I love weaving rigid heddle and on my 2 floor looms. I need to learn and attempt more since I had to give up fiber processing recently due to health issues. We had to rehome our 4sheep and 2 alpaca as well. So now I need to refocus and /or change gears.

My Family bought me a Rigid Heddle Loom last year for my birthday. Since then I enrolled in your Premium course and found that teaches me every thing I would like to know and more as well as answering my questions. Everyone in the family has things I have woven for them and they are now requesting items that are woven.
I have some chronic illnesses which can debilitate me at times but I find that weaving can take me out of that headspace and help a lot especially when I’m down.

I’m a fairly new weaver and I know I could do much more on my rigid heddle loom (which would lessen my loom envy and desire for a floor loom 😀 ). There is so much to learn that a Premium membership would allow me to keep going.
My very first weaving course was the Weaving Boot Camp that I did on my rigid heddle loom. I recently took an Intro to Floor Looms class through a local guild, and I’m so excited to continue the learning I did in these two classes. I would like to thank you for all you do. You will never know how much you have helped me along this weaving journey that I’ve started. I had your premium membership for a year but then I couldn’t afford again when the membership money was due so I had to cancel it. I think having your membership would give me the confidence to do those harder classes that I wasn’t able to get to before. Now I watch you on YouTube and that has to be it for now. You’re an excellent teacher. I love your sensibility about things and I absolutely love your home and everything about it it’s like a fairy tale to me.
I still have sooooo much to learn! I’m trying new techniques and then itching to do yet another, but with only one loom I’ve gotta wait till the current project is off the loom and finished. I subscribe to multiple weaving groups on Facebook. That really helps with ideas and encouragement. I’m so new to weaving, a passion that I’ve wanted to pursue since I was a young girl but just didn’t have the means to fulfill. I’ve always been attracted to textile arts. I learned to crochet and knit as a child, can do simple sewing but by no means am I a seamstress. Have done macrame projects but until I began weaving, about a year ago, I never realized just how much I love the process and it’s possibilities. Your classes have helped me so much. I’m very much a Visional Learner & pick up things pretty quickly and try to challenge myself with the montra, ” It’s all a learning experience, Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.”

I am so excited to have found your site. Many years ago, I took weaving lessons and had to quit when we moved away. Now there are no weaving resources within a 3 hour drive of me- online is the only option. I’ve been wanting to start weaving again, since I loved it, but I don’t even know where to start. I am so overwhelmed, and following chapter to chapter through a how to weaving book has been difficult. Online lessons have been unaffordable, so thank you for the possible opportunity.

I found you when I was just learning to weave so tho I can not afford to pay for classes you have been teaching all along my journey and still are I have been sharing you with lots of people.,they love you too. I’ve sorted of fallen by the wayside with respect to my weaving journey as I’ve been busy the last three years training I. Shiatsu. But I’m done now, and I’d Love to get back to lear ING more about how to make all sorts of different patterns and styles of weaving with my loom. AND I now also have a four shaft Ashford table loom I was gifted by one of my shiatsu teachers which I have set up but haven’t had a chance to use yet. I’d love to get going again with my now greater ability to create various patterns. Before all I had was a two shaft knitters loom.

I started with your beginning Tapestry class as I had just purchased a simple “pipe” tapestry loom and still use it. How wonderful and thank you for the chance. I only started weaving a couple of years ago and I love it. After many years as f being told rigid heddle weavers are not true weavers, I was fortunate enough to find a wonderful teacher and take a beginning class in January. I’ve not looked back since. I joined Kelly’s school years ago while learning rigid heddle weaving. Kelly’s teaching style resonated with me and I have/am learned/learning so much from her. Over the years, I moved more to a floor loom and had to give up my subscription as retirement finances got tight. I just couldn’t stand it and ended up resubscribing on a monthly basis. I have been weaving on rigid heddle loom for several years, mainly tea towels and scarves. When I discovered your classes, a whole new world of possibilities opened up. I have taken the Krokbragd class, and I just completed a project for the tapestry on rigid heddle loom class. I have been playing with yarn since I was a child, with knitting and crochet. Discovering your classes opened up a whole universe of other possibilities, and I am so thankful for that.

I bought a rigid heddle loom during the pandemic, and in the last six months I;ve been given a 40 inch Pendleton floor loom and most recently an 8 shaft Leclerc Dorothyloom. Congratulations on an amazing 7 years. You have taught so many new weavers, myself included. You have such a calm and thorough way of explaining the process. My personal weaving journey started right before I had two major shoulder operation that took place days before the pandemic hit. I was not able to have physical therapy as a result. I rehabbed by weaving. My doctor was amazed at how well I recovered by doing my own rehab. Since then life has many twists and turns. It’s now time to work on learning more complex techniques. Congratulations! I live in a remote part of Western Australia. When I lost much of my sight due to a car accident I could not quilt. So I looked around for another craft. Congratulations on achieving this milestone. I meet new weavers and those with RH looms but no mentors every day. Your classes are the ones I always recommend they start with first. Why?? Because you repeat the technique process over and over, allowing new weavers to actually weave with you and watch your techniques which they can then emulate. Your communication skills are excellent, so for those that are auditory learners you meet their needs as well.

I am still very new to weaving and have purchased several of your classes. I’ve not completed them because of moving back and forth across the US. Hopefully I will be approved for buying a little retirement home in the next few weeks and moving from California back to Florida. That said, I’ll finally be able to devote many more hours to weaving on my 16” Ashford Rigid heddle and my Inkle looms. I want to move up to a 4 shaft eventually. This would make such a difference to me. I have a rigid heddle loom which has slumbered at the bottom of my wardrobe for about ten years. Happy 7th year! I have just started my journey with the rigid heddle loom. I now have two of them of different sizes and just recently bought a table loom but have not put it together yet. I have made some scarves and made the diamond towels just recently, just finishing them off in the next day or so. I have learned so much from all the lessons you have and want to do a lot more. I have only been weaving for a few months but feel like I have more confidence because of the classes I have seen and tried. I want to build on that as time goes on. I think winning would help me continue my journey and learn much more.

I have just acquired a rigid heddle loom and my journey started two weeks ago. Enjoying it a lot!
With a huge stash of wool and cotton, I need to get started on working it down and this win will give me the knowledge to know which yarns to use and where to start.
I’m fairly new to weaving and can see there are many things to learn. Premium membership would speed up my journey in this exciting craft.
Many years ago I made an Inkle loom in a shop class. I still have it and have aquired and table and floor loom from an estate sale. This would help me begin my weaving once again (haven’t since school in the early 70’s). I know really nothing so need all the help I can get with the limited time I can spare (still working and a musician 5 nights a week).
It would be so very lovely to have more help with my journey to become a good weaver.
I have no friends or family who weave and they do in fact seem to think that I have turned ‘weird’!
I’m so proud of what I have woven so far but there is so much more to learn.

Your classes are really great! Never too fast, which makes it easy to see what to do, how the strings should look like and where I could make mistakes. I was a little curious about weaving, so I gave it a try without having big plans for it. From many floats to basically zero in just one video, really made me enjoying it so much more than I ever thought I would. And now my head i full of things I could do and could try. Thanks for introducing me to this amazing hobby!

Starting weaving has been the best thing that has happened in my life in a long while, it is giving me such satisfaction to be able to create something on my own. Your creativity is amazing and inspirational! I was making a few handwoven things but life and illness has gotten in my way to create beautiful weavings! I am retired now and after living with metastatic breast cancer for a few years, I want to get back to the one craft I love, weaving! I need guidance and classes to spark my fire again. I can’t plan a vacation, but I can plan my next weaving project or pick out the next class I’ll do. Sitting down at the loom has become the time I look forward to every day, and I’m so grateful to you for your classes which have given me the tools I need to create beautiful things.

I lost my husband, John, on Christmas Eve. I am weaving a tapestry to honor him (he was a master weaver and an expert of Old Colonial Overshott) by cutting strips of his old shirts, jeans and pyjamas. I get inspiration as I go along. His ties also get used. I’ll post a picture when it’s done. It’s slow going as I don’t get much time to weave these days, but when I do, it’s music to my soul.

I have loved all classes that I’ve taken from you but i have also loved. learning about your family, thank you for sharing.. Oh wow what a generous prize!! Winning this would take me from a basic ridged heddle weaver to a more confident weaver – i might even give shafted weaving a go!!
I would love to learn about weaving—I have a granddaughter who wants to learn to weave also—so then I can teach her too.

Kelly, congratulations on your milestone! It’s evident how tirelessly you’ve worked to put together this collection of videos and lessons. I learned the beginnings of weaving from your videos before I’d even bought my loom. After my Cricket 15″ arrived, I began weaving with you, following step by step. I was hooked, so I upgraded to an Ashford 28″. I just signed up for your classes a couple weeks ago and am looking forward to buckling down and learning some more difficult techniques.
I love your creativity. I got my first loom and took a class in November. My 24” ashord rigid heddle then invited some friends to join it so now I have an inkle loom, 12” ashford knitters rigid heddle, Brooklyn 16” 4 shaft loom and an ashford 48” rigid heddle. All of them are busy all of the time keeping me occupied. Your classes help me greatly. Love this service.

Congratulations on #7!!! I have taken a few of your classes and watched several videos. Your ability as an instructor is amazing because you are down to earth and understandable. In other words, you don’t talk over my head. Thank you for all you do! I have a great desire to further my weaving abilities. Being on a fixed income is a huge adjustment which makes me financially unable to afford many luxuries So winning a years subscription to your classes would absolutely be amazing!!!!

I love creating. I recently learned how to weave and I am obsessed. I can make basic items and would love to learn to be a great weaver. The craft is so incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. I can’t wait to find the next project.
I am a relatively new Rigid heddle Weaver. I lost my 32 year old son to cancer five months ago. Weaving is my meditation. He was a computer programmer for work and a runner and furniture maker for fun. During the hours I spend on the loom I remember his smile, his joy for life and his love for his family. As my life has unraveled, weaving is the my way of creating a new life together for my remaking son, adoptive son, my husband and the many other friends and family impacted by his loss.
I just learning to weave and want to learn all i can sadly they lesson thought know are worth it are a bove what i can afford but i do watch your you tube videos winning this prize will be such a great treat for me

Your classes have helped me so much in my rigid heddle journey and you’re helping me build confidence to actually consider a floor loom someday. I never thought I could do anything more than a single heddle and pick up sticks, but your diamond twill weave a long helped me learn so much about double heddles and to me, the possibilities are nearly endless with a rigid heddle!
