Currently there are over 60 classes available on my Online Weaving School. That is a lot of classes!
With all of that information, it can be a little tricky for new visitors to navigate the space according to their weaving level.
This little tutorial will show you how easy it is to find a class to suit you!
I have categorised each class into one of three categories:
- Suitable for beginners
- Suitable for weavers with some experience
- Suitable for advanced
*One disclaimer. These categories are general terms that I put together to help you find your way around my classes. They are not set in stone. And please, don’t be put off trying a class just because it’s marked as advanced. Different weavers learn in a variety of ways and at differing rates. If you’re interested in a class, have a look at it before you determine that it’s not for you.
OK, on your homepage at the top left you will see “Category: All”, with a little green upside down triangle next to “All”.
Click on the upside down triangle and a drop down menu will appear.
There are lots of different categories apart from the three I already mentioned. These are in alphabetical order and just there to further help you find classes.
Scroll down until you reach categories beginning with “S”.
Select the option that you think would be the best fit for your level by clicking on it. I selected “Suitable for beginners”.
You will be taken to a new screen showing you all of the classes that come under the category you collected. From here, you can find out more about any of these classes by simply clicking on the thumbnail.
If you want to check out another category, you simply go back up to the top, click on the upside down triangle next to “Category: All” again and repeat the steps already described.
One of the reasons I chose Teachable as a hosting platform is that I felt it was very straightforward and easy to navigate. However, I have made an additional resource for you, to help make site navigation crystal clear – giving you the best learning experience. This free mini class covers these topics:
- Site overview/how to navigate
- Your avatar
- Managing your profile
- Managing your subscriptions
- How to access/purchase classes
You can access the Teachable Tutorial by clicking here.
I hope this helps you, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to comment under this post. I’m always open to suggestions for how I can improve my school, so I welcome your thoughts on this as well.
Until next time…
Happy Weaving!
Pam
If i purchase monthly membership and later decide to purchase yearly membership will i lose access to original files purchased in the monthly subscription?
Kelly
No, the files are downloadable, however classes are streamed, not downloaded (that is an anti theft measure I have to take). So, you have access to classes while you have an active membership.
Hope that makes sense!
Devon
Hi Kelly,
Do you offer personal classes, one-on-one instruction, or like a troubleshooting session? My partner has an annual membership, and I thought it would be a nice gift to get her a half-hour or hour with you (via video conference) where she could ask specific questions.
Money isnβt too much of a factor since itβs a gift.
Thanks.
Kelly
Hi Devon,
I’m sorry, this is not something I currently offer. She is always welcome to email me with any issues she is having though π
Cynthia
Hi, how can I gift a class to my sister. I signed up for the Art Cloth class, but I also want to give it as a birthday present.
Cynthia
Kelly
That is lovely Cynthia! Yes, you can purchase the class, then get your sister to make a Teachable account (if she doesn’t already have one). Let me know her account email and then I can enrol her properly in the class.
Let me know if you need more information or want to go ahead with it π
Stephanie
I am very interested in the Clasped Warp class. After I sign up for the course, how long do I have access to the learning materials? The materials list does not provide any information on yarns for the project. I would have to mail order yarns.
Kelly
Hi Stephanie,
Once you purchase a class, you have permanent access to it. As soon as the purchase is made you can access all the materials information and details.
I hope that helps, but let me know if you have any more questions π
Amy Rubin
Hello Kelly, I am interester in taking courses but am confused about the fees. Is there a signing up fee and then fees for the individual classes?
Kelly
Hi Amy,
You can choose between purchasing single classes or a membership. A membership is better value for money if you want to go through quite a few classes.
The Gold level membership gives you access to the entire class library, including feature classes for a year. You also get early access to new classes as I make them.
The Yearly membership gives you access to the class library but not feature classes.
The 6 monthly and monthly memberships are the same as the yearly in terms of access, but for different time periods.
Let me know if you have any more questions π

Hi Kelly, I just purchased a 8 peddle table Varpapuu loom. Im a complete beginner and know nothing. Do you have a suitable course that will help me please. Thanks
Kelly
Hi Marina,
Yes, I have a table loom course. I use an Ashford 8 shaft table loom, but there are a lot of similarities between it and your loom, so I think you would find the class valuable. Here is the link for you to have a look -https://kelly-casanova-weaving-lessons.teachable.com/p/table-loom/?preview=logged_out
Evlin Clark
Kelly I went and looked at that class and it says for a 4 shaft loom.. I also have an 8 shaft is there a way you can do this on 8 shaft or is there other classes for that?
Kelly
Sorry Evlin, I’m not sure which class you’re referring to?
Christy
Thanks Kelly! I really appreciate all you do to make your weaving school so easy to navigate! It’s funny that I’ve seen that little drop down arrow and never thought to use it, sometimes I wonder about my old brain! Lol! You are one of the best teachers out there and I’m always recommending you. Thanks again!
Kelly
I know, but the drop down is not all that obvious, so it’s good to remind people what it’s there for π
Joyce Lowder
Hi, Kelly! Yes! I have heard that expression about losing my head π Thanks for this link! You are forgiven for the oversight; you have been busy preparing for your family’s “reunion”! Hope all is well and that all are enjoying each other’s company! Memories are made of this! π
Kelly
Thank you Joyce, he is home safe and happy π
Sole
Hello Kelly, is the cost of the classes expressed in US or AUS dollars? Thank you
Kelly
All prices are in U.S. dollars. Let me know if you have any other questions!
