I have enjoyed your Utube content and the school of weaving. Kelly’s teaching style is just like a conversation with a very thoughtful, knowledgable friend about weaving techniques. She looks at the technique from different angles, which is so helpful to truly understand what is happening. The quality of my weaving improved because of the little hints Kelly shares to make the movements smooth. Congrats on the 5th birthday!

I’ve wanted to learn to weave for a while, but the size and price tags of thr looms I saw intimidated me. The owner of my local yarn store suggested a 15″ rigid heddle loom to accompany their beginner class. Naturally, I couldn’t wait two and a half weeks to get started! I started looking around on line and stumbled across one of your YouTube videos. I’m saving up to join the weaving school, and I really appreciate the free videos you provide in the mean time. I mentioned your site to my local weaving teacher, and she also says your content is great. 🙂 I’m just starting my weaving journey, and I look forward to signing up for some of your classes.

Kelly’s Online Weaving School has 100% got me going to be able to weave at all! I would not be able to do what I can do today without the classes, and I still refer to them, especially the Table Loom class. She is the best teacher and I am so glad that I found her. *Grin* I can now warp up a ridgid heddle loom and a table loom, I can do all sorts of patterns. I’ve made towels for presents and even won second prize for one of my towels at the Royal Easter Show. Thanks, Kelly!

Hi Kelly,
Your online weaving school has heled me to make items that I am proud of because you are so good at explaining what to look out for and how to go about producing a consistent weave. You have also inspired me to realise that I am not limited by what I can produce on my rigid heddle loom. I love your creativity and your ability to teach in a kind and caring manner, and your willingness to share your knowledge and experience. Congratulations on 5 years or teaching and evolving your weaving techniques so that we can all benefit.

I am a re-beginning weaver since I started weaving 6 years ago and suffered a serious injury 6 months into my learning. I have been through surgery and rehab and am finally able to use my arm sufficiently to begin weaving. I love having the videos to watch her and over again. Kelly s an amazing teacher and very motivating

Hi Kelly, way back in 2006 during a visit to New Zealand, my husband and I visited the weavers who did the fabric for Narnia and Lord of the Rings. I fell in love then but had no space or money for a floor loom. Forward to 2018 and my husband discovered and bought me a rigid heddle loom for Christmas. I was just getting comfortable with it when the pandemic hit. Your classes helped me learn how to use the loom and in such creative ways. You and your classes helped keep me from feeling disconnected during the last two years.
Ulla
When I purchased a rigid heddle loom, a first I had ever even seen, I looked up internet to find tips and beyond the basic weave. My searches kept coming back to your YouTube channel. I learned pick-up patterns, double heddle and all sort of things I never encountered with the big floor looms I had ever woven with before.
You have the best videos and content I have come across online in my search of wisdom and help.
Rigid heddle looms are slowly gaining popularity also here in Scandinavia where we have a long and strong history of weaving, but with the big things, and there is barely any content of rigid heddle weaving available online or offline. I’m so thankful there are people like you willing to share the how’s and why’s of the amazing craft of rigid heddle weaving! Thank you!
Bonnie Boswell
I just love your videos and lessons Kelly. You have such a great teaching method. I have been weaving on my rigid heddle for quite a few years but, after watching some of your youtube videos, I realized I have only scratched the surface of what can be done with it. I joined your weaving school and watched lessons, including your beginner classes. There were a few things that I learned from the beginner classes that I had either not known about or learned an easier way to do it. My rigid heddle loom had been put away for quite a while but you inspired me to dig it out, buy a stand, and keep it front and center in my living room.

Kelley, happy anniversary and congratulations! My husband got me a loom last year, and he did a lot of research before making the purchase. Your YouTube channel and blog really helped him to make the decision about what to purchase and also to know how much I was going to love it. As soon as he gave it to me he recommended that I look you up and learn from you. It was the best advice. So far I have purchased Woe to Go and also downloaded the heart scarf and the wash your hands towels, plus I have watched many of your videos, many many times. You are a great teacher and I also love how you have created a giving, sharing community. It really inspires me to want to learn more about this awesome skill. I love making gifts for people in my life and you have helped my with that. Thank you for everything and please keep up the good work!
Theresa Cussimanio
I love it for my go to when I can’t remember how to do something. If I have a question you always answer it. Thanks
Donna chafin
Kelly, I’m so grateful for accidentally finding you on Utube several years back. What really fascinated me were the table runners with trees, reindeer, and gift boxes. Your teaching is so easy to understand and follow. It is your gift. I’m a Premium member and love it! Congratulations on 5 years. The skirt class sounds very interesting to me and something to look forward to.
Samantha T
I always said I wanted to learn how to weave “someday”. Well, 6 moths ago was someday and I learned how to weave on a RHL because of you 😁
Michelle khoury
Love your classes! So happy to have found you. I have learned so much!
Melissa S Lewis
Before my surgery, the Online Workshop has taught me so much about this new (to me) adventure in weaving. All the possibilities available in your Online teachings have my head swimming with ideas. Two more weeks & I’ll be back at my loom.
Tammi Mannix
Happy Birthday and Congratulations! I adore all of your weaving lessons! You explain everything so well! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Mario
Congratulations on 5 years!
I remember seeing your videos when I was first learning how to use my rigid heddle loom. You’ve taught me so many techniques, including how to use pick up sticks and do doubleweave. I now use both a rigid heddle and a floor loom, and I still use what I’ve learned from you every day! I love weaving, and you’re part of the reason why.
Dorothy Anne Kaiser
Hi Kelly
I started on a smaller loon and then purchased a larger rigid heddle. I joined your weaving school and it helps me in so many ways as well as challenges me to try something new. It has gotten me out of a few messes as well. Love your videos and explanations. Congrats on 5 years.
Lauri
Thank you very much for generously sharing your knowledge via free tutorials and patterns. I’ve enjoyed so many of them I took the plunge and signed up for Premium Membership.
I began weaving when my husband passed 3 years ago and find it very calming and zen-like. The creative process is therapeutic and your work is inspirational. Looking forward to learning more!
Kerri
Thank you I am blessed to have found your marvellous page . I was looking up hem stitch and there you were with your lovely calm voice and caring manner. Then I put the heddle on back to front , oh what a pickle , back to Kelly I went and you helped me out again .
It’s the best $127 I’ve spent in a long time . Have to dash I’m afraid off to watch how to dabble in the double heddle 👍🏼.
Joan Morse
I’ve been weaving for a couple of years now, mostly learning on my own. Your blogs and videos have been such a great help. Thank you!
Gerd
Congrats from Germany!
I love your weaving school!

Whether the multi-shaft-to-rigid heddle loom are eventually for me or not, I keep getting dragged into one of Kelly’s project-classes and exploring the limits one type of loom.
All the YouTube videos have helped me get started, or supplemented visually to questions I had and didn’t always know how to state.
I’m a fan.
Kelly: Keep doing what you do best: teach us the fun of the rigid heddle loom.

Hi Kelly, i am the absolute beginner and weaving my first Projekt according your instructions. Nice hat i find you. Ist is very helpfull.

Congratulations on 5 years!
I first found your videos when I was looking for clear instructions on hemstitching. Yours was the best demonstrated, and easiest to see exactly what you were doing. Thank you!

I ran across your blog/Youtube Fall ‘21 when I finally purchased a loom after spending a whole year thinking about it. Dove in headfirst to make scarves as Christmas gifts, to great success. Your channel was very helpful when it came to answering problems for beginners, and it is answering more of my questions as I begin to wade a little deeper into weaving waters. It is only a matter of time before I join the OWS — just waiting to have a block of free time. At this point, just the knowledge that OWS exusts allows me to hope in my future weaving accomplishments. When I first began to search for local resources, I was stymied by both the scarcity of resources for beginners, as well as the pandemic. I have managed to make a connection with a local shop, whose select employees were knowledgeable about the local weaving comminity…they just don’t have a visible online presence. The best part about having you as a weaving resource is that I can look you up whenever I feel the urge to work on a project, not having to add another in-person appointment (or more driving) to the schedule. Thank you so much for deciding to reach out to the worldwide community of weaving, rather than keep yourself local.
Judy
Kelly, your lessons have opened up a whole new world to me. I have worked with stained glass and clay for years. Because of a downsizing move, I had to store my glass and pottery equipment. We have no room right now for a studio for me, or much of anything else either. I found myself climbing the walls over the winter (long and very cold here). I figured I could eat everything in sight until spring or find something else to do with my hands. Years ago I used to make simple twined rugs on a frame loom (which I’d given away) so I thought I’d take a look at looms online. One link led to another, then to videos, then to YOU! I jumped in with both feet and ordered a loom. When it arrived I put it together, and then sat and stared at it, for some reason too chicken to warp it. It sat for WEEKS! I finally got back on the internet and began to watch your videos again. After bingeing on them for another couple days, I finally warped my loom and within a couple of days had made a length of simple dish cloths. After that, I decided to buy a smaller loom for sampling. I’ve since made all kinds of textured cloth, and tried all kinds of different patterns and colorways, have worked in beads here and there, and am hankering to try tapestry weaving – all spurred on by your friendly and encouraging lessons! So, thank you for sharing your gift with the rest of us. I have to say, besides the joy of weaving something beautiful, working with yarn is SO much easier on my hands than glass and clay.
Marina Welch
Congratulations on 5 years – that is awesome. I’m so grateful for your videos and classes. I would be lost without them. Thank you.
Annette Haehn
I am new to weaving and just enrolled to the weaving school for 6 months. The first class I am taking is the ‚From WOE to GO‘ and I am now in the middle of the first placemat. Your teaching style is so wonderful, you have a calming friendly manner that really speaks to me. I am looking forward to an interesting weaving journey!
Lisa Romberg
Dear Kelly, My weaving journey began with your videos. You helped me decide on a rigid heddle loom and then I made my very first project, your free tote bag pattern. Your style of teaching was perfect for me and I found I could watch and rematch the videos until I could really understand. I always felt as if you were sitting right there beside me. I felt supported and encouraged and as I have grown in confidence, I have felt so good to know I can occasionally share my own experiences with the wonderful, charitable and kind weavers in your member’s group.
Edie Horton
Hi Kelly, during lockdown 2 years ago my amazingly kind sister bought me an Ashford knitters loom and a nearby friend showed me how to use it as she has one. I found you after your you tube videos were suggested as a great resource by my friend, and I joined right away.
While I’ve been feeling my own way at my own pace, your tutorials have made this craft accessible toe in a way no one else could have
It’s been a source of comfort and joy as I love creating, and I live learning new things. It’s such a mentally-stimulating thing to do!
My mental health has benefitted from your classes, and my skill certainly has!
Jolanda
Hi, five years….time flys when you are haring a good time!
I follow you on YouTube and I like that. Thank you for Youri inspiration.
Helen Peak
Hi Kelly, congratulations on your fantastic on line weaving school. I don’t know how you manage to fit everything in to your busy life but am very grateful that you do. Learning to weave has been so good for me and I am very keen to keep learning with you. Your teaching style is great and easy to understand and our responses to my queries very prompt. Please keep up the great work!
Diane Massing
Both my husband and I took a weaving class recently, since we have had our rigid heddles (32″ each) for 2 years. We started watching your utube videos and wish we had started weaving years ago. You make everything so interesting, and easy to understand. Happy 5th anniversary! Looking forward to learning more from you with our membership for your weaving school that I purchased recently. Thanks for all you do to encourage everyone to be a better weaver! Happy weaving!!!
Joyce VanTassel
I have enjoyed the weaving school pretty much from the start. Kelly, your teaching style is awesome and you have always responded to my questions very quickly and I love the encouragement you share as well. I’m 68 years old and always wanted to learn to weave and your school has helped me with that goal. I can’t thank you enough.
Kathy Lemke
Hi Kelly
Congratulations on your 5th Birthday 🎉
You are the reason I get so excited about weaving.
You are a natural teacher and your videos are so easy to understand and follow. You seem like such a warm and kind person, you set me at ease the minute I start watching your videos! It is not necessary to enter me in the drawing, I simply want to let you know that you have made such a difference and I’m certain we would be friends if we lived near each other (unfortunately Wisconsin, USA is very far away!). I hope you continue with your videos for a very, very long time!
Lynn Nelson
I am a brand new weaver that came to know of you through your wonderful youtube channel. I thank you for your generosity in sharing your wealth of knowledge about weaving with the world. I quickly became a member of your school. I appreciate your desire to pay it forward and ensure that in this technological age our human family does not lose these critical skills. I learn so much from your videos, especially from watching your skillful hands. A picture truly is worth a thousand words. From your helpful teachings, I take away not only knowledge about the art and craft of weaving, but the belief and feeling that I too can weave. I am honored to be part of the Kelly Casanova ” lineage” of handweavers. Thank you.
Amy Grant
Congrats on 5 years Kelly – you deserve all the success you’ve obviously worked so hard for! You must be so proud to have taught so many people all over the world how to weave – Earth is a kinder, better and more colorful place because of weavers! Thanks for all you do – we all appreciate you so much!
Carey Neikirk
Thank you Kelly for all your hard work to run your weaving school. It is truly awesome. I really enjoy all your emails, blogs, videos, etc. It’s so nice to be a part of an encouraging community. Best wishes for many more years of your school!
Barbara Graf
Talk about be busy for 5 years. I have only been weaving for a year now. My mother-in-law told me all about your exciting very helpfull videos. I guess now is the time to get a membership. So excited to learn some new stuff.
Catherine Hall
Congrats on 5 years! The online weaving school has helped me become much more confident in my weaving. I still consider myself in the beginner/iintermediate mode, and when I need to figure something out, there is always a video for my questions. And I love having patterns that I can check out, make projects, etc. Kelly’s videos are excellent. I love being able to see it, not just read it. Kelly is calm, understandable, I’ve learned a lot and I intend to keep learning!
Barbara Stern
Kelly,
The On-line Weaving School has, for almost 5 years that I’ve been a member, helped me with my creativity, has increased my knowledge of all types of weaving, and it has been just plain fun!
I am currently working on two Japanese Journey projects (almost done with the 2nd one) and I’m starting to think which of your amazing courses to start next.
Thanks for everything!
Barbara

Happy Birthday
I have only been weaving for about a year and have learned so much from you. Had I known about the Weaving School sooner, I probably would have started weaving sooner. Thanks so much for all you contribute to the weaving community.
Judith Ortolano
So very excited to have found you and all the wonderful information you share. I was having difficulties finding classes for my rigid heddle loom so you are the answer! I am looking forward to expanding my skill!
Debora Bass
I’ve been a member for a couple of years and during the pandemic shutdown it was great to be able to watch videos and learn something new. Thank you for all your hard work and encouragement!
Paula Tabor
5 years! Wow! I found you last fall after the purchase of my first rigid heddle loom. I found a local guild, but they hold meetings and classes during my work day, so there is no way I can attend. I like that I can log on any time I choose., and that the classes are divided into short sections, which makes it so easy to watch a few during my lunch hour or while waiting somewhere. You have such a wide variety of topics, it’s difficult to choose! I appreciate all your effort and time to make your learning platform so versatile. I would t change a thing!
Trine Lund
Der Kelly,
Your weaving school inspires me to try new things on my rigid heddle loom. I got started with help from some of your YouTube videos and later my husband bought a membership for me.
Love your videos, and your down-to-earth (Wonder if that expression works in english) way of showing us how to do.
Love from Trine (Denmark)
Barbara Durdin
Kelly gave me inspiration to try weaving, I have been a spinner ,knitter and quilter for along time. After having my heart attack in 2020 I felt like a bucket list,so weaving was it. Found it easy to follow and no pressure to achieve perfection on the first try, have made a few scarfs will progress to cloth soon,in hopes of using my handspun. Thank you Kelly for all your hard work putting videos and patterns for all of us.
Kathy Thorndike
Congrats on 5 years of your weaving school. I have enjoyed and learn from the videos and classes that I have taken from you. You are a teacher that we tell new weavers to check out. I’m hoping that you go ahead with your plans for designing and weaving your cloths as that is something that I would love to learn. I have researched pattern making for a number of years but have not spent the time to get very far.
Graham Bell
Easy to follow videos and tutorials.
Excellent teacher. 🙂

I have learned so much in such a short time watching your lessons! Thank you for sharing your talent and artistry with us! Weaving has quickly become my favorite hobby!

Have only recently found your Online Weaving School as I have been researching what loom to buy so I can get started weaving. Very happy to have found your informative videos and knowing there is a wonderful source for teaching me as I learn this new skill. Being able to access these resources online gives me confidence that I will be able to get started and progressively learn and master the required skills. Lots of interesting and useful projects as well.. Looking forward to ordering my loom and to be able to start learning whilst I await it’s arrival.
Cindy Rowits
Happy 5th Birthday! What a journey you’ve had!
I am a new weaver and find your videos very helpful and supportive! You film close enough to the project to see what’s happening, you provide great detail and have a good pace of presentation. All of this had given me confidence to dive into weaving and expand my knowledge and skills. Thank You!
dorothy
Congrats! I started weaving on a rigid heddle during the pandemic, and am now weaving on an 8 shaft floor loom. I have thoroughly enjoyed all your videos that have helped me learn both kids of weaving. I know I would not have progressed so quickly without your program, Thank you!
Robyn Becker
Congratulations on a wonderful 5 years. You have been and continue to be an outstanding weaving instructor and penpal. I almost made it to Australia for a visit but then the pandemic stepped in. I hope that life brings me another opportunity to meet you in person. In the meantime keep on teaching and showing others how online instruction should be done. I’m so proud of what you have accomplished.
Colleen Grogan
I loved hearing about the beginnings of the weaving school! I joined during the pandemic and have never looked back. Thank you for introducing me to so many new techniques, giving me confidence at my loom. Celebrating with you is so much fun!!
Sharon Cronk
Congratulations on 5 years. Your videos have inspired me to learn a new skill during the pandemic for the last two years. I’ve watched your videos over and over and am putting my new skills to practical use. I just enrolled in the online school so I can keep learning. As soon as my current project is finished I’m going to go straight into the herringbone scarf!
isabelle
5 Years, how wonderful! Technology has this great advantage; it allows for easy connection and knowledge sharing from people all over the world. That way I can learn from you, while I am on the other side of the planet.
Jessica Jamison-Wells
Hi Kelly. I’ve been a member of your school for several years now and often go back in to tackle new ideas or to remind myself how to do something. I’ve learned do much from you and your classes. I had always wanted to learn how to weave so when I retired 5 years ago now, I found some videos and purchased a small rigid heddle loom to see if it was as wonderful as I thought it was. I then found your school and took off from there. I’m a pretty solitary person and my weaving has made me feel a part of a group that I truly got with. If that makes sense. Mt husband passed in January and I’ve been a little lost adjusting to being truly alone on property that I’m not sure I can take care of but will try because I’ve been here for 35 years and my husband and I loved it. I’ve also had trouble concentrating and completing tasks. Your school and members of it, and positive energy is helping to bring me back as I’m starting to weave again so I thank you and want you to know that I appreciate you and the school. Truly congratulations for you years and success.
Kelly
I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope you can manage on the property, I understand you wanting to stay, I feel the same about my home. All the memories you would have shared together. I’m so glad you’re feeling like weaving again, I have heard from so many women in your situation who have been able to work through their grief through being creative and sharing with an online community.
Gai Butler
Congratulations on five wonderful years Kelly! I’ll always be grateful for accidentally stumbling upon your YouTube videos a few years ago. From that point I purchased my first RH loom and took out, and continue with, top membership at your weaving school. I’ve always been into ‘doing something with my hands’, but discovering weaving is the thing that has given me the most joy. Belonging to your weaving school has not only taught, and continues to teach, me so much about how to weave and expand my skills, it has given me the far greater gift of friendship of like-minded folk. For the most part, I’ve been on a solitary journey with all of my ‘crafty’ endeavours….until weaving came into my life. Though only meeting virtually, I really feel that I finally belong in a group….. this wonderful group of so many lovely, talented and caring people. Meeting so many amazing friends online through the school, also gave me the confidence to attend and join the local Handspinners & Weavers Guild…something the ‘before school’ me would have never felt confident enough to do. I have a lot to thank you and your school for Kelly. So, CONGRATULATIONS!!! again on five wonderfully successful years of teaching, sharing and caring with and for your students…I’ll be happily joining in to watch your continued success over the next five years!
Alet Mostert
Congrats with your 5th! My wish for you is to go from strenght to strenght. I love your videos and some day I will be able to buy a membership. Keep up the good work and God bless.
Tracy Dally
Kelly congratulations on your 5th birthday of your weaving school! I’m in my second year of having a yearly membership and prior to that I purchased a few of your classes and learned so much. I stumbled onto several of your free videos in 2018 and saved them in my YouTube account as Kelly Casanova so I could refer back to them when needed. I love your manner of teaching and I’m so glad you forged ahead and have plans to keep going. I wish I had more time to weave. I work full time at a sewing machine dealership in Fort Worth Texas selling sewing, embroidery, quilting machines and sergers. I too teach hands-on classes there and once a month at a local quilt shop. I look at weaving, knitting and crochet as my outlet that I can have as my own pleasure. I occasionally make garments, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing what you come up with in weaving fabric for a skirt.
Noelle Eslick
Happy birthday! I really enjoy your lessons and patterns. Wishing for you many more successful years.
Edith Wagner
Every time I visit my mom, she has me sitting down at her floor loom to weave. I took a liking to it, that I asked my husband for a rigid heddle loom for Christmas. It’s been three years and I have enjoyed learning and trying new fabrics or yarns to weave with. This journey took me to Kelly’s weaving school, I have enjoyed the classes that gives you opportunities to weave with more heddles, pick up sticks and how to make a heddle rod. My next goal is to purchase a table or floor loom. I know where I will turn to in order to warp my loom. Thank you Kelly for the opportunities that you have given me to expand my learning with all your videos and classes. Happy anniversary 🎉🎉🎉
Ruth
I started weaving a few years before I found your online weaving school. What a difference this has made to me! You have enabled me to make so much more progress and grow in confidence in my weaving. To the extent that I feel I could start selling some items in order to fund purchase of more yarn. I enjoy weaving so much more with your relaxed style of teaching and I am able to weave at my own pace around working. I hope to retire this year, move nearer to our grandchilden, and create a weaving studio to spend my time weaving when not looking after our lovely grandchildren. Thank you so much for your online weaving school that I can join from half way round the world in the UK. Ruth
Kris DeWild
Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary! For a while I purchased individual classes, but I realized I would benefit so much more from a yearly membership. Now I can find an answer to almost any weaving question I have by going to Kelly’s online weaving school. And the new class ideas sound wonderful!
Kathryn
I have really enjoyed learning how far one can go with a rigid heddle loom. I gave up my floor loom recently because of back issues and am loving being able to weave multi-shaft weaves again by using my rigid heddles. Thanks for the very well-taught classes.
Roseanne Rosenblum
Congratulations on 5 years.

Congratulations on five years!! I love EVERYTHING you teach. I’ve only been weaving about a year, but I’ve come a long way thanks to you. I’m strictly rigid heddle and probably always will be, so I appreciate all those classes. I do, however, watch your other videos on skills that are beyond my comprehension. I can’t imagine not being enrolled in your school. Please continue your good work and good luck in the future.
Liz Griswold
I always wanted to learn to weave and finally began the journey during COVID. I reviewed many weaving tutorials and found Kelly as the teacher for me. Weaving can produce some of the dames effects as meditation and as a social worker, in a hospital, primarily with very sick and dying patients during the pandemic, , I needed a meditative outlet.
Kelly thank you for helping me on this journey of weaving, gaining confidence and joy in this process.
Love this sight and your teaching
Judy Kile
Congratulations and Thank You on 5 years of presenting us with a wonderful weaving school. The classes are well thought out with step by step instructions. They have challenged me to expand my weaving skills to become a better weaver and give my family and friends gifts that I am proud to say I made. I am most grateful that different learning styles are covered in every class. Visual or audio learners can access your classes and be successful. I also love that the classes are always available, I can find and use any of them at any time. So Thank you Kelly for all your hard work to make this school an awesome experience!
Shannon Corum
I joined a little over a year ago to take the dish towel course. I love weaving but have mainly only done some Rigid Heddle. I purchased a floor loom off Craigslist but had no idea how to use it. When I saw all the wonderful classes offered at the Weaving School, I knew it would be money well spent. I love your enthusiasm for weaving. It makes me want to learn. Congratulations on 5 years!
Lynne Bell
I joined your weaving just over a year ago and as many other people have commented, I love how clear and concise your instructions are. I have been slowly working my way through your library of instruction, but I particularly love your “wash your hands towels”. I have made these as towels but also downsized them to make lovely face washers. Congrats on your five anniversary!
Ben L
I’ve loved the patterns you’ve offered and the videos detailing all the tips and tricks you’ve developed, you’re often my first stop when I have a question about weaving. I loved how detailed the classes are, with exactly what I needed to learn all the new techniques.
As an aside, have you seen Portuguese style knitting? It’s often recommended as a style that can help avoid the movements that can cause pain with the more popular techniques.
Kelly
I’ve seen a few different knitting styles that are meant to be easier on your hands, I just don’t feel like I have time to learn new techniques at this point when weaving takes so much of my time. I would love to do further research and try some different methods in the future though 😊

Kelly- I have learned so much from enrolling in your online weaving school. I love my rigid heddle loom and have recently purchased an inkle loom. I would never have been able to figure out how to use either of these looms without your wonderful teaching. I love the Diamond Stripe towel class and can’t wait to start on the Herringbone Scarf.
Judy Hansen
5 years! Congratulations! I’m a new weaver and am currently enjoying the Inkle loom weaving class. I have enjoyed so many of your videos too. You’re such a gem! I appreciate your teaching style and look forward to learning more!
Terri
Kelly – Congratulations on 5 years. What an accomplishment! I’m a newer weaver who is so grateful to have found your school. Prior to finding your content, weaving was a somewhat frustrating experience for me. Much of the other instruction out there has been difficult to follow as I’m recovering from a brain injury. Thank you for your detailed, and ever so kind approach to teaching. You are a huge inspiration and I look forward to seeing all of your new content as it arrives.
Carol Brown
I had both a rigid heddle and a floor loom. I didn’t know how to use either until I got your videos. I have now finished three projects, one of which I am quite proud. Thank you for all you do.
Felicity Gill
The online school has given me confidence to try new techniques like Leno lace and shown me it’s not as scary as you first think. Congratulations on 5 years.
Lisa Benson
When I discovered your online weaving school I was thrilled! I purchased a RHL last winter. I am a knitter but with issues with my hands it has become difficult. I have been having such a good time learning so many things from you. You are so calming to listen to. I feel like you are right there next to me when I watch a class. Thank you for all you do and congratulations on 5 years!!!
Karen D Cantwell
Congrats on 5 years! I have found your tutorials to be very clear and helpful!
Teresa
Congratulations on 5 wonderful years! I’ve have enjoyed many of your classes and learnt so much. The Heart scarf meant a lot to me and to be able to give someone some joy in such troubling times. I’m currently working on the diamond tea towels, hope to be finished soon! Thanks again 🙂
Diane Wild
Its my birthday month, too. Congratulations on your fifth.
Barbara Roberts
Living in a rural area weaving can be a very solitary craft. Your videos make you feel like you are more involved in a community of weavers.
Barb DeJarlais
Congratulations on 5 years!
Living in a more remote/rural area without a community of local weavers, your videos and classes are really appreciated. As a brand-new weaver with no experience in knitting yarns, you have saved me time and money just in yarn purchases. Thank you so much and hope you can continue in your creative endeavors.
Wendy Murphy
Congratulations on 5 years. I love love love your videos. They are so easy to follow and give me great confidence to try new skills. I am a relatively new weaver and would never have tried 2 heddles without your videos. I am excited about the new herringbone course. I have purchased it and some yarn from my local fibre store. Need to get my loom warped. Wendy
Dusti Gomery
I have only been weaving a short time and just joined your online school in April. Becoming a premium member has enabled me to explore new things in my weaving at my own pace. Your explanations are simple and easy to understand, even for beginners!
Pam Barre
The online weaving school has become my go-to place for project ideas and also to help me improve my weaving techniques. Kelly—- your video content has helped me to correct my mistakes and undesirable habits with weaving. I appreciate your straightforward approach, always clear and concise. Thank you for all you do and for your wealth of ideas and projects.
Virginia
You give me so much confidence to jump in and give it a try. So much to learn, but, taken step by step as you teach it, there are fewer struggles.to work through. Thank you.
Loretta
When the COVID pandemic started, I was so fortunate to find the Weaving School. It brought me peace and clarity at a time of fear and uncertainty. Weaving with your instruction, support and collaboration with the other weavers is fun! It has become a daily draw to see what’s next and to look forward to improving my skills everyday! Thank you!
Mary Ann Stoll
Congratulations! The weaving school is my go-to place for either inspiration or technical support. I love what you do!
Maegan schaefer
Due to personal financial circumstances I have only taken your free classes and actively watch and re watch the ones posted on YouTube. Where I live it’s a good 1 hour drive to get to a city so taking a in person class isn’t an option for me but you online content feel like you right there helping me to learn this amazing craft. Thank you so much for all the time you have put into helping others learn!
Deb
I want to congratulate you on your weaving school! Five years! The classes are very well done. Thanks!
Lis Kean
I love the weaving school. I love to watch the videos while I’m working on a project and I love the little tips and tricks that spill out of Kelly while she narrates what she’s doing. Couldn’t ask for a more patient and inspiring teacher!
Mariah W
Congratulations on a successful first 5 years for your business! I started weaving seriously this year and your classes have been so instructive and helpful in getting me acquainted with the fundamentals and beyond! The scarf I created in your overshot for the rigid heddle loom class is one of the most beautiful items I’ve ever created! Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. Heres to many more years to come!
Ann Frederick
Happy Anniversary Kelly! I’ve loved being a member of your school for the last few years. Your teaching style is so helpful to me and I love being able to rewatch the videos as much as I need to. As I’ve gotten older my short term memory is not as good as it used to be so being able to go back and rewatch has been so helpful. I think your prices are more than fair and I love being a part of the members groups so I can see what others are weaving and also read their questions and what they may be struggling with as well. It is such a fun, kind, supportive group and I am very thankful to be a part.
Lyadonna V
I am brand new to weaving (only just assembled my loom) and I’m so excited that these lessons are available as a resource! I have this site bookmarked so I never lose track of the amazing information!
Carolyn Adams
Congrations on 5 wonderful years of happy weaving, you have been an absolute inspiration to me and have helped me in more ways than you can imagine. I am a slow learner so I’m constantly checking the videos to be sure I’m doing everything correctly. You’ve made me feel comfortable doing pattern weaves and also to finally take the leap and learn how to use a warping board and warp my 4-harness table loom. That was exciting for me. I love your patterns and look forward to your new classes. Thank you for all you do for the weaving community.
Heidi Hutchinson
It had allowed me to figure out we how to weave, and look at other ideas knowing I can learn new techniques
Loraine Wilder
Happy 5 years! I first found you on You Tube and thought your way of explaining the basics was thorough and so easy to understand. I was so lost when I first started and through your videos, I managed to warp my first RHL and start a project, and I loved your explanation of the hemstitch, I still use your methods to this day!
So I joined the weaving school to have access to everything you teach, and I love being able to take my time through the lessons and learn everything step by step. Plus the projects and patterns are beautiful too! Your lessons have taught me so much about weaving and your recommendations for books, looms, yarns, etc., have been spot on! I am an annual auto-renew member and I look forward to more great project ideas to come! Thank you!
Jackie Himelick
Kelly, Your weaving school has been a great help to me as someone who has never had a loom before. Even though I have been lax working on my loom, I still love watching your videos and learning as much as I can. And, I would be very interested in your sewing and pattern class. I love sewing but I have no knowledge in making patterns. I am really looking forward to the future classes.
Gale Vaughan
Happy Birthday Weaving school. I am a novice weaver and the school has opened up a world of techniques for me. I have learned so much. The shop where I bought my loo is an hour’s drive. But, with a subscription to the school.is just steps away, Kelly explains things so clearly, I rarely have to rewind. Kelly has increased my confidence and skill level.
Cyndi Paola
Kelly,
Your classes have brought me so much peace and joy, I continue to learn everyday from you.
Your impact on lives cannot be measured.
It has brought me into a wonderful community of people through weaving.
I want to thank you for all your hard work you put into these classes, being so warm and genuine and reachable.
Here’s to another 5 years!
Cheers!
Cyndi
Raylene Keating
Kelly, I have truly enjoyed your online weaving classes for rigid heddle as well as the YouTube videos you share out on different topics. Congratulations on achieving 5 years with many more to come!!!
Linda Gregory
I just bought a floor loom after weaving on a rigid heddle loom for 8 months. I have been planning on taking out a membership for a few months now, so your giveaway is at a perfect time. I watch your you tube videos all the time gathering information to learn and master my skills in weaving. You bring a huge contribution to the art of weaving. Thank you.
Linn McDonald
Happy Birthday! My weaving school membership has been a great investment. There’s such a wide variety of classes to choose from; no matter where my weaving interests seem take me, there’s a class on that topic. I’ve learned so much!
Sally Paxton
I started weaving about five years ago when a friend asked me to attend a class with her – I’m still weaving – she’s not. I am now unable to sit and weave because of a nerve injury, so for a couple years i didn’t weave hardly at all, but because I do enjoy it so much I finally “jerry-rigged” a couple things to be able to warp and weave in a standing position. I enrolled in your weaving school and the weaving hasn’t stopped since then. I haven’t done all your classes, but the few I have done so far has given me a greater confidence to step out from just plain weave. My favorite so far is the Diamond Stripe Towels, but the log cabin I’m working on now may become the new favorite. Thank you for all you do to teach and inspire me to bigger and greater things.
Sheri Osburn
I am new to weaving and very excited to tackle this project! Thank you Kelly for your thorough explanations and complete videos.
Valeda
You have made a complex past time soooooo easy to understand and grow with. Thanks ever so much for your splendid school and willingness of heart to share the teaching.
Ann
Watching your videos made me buy my first loom (Sampleit 16”) and your beginners & pick up bundle. I am slowly working through those now. I love that you take so much time showing everything in detail which helps a lot if you don’t know any other weavers.
Thank you for all the time and effort used to create those classes. I wish you success for the years to come….
Barbara Fornoff
Kelly your weaving school classes have been my companion on my rigid heddle journey. I look to your straightforward and encouraging style to help me see that I can be successful in my weaving ! Congratulations on your 5th year of listening to your heart and your passion. Here’s to the next five creative years!
Theresa
Love the videos because I can go at my own pace and around my schedule. I like the lashing on technique you taught seems to save on waste to me. Thanks Kelly
Susan Simmons
Happy anniversary! I bought myself a rigid heddle loom as a retirement present to myself two years ago. I joined the Weaving School and Kelly has served as my teacher, my mentor and my inspiration for my weaving journey from day one. She has gently and professionally guided my work. I know I have avoided many, many beginner mistakes due to her step by step lessons. I am now confidently weaving with 2 heddles and pickup sticks. I look forward to the next 5 years of inspiration and skill building with Kelly!
Jeanette Kettlewell
Happy birthday to the weaving school! I decided to start weaving after realizing just how slowly I knit and that I have more yarn than I could ever hope to use. My hands can’t take knitting for long stretches, either. Several members of a Facebook knitting group I am in began knitting, so I thought that would be a good way to use up yarn and create beautiful things. I bought a 15″ Cricket RHL in February 2020, then a 32″ Kromski Harp Forte in May 2021. I’m the type of person who needs to completely understand a process before I begin. I joined a Facebook rigid heddle weaving group and found your videos. After watching enough, I finally started weaving in January 2022! To be able to make a scarf in 2 days was amazing – to knit one takes me months! I thought I would use up my stash, but ai seem to be buying more yarn. My husband passed away last February, and this new hobby has brought me joy and has kept me occupied outside of work. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and talent, or I would still have empty looms!
Juanita Smith
You have taught me from day one. Learning to weave was scary but your classes eased me in to it and now I am recommending you to my weaving friends. Congrats and happy birthday! God bless you and your family❤️
Mary Green
Congratulations on 5 years! I was a complete beginner when I found your online weaving school. I had been looking for an in person weaving school but they seem to be non existent in my part of the uk.
Finding your weaving school has helped me so much. Your videos are so easy to follow and have inspired me to try new things. Looking forward to the next 5 years.
Joan Morse
Happy Anniversary! Weaving has always fascinated me and I took every opportunity I found to play with a loom. But I never owned one until about 3 years ago. All of a sudden I was faced with warping a loom. It was your videos that I found the most useful. I have learned so much from your videos and posts, and classes I have taken from you. I look forward to continuing as I have the time. There is so much more to know and experiment with! I admit to being jealous of most people who can work with all the gorgeous wools that are available. So many of the people around me are allergic to wool that I can seldom use it in projects. This is why I an so happy to see a giveaway for cotton. It would certainly be put to very good use. Congratulations again on your success and may you have many more years of the same.
Rochelle
Happy birthday to your Weaving School! Weaving is my most recent crafting joy. I love trying new things and building new skills. Your videos helped me when I was just starting and inspired many of my projects. My kids now have heirloom woven blankets that are precious to them. Thanks for the wonderful content and community you have created.
Double Dee
Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary. You are a wonderful teacher and reaching this point was the result of hard work besides natural ability. You have made so many people happy. Thank you for what you give us all.
Janet Kraft
Congratulations on 5 years!! I’m a new weaver and have loved watching and learning from your videos! They make me more confident to keep weaving! I wish you many more years of teaching!
Barbara Apfel
Congratulations on this special birthday! My first video by you was “How to choose an RHL frame” and from there I signed up for the Weaving School. I have so enjoyed learning from you, boot camp was such a great introduction. Be proud, happy and pleased with your achievement, you have helped a lot of people.
Elmari
I am from Oudshoorn, South Africa. It feels like i’m alone in this area weaving or shall I say triyng to weave. I did subscribed a few times to learn and get confidence in my weaving. I must say that the speed, the explaining, the way you teach did help me a lot. But I need help every so often to stay positive. Because I have to pay in Australië $ from SA rand it makes it expensive for me. But I wil subscribe in May (winter in SA) and let you kniw how my progress is going!!!!
Carla
Congratulations on 5 years! Ive spent the last 2 unfortunately with many challenges not limited to but including loss of both parents. Weaving has become my covid sanity project. Who knew I’d love it so much! I actually taught myself from the weaving videos I’ve seen by you and love the thread collective where I purchase products. Between the both of your companies I’ve managed to keep my hope joy and sanity. So that. You both for that! I’d love to be considered for the draw. Best wishes
Elsa Flego
Happy happy Birthday Many many happy years to come! and THANK YOU for the wonderful weaving school!
Like others I met you Kelly at a time when my life was becoming a daily fight … that was Nov 2019 … Weaving had been a life-long dream so when I realized with the help of your videos that I could still make a dream come true I gathered all my energy and went ahead and did it! Sometimes angels appear unexpectedly and wingless by your side……
I love to work « with you » , I love the way you teach, I enjoy being « slow », and it’s lovely to feel others around you with similar experiences.
I am SO glad you mention a skirt and double-width weave on a multishaft loom! I was going to suggest that to you! My table loom is a 60cm and that would allow a confortably wide fabric for sewing. Gratefully looking forward!
And again THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!

Happy 5th anniversary! It is always exciting to se what you coming up with. It gives me renewed inspiration when other parts of life is overshadowing my weaving.
Glenda Simmonds
Hello Kelly, I guess I’ve been weaving for about 6 years now, fulfilling a dream I have always had. As a child I would weave paper, plait hair, weave ribbon, grass, anything!
When I started “real” weaving I also learnt to spin, and oh the joy of making my own yarn and then weaving it. My “loom family” has grown to 2 rigid heddles and 2 table looms , and a home made inkle loom.
My favourite yarn to weave with is cotton and Thread Collective has always provided great service.
Looking forward to all of your future classes.
Misse Jensen
I have watched all your videos on YouTube and you made me take the plunch at I bought a big contermarch loom, and I haven’t looked back since, and I wish I had the money to be a member, but maby one day…
And congratulation with 5years 😍
From Denmark misse
Brigitte Stelzhammer
Happy birthday! How it impacted my life? I had a RHL but did not feel confident enough to start. Through you and your school I felt encouraged to start. Now I see my towels at a friend’s place every time I visit her, which makes me very happy! Thank you
Jacky Radbone
Weaving came into my life at a time when my world was getting ever smaller.. Somehow just the act of doing it was the most calming thing to do with the rhythm of the shuttle going back and forth, and seeing the ever growing cloth made me feel connected to those weavers of centuries past as I realised what an ancient craft this is. It’s been such a blessing to me over the past few years, and so have your lessons Kelly. I first found you on you tube at the beginning of my weaving journey and I have learned so much with you, thank you. Because of my disability my brain doesn’t always ‘compute’ instructions very easily these days, but with your lessons you spell everything out in several ways so that even I can get what I am supposed to be doing, and it’s great that we can also always ask you questions if we need to. I love the Facebook group too, such a lovely community, and I love seeing everyone’s work as we continue learning together. Thank you so much Kelly, I look forward to learning so much more from you in the future. Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary 💐 (please exclude me from the giveaway as I live in the U.K.)
Judith Gilbert
I own 2 of your courses, altho I have yet to attempt the most recent, the Herringbone one. I have watched pretty much all of your free videos, some more than once, not because I need to, as you demonstrate so clearly, but because I enjoy listening and watching your calm, clear technique.
The difference you have made to my weaving is in my attitude. You take away the trepidation and uncertainty and my natural procrastination and make me feel that I’ll succeed with you by my side.
Thank you Kelly
Anne Brandly
Hi Kelly. I started with your weaving school some time ago to learn the basics, as I had an Ashford 24” rigid heddle loom which I had for years but realized there was much to learn about weaving. After learning the excellent basics from your school and i stopped. Then I rejoined recently as I wanted to go further with more than just the basics. I love to weave and your courses have taught me to get the most out of my loom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Lee-Ann Conway
I started weaving last year and your beginner lessons and many YouTube videos were so helpful. I’ve even started selling a few items to buy a better loom but haven’t decided which one yet. Unfortunately my first one was an uneducated purchase and although it has a rigid heddle it doesn’t have apron bars and only has up and neutral positions for the heddle so this made learning interesting. But I’m very pleased with my progress and love every moment of weaving even the difficult warping bits🤪
Lorraine M
Found you on YouTube and purchased one of your classes. Am a self taught weaver and am willing to learn from anyone. So glad I found you though.
Liz Buckeridge
Your weaving school has reminded me that I NEED to retire, as the new looms (yes plural) won’t weave themselves! Between this school and Nicky at the thread collective, you have opened up a whole new fibre art branch for me, and now I have a large stash of weaving threads too, in addition to all the other yarns. Thankyou so much! I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my floor loom, and have managed to make some teatowels on a rather ancient table loom and a rigid heddle loom. It is so fantastic, to go back to making cloth, in a world that seems to leaving me behind. Thankyou for (virtually) holding my hand through the learning, as I am still learning, and will continue to, until they shovel me into the hole – please don’t let them sell my looms for what I said I paid for them!!!
Anne Cabello
Kelly thank you for your tireless work and contributions to the world wide weaving community. Your online weaving school has changed my life. Your lessons have helped me to not only learn how to weave but also have bolstered my self esteem. I now take pride in my work. All thanks to you
Beth Krncevic
Happy 5th Birthday 🥳 May you celebrate many more.
I’m a spinner, a knitter, a crocheter, a sewist, an embroiderer, and an artist.
I’m gradually losing the use of the last 3 fingers on each hand so I was facing a non-crafting rest of my life, on top of unemployability and limited income.
Then I watched one of your YouTube videos and wondered if weaving is something I can do with only index fingers and thumbs, and on a limited budget.
I watched most of your videos. Your uncomplicated style of teaching, along with your humour, convinced me to beg family for a loom and give weaving a go. Yes! It can be done easily with limited dexterity, and on a budget.
My first project included every beginner mistake so I completed one of your classes, made brilliant placemats, and now I want to weave and weave some more. I want to do all your classes and weave all the things.
Karen Wolken
Your videos give me hope that i can learn weaving. Thank you for being so clear and upbeat in your instruction method.
MaryAnne
After retiring my doctor insisted I find something to keep me busy. My new life was not working out. I remembered my parents dragging me to all the old museums in New England and every time I saw a weaving loom something felt different. So I spent almost 6 months reading up on weaving and looms, finding bits and pieces here and there, discovered youtube and there you were with all the answers I had been looking for. The more I watched the more that feeling came back. You were just starting up your classes and we learned together. Look at us now! I’ve watched your video’s multiple times. I purchased a Kromski 24″ RH. Made a scarf, then 2, then 3, then dozens and donated them to Catie’s Closet for kids K-12 in Massachusetts schools. As you progressed I did too, a Louet Jane 27″ entered my life as well as a Schlact Inkle. I can’t stop. It’s impossible. I never would have guessed the journey would have taken me this far. Each warp leads to these incredible pieces that I made, me, I made them. It doesn’t matter whether it turns out perfect because I’m still on a journey with you leading the way – for so many people around the world.
Audrey Wolter
Kelly, your videos and classes have opened the wonderful world of weaving for me. Thank you so much.
Bonnie Boswell
Congratulations Kelly! I have been weaving on a rigid heddle for a few years but I’m entirely self taught from books and trial and error. When I found your videos on youtube I was amazed at how much I didn’t know. I signed up for your school with a gold membership. I love your teaching style by the way. 🙂 I have been pretty set on getting a table loom so I can learn that ( I love your Ashford!) but then realized that I should invest in a double heddle block and heddles instead and see where I can go with that. I can’t wait to see what I can do!
Dana Pehrson
I have been enrolled in the gold membership since early 2021. I ave learned so much from you, and although the cost of membership doesn’t fit within our budget, I feel like it is a sacrifice I am willing to make. Thank you, Kelly!
Kelly
Entry for Sandra Faulkner.
Kayla
Cheers to 5 years!! I have been living vicariously through your tutorials for a few years now, hoping to get my own loom soon!!
Vickie Litterell
Kelly, I first found you on YouTube and was so very glad I did! I was so intimidated with my loom and the process, but after watching you in several videos in the classes, I thought, “I can do that!” So thank you Kelley, you really helped expand my love for textiles. 🙂
Avi Santana
Kelly’s Online Weaving school is the reason I can now weave confidently on my new 24 inch RH loom! I started just 5 months ago with a small 15 inch single heddle doing plain weave. In my search online for more possibilities, I discovered Kelly’s blog, courses, and YouTube videos. Now I am making 3 and 4 shaft towels thanks to her instruction! Next up is scarves and playing with different fabrics, and this HAS changed my life. I have a healthy obsession with yarns, fabrics, textiles and all the possibilities of creating for myself and for others. It’s fun, challenging, calming, and therapeutic.
Rick Martin
I have enjoyed learning from you! Your newsletters, YouTube videos, etc., are all very easy to follow and super exciting to see them when they arrive!
Deb
Hi Kelly!
What a fun story of your journey!
I started weaving during the pandemic, but as I have mentioned, I have had a rigid heddle loom for over 40 years and just started using it, as 40years ago there was no Youtube! After learning from you, I was hooked, and THAT led to wanting a larger loom, which I got shortly after I started your courses. Now I am waiting delivery of my 43.5″ David III floor loom. Weaving has taken over my life, and I love it. I’m so glad I held on to my little Schacht 20″ RHL. You are a fantastic teacher, and a very generous person with your time in answering questions and helping us!
Thank you!
Eve Hoffenkamp
Kelly another year down! Congrats! It has been wonderful to watch your class’s as you have a very concise, focused style. You cover everything that needs to be included in each lesson. You have impacted my weaving life by opening up the rigid heddle to do more than just basic plain weave. I do not have room for anything larger in my home so to learn some of the more advanced things like double heddle work and pick up and of course to try my hand at double weaving. You are needed and appreciated! Keep up the good work.
Tami Leslie
Congratulations on 5 years! My husband let me purchase a one year membership last May as a Mother’s Day gift. He knew I was excited to try out my new rigid heddle loom. Watching Kelly’s videos is a pleasure. They give me hope and confidence that I can successfully complete many of the projects offered. Unfortunately I have found that I don’t have or take time for myself to weave. My husband has been a quadriplegic for 40 years. For the 35 years we have been married I have cared for him and that takes time. My sweet love who encouraged me and took great pleasure in the few things that I have made on my loom, went on to be with Jesus this past week. He’s no longer paralyzed and I know he will be watching down on me cheering me on to now spend time on myself doing something that gives me pleasure. I’m letting my membership renew for another year and hope to get busy warping my loom and making beautiful things with Kelly’s help.
Kelly
Oh Tami, I didn’t know that your husband had passed away, I’m so sorry to hear that. What a blessing you have been to him. I’ll be praying for you in this time of grief 🙏
Jacky Radbone
Tami, may I add my prayers to Kelly’s , praying the Lord will comfort and strengthen you through these difficult days, and bless you through your weaving x
Jessica Jamison-Wells
I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels right now. I lost me husband unexpectedly in January and he was my most wonderful admirer of my work providing so much encouragement and feedback in my endeavors. I feel like I’m just now coming out of a daze. I’ll send some positive energy your way. I’m so sorry.
Gilaine Vanwezel
Dear Tami, a lot of respect for you having taken care of your husband. I have seen so many families in the same situation the last 13 months during my husbands revalidatie after 7 weeks of coma. Tonight my candle light will be for you ! 🌷
Gilaine Vanwezel
Dear Kelly, I enjoyed hearing the story behind the 5 years of the weaving school. You should be so proud ! So many people feeling happy with your weaving lessons. Please exclude me from the competition as I live in Europe. Good luck. 🎂
Allison Herndon
So many classes, so many options. I particularly appreciate that there are plenty of classes for rigid heddle weavers. Thanks for the chance.
Brigitte Koehler
I started weaving about three and a half years ago and had no clue what I was doing. Then I found Kelly’s classes and just about inhaled almost everything Kelly was teaching. She has such a natural and calm approach to teaching. It is easy to understand and follow her instructions without any problems. I have an Inkle loom and two rigid heddle looms and I have not even begun to use them to their fullest potential (mostly because health issues interfere with it at times). However, I am still excited to start new projects and learn new techniques. The bottom line is that without Kelly’s classes I would never have come this far. My new project is to just weave fabric so I can make my clothing. I am so excited!!!

I had reached the extent of what I could do with my rigid heddle looms until I took your classes. I’m getting ready to start your herringbone class in between keeping my newest grandson. It’s amazing who you can reach all over the world.

Congratulations Kelly- what an amazing achievement, which benefits so many people all over the world. It has taken me many years to accept retirement (I first left the teaching profession in 2008) but I always felt that days at leisure were pointless and unrewarding. THEN I discovered Kelly, online during a random search and my spare time became productive, joyful and has given me a new lease on life. Thank you Kelly for continuing to feed my new passion- so much to learn and so little time.

Wendy, I had no idea you were a retired educator. I am too. I retired in 2017 and took up weaving at the same time. I taught for 30 years LA and SS at the middle and high school level. That must be why we relate. Lol love you. Jess

Kelly’s online weaving school has been a Godsend for me. Not only have I learnt heaps but it has filled the void in my social engagement with others. Locked away like many during the pandemic Not being able to get to craft classes and support groups I’ve found a solace in learning and weaving and thoroughly enjoyed the virtual connection with Kelly and fellow learners who have likewise been motivated to push boundaries and try new things. Kelly is an inspiration but more than that the passion she has is infectious.

I want to thank you for all the knowledge that you share with us. I purchased my first rigid heddle loom this summer. Your YouTube videos have been invaluable! Warping has been a pleasure thanks to your instructions. I am looking forward to taking classes once we have our garden completed. You’re a great instructor and so very professional. Thank you again!

I love Kelly’s weaving site. Have made many of her patterns and she has answered many of my questions I had on different projects. Happy 5th Birthday!

My husband bought me a 32in Kromski rigid heddle and stand. I made one thing and put it up for several years. Indirect warping was not my thing your videos led me to your school which showed me direct warping!
You opened a whole new world to me. The funny thing is I have a warping mill now for my floor and table loom.

The online weaving school has given me the confidence to weave new things. I struggled to start weaving. My looms went untouched because, “I wasn’t good at it.” I no longer feel that way and know there are resources to help whenever needed.

I have always been attracted to handwoven items and purchased items when I could. I didn’t think I had the time or talents to become a weaver and since I live in a rural area, I didn’t have access to a teacher. Then the pandemic happened and suddenly I had the time. Providence provided you, my teacher, and I am pleased to say that with your support, I am loving weaving my own items and finding that I can develop the talent.

I started weaving in late 2018 with the aid of a local weaving club. I never even considered online instruction because I had hands-on help. Then, COVID! Everything shut down 2 weeks after I purchased my rigid heddle. I had learned on a floor loom so I was floundering. Enter..Kelly Casanova. Your videos saved my life! Not just your weaving videos, but the adorable films of your beautiful daughter playing piano. It was a warm respite from the trauma the whole world was going through. Thank you, Kelly, for brightening my world!

I found your channel one day searching “cotton” and “weaving” and I’ve never been the same! Little did I know that kitchen tea towels could be elevated to an art form, that there more cotton/yarns varieties than I could ever begin to learn, and that this would become not just a hobby but a passion. Kelly, thank you for your patience, your enthusiasm, creativity and your grace!

I’m just starting to weave, after knitting for several years and your instruction I wonderful. No local teachers around here are teaching rigid heddle weaving right now, so I am so happy to have found your instruction
Stephanie
I look at the projects and think of all the cool things I can learn to make.

Your online weaving classes are superb! As a beginner weaver I began weaving with two heddles immediately and making my own patterns! Now I just need some GOOD yarns to weave with!

Weaving has enabled me to share my husband’s hobby and has brought us a common interest and strengthened our marriage. We now speak the same language and I understand when he refers to sheds, warps, overshot as we share our weaving woes and joys. Yay!

Having knitted for over 50 years, it was time to learn something new! I consider myself a lifelong learner, having earned my Ed.D. at the age of 50. And yet, I felt there was little left for me to learn in my hobby of knitting. So, towards the beginning of the pandemic I sought out someone who could teach me to weave. Traveling an hour to the nearest weaving teacher gave me the basics. I left with a loom, yarn, shuttles, etc. and then turned to the internet to teach me the rest. Thankfully, I found Kelly’s weaving school and the rest is history. I’ve been weaving for almost two years and I am thoroughly addicted. Thank you, Kelly!!

Kelly…your Weaving School is my Go-To when I have weaving questions. I just started weaving last July, and your classes have been invaluable, giving me confidence to try new techniques. Thank you so much for your easy-to-understand videos and your willingness to answer questions. Congratulations on your Anniversary!
Jennifer
I haven’t purchased a class yet, but i have every intention on signing up for a class later this year after a few personal things settle down! I also get Kelly’s emails and have watched almost every single YouTube channel! I can’t wait to get back to weaving and learning more!

Your online school is the first place I go to improve my skills and learn new things. Your teaching style is so calm and easy to follow I have loved all the classes I’ve taken so far. Your videos are what taught me to weave and got me excited to buy my first loom. I will forever be a student of your school!

The online weaving school and Kelli have calmed me with ease of beginning weaving!I found Kelli on YouTube when I was researching how to weave handbags. I was intimidated to start weaving but I emailed Kelli about her classes, and she was quite reassuring about weaving. and flexible about her classes. I have confidence about trying new techniques such as pick up sticks. Congratulations on your five years!
