I am working on knitting a new scarf pattern for myself, and want to weave that weaving lace project you have on your website, and sew something too
By the way, for learning to weave, you are the BEST site on the web, so thank you for keeping it going, love it,

Knitting, but not. 🙂 I’m working on crochet Granny Squares – up to 138. Finished a simple but pretty bracelet on my new bead loom I got on Etsy – sold the super expensive and cool but very complicated one. Pulled out a counted cross stitch that I have not touched for over a decade and have learned that size 18 pale blue fabric is a lot smaller than it used to be! Just got some Ashford 5/2 unmercerized cotton delivered so it’ll be dishtowels on my table loom in a couple of weeks. Also waiting on my Lojan rigid heddle loom that knock wood will be shipped in a week or so.

LOL! Knitting! It is my original passion, and now seems to take a back seat to weaving when there is something warped on my loom and it calls me with it’s siren’s song. But if it is empty (rarely) and there is a knitting project stimulating my brain and dopamine receptors, then knitting wins. I am also on a crochet blanket kick and am on my third consecutive filled granny square blanket (a la Battenberg Blanket) and my brain is completely fulfilled!

Since retiring almost 20 years ago, I have attempted to learn many crafts with weaving being the longest lasting attempt. I enjoy learning new things and recently started painting lessons! Huge jump for me. During the daylight hours I enjoy painting and weaving. However, at night I enjoy crocheting and reading. I have tried and tried to knit but I am a complete failure.

Knitting! Interesting result. I’ve just bought an E-Spinner and wondering what to do with my ‘art’ yarn. Not enough for weaving and too hard to crochet with, so knitting it is. 😁 Thanks Kelly.

I am finally following up a project started just before the Bendigo Sheep Show, which was causing me grief. As it is knitting on a knitting machine, I think I have found the problem and am now ready to continue.

That’s great, I love the satisfaction that comes from working through a problem ❤️
