It’s hard to believe that 3 years have passed since I began my Online Weaving School. Many of you have been with me for all of that time and longer, but if you’re new here, I’d like to tell you a little about my teaching journey.

I’ve always been a creative person but making things with my hands became more important to me when I found myself an at home Mum with 4 children. The urge to relax and create became very strong and somewhat vital. I needed that quiet, meditative time away from my regular daily duties.
I started with embroidery after my mother in law gifted me with some vintage supplies. Then I got a sewing machine and started sewing clothes for my kids. From there I started making dolls. This began my relationship with Etsy, where I sold my dolls. Then bear making, quilting, knitting, spinning, dyeing and weaving. Many of these were learned books, some from just teaching myself and some (especially knitting) from Youtube. Youtube was just becoming a thing at that time. When I came to weaving, I found it the perfect culmination of so many of the arts and skills I had already been practicing for years. When I found weaving, I felt like I had come home.
After I had been weaving for some time and felt very confident at my rigid heddle loom, I felt that I really wanted to share some of the wonderful things I had learned. I was almost bursting with excitement and passion but I didn’t know any other weavers at all.
So I made a video and uploaded it to Youtube. I didn’t know anything about how to teach or how to use Youtube. My son helped me to film and edit to make the video passable. I expected nothing, I didn’t even think about whether anyone would be interested. I just thought it might help someone and I wanted to share.
As it turns out, that video is still helping weavers, 5 years later! People loved the video and asked for more. I made more. And I loved it. It was so rewarding to know that I could help others and share this passion for weaving.
After a while, my Youtube hobby was starting to cost a lot of money in materials and the meagre income from Youtube ads didn’t even begin to cover the expense. I was a stay at home Mum, homeschooling her children and relying on my husband to earn enough income to keep us fed and clothed.
So, using a Youtube paid channel, I started to (gasp! how could I even dare to!) charge for classes. This was a big mind shift for me. People wanted to pay me in exchange for classes!! I still ran my free channel, but the paid channel was a huge blessing. Now at least I could cover my expenses, even if I still wasn’t really earning anything extra. When the Youtube paid channels ceased to exist, I had a fairly sizeable following of enthusiastic weavers. And they still wanted more! So, I found Teachable and set up my tiny Online Weaving School and community.
3 years later, that “tiny” weaving school has grown to over 4000 registered users and 750 paid memberships and is still growing! I am still pinching myself. Thanks to the constant support from my wonderful and loyal students, I now provide the income for my family of 6. This is something I never would have dreamed could happen and I have learned so much. I would go so far as to say that having my weaving school has transformed me as a person – or perhaps better to say, it has formed me into the person I was meant to be.
Aside from all of the obvious benefits the success of the school has brought me are the less obvious blessings. The beautiful friendships and relationships I’ve encountered with weavers all over the world. The ability to help others not just to learn to weave, but to share other difficult life burdens. It is amazing to be in a position where you feel you can truly make a difference to the lives of others!
If you already know or follow me, then you will be aware of my recent free project, The Wash Your Hands Towels. I designed these towels in the time of uncertainty while the world was suffering from the effects (and still is) of the coronavirus pandemic. This has been a hugely popular project and seemed to come at just the right time for many weavers at home under lockdown. I’ve seen lots of different versions completed in a big variety of colours, it’s been wonderful to see.
So, I thought a very appropriate way to celebrate this 3 year milestone would be to give away a Wash Your Hands Towels Kit. This kit will be a one off, as I don’t have plans to make kits available for sale.
Included in the kit is all the beautiful Australian cotton yarn you need to make two towels plus a paper printed PDF. You use the PDF in conjunction with the video tutorial. If you wish to know what you need to complete this rigid heddle project, read this post that has all the details.
This giveaway is open to all, wherever you happen to be in the world. Entries are open until the end of this month of May 2020.
To enter the giveaway, please leave me a comment here (only comments on this blog post will be considered entries) and tell me why you would like to win.
Make sure you are on my email list to keep up to date with the giveaway and for the winner announcement.
I look forward to reading all your comments and drawing a winner!
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER – VEENA RAGHAVEN!
Until next time…
Happy Weaving!

I just met you! And am excited to explore weaving with you. I love the meditative quality of weaving and seeing all the incredible designs appear on others’ and my loom. I enjoy doing lots of fiber crafts, from knitting to sewing and weaving. I’d love to win your giveaway towel kit just in time for a very big birthday coming up and the colors are so perfect for America’s Independence Day, July 4th. I look forward to getting to know you better and learning a lot.
Thanks,
Valerie Clark
I have found weaving to be therapeutic. Still learning and look forward to joining some of your classes.
Patti
Congratulations on your anniversary! I am so excited to get started on my weaving journey! As soon as my loom arrives I will be signup for your classes!
Mariana
I would very much like to win because weaving is a whole new adventure for me, and I am excited about it, and would really enjoy using products you like to try my hands at your towels!
Gina Geaudry
Congratulations on your anniversary! I have one project under my belt and you helped me warp and keep my selvedges need after I watched some of your YouTube videos. I would like to win this towel kit so I can experiment with a different yarn, and have even more guidance for my next project. Thanks!
Leslie
After years of quilting, crocheting, and punch needle embroidery, I have recently taken up weaving. This new endeavor is at a most basic beginner level. Your tutorials have been tremendously helpful and I am blessed by your blog, your story and the obvious bond you have with your fellow weavers. My reason for entering the giveaway is to build my supplies and experience. I’m confident that whoever wins this giveaway will be very grateful. Thank you for being so generous and encouraging!
Cheryl Sheehan
I have been weaving less than a year and have used your videos to help me so much! I would love to win this giveaway so I can try the beautiful yarn you use. I just enjoy you so much and happy anniversary!
Catherine
Hi Kelly,
I work full time, therefore, my “me” time is limited. I subscribed to your you tube channel about seven years ago, fell in love with the weaving tutorials, purchased a Samplet loom and started weaving. About a year later I decided I would like to try a floor loom and purchased a used one. I’m still learning on the floor loom when “me” time allows but I do love the rigid heddle mobility and ease of setup. They are great for the smaller projects and to test pattern theories (yes, I’m one of those). I look forward to your newsletters they are awe inspiring and comforting. Take care and stay safe :).

I’ve been weaving for a year and so far have been made only scarves I have my first ever wash your hand towels on the loom. One is done and #2 is half finished. I’m using Kelly’s pattern. I’m using Sugar n Cream and am skeptical about how they are going to look. I’m still confused about cottons and yarns. I only use Red Heart , Caron etc., nothing expensive. All I know about weaving I got from your videos. I would love to win your kit and know I’m weaving something with the correct yarn
Laura Hill
I love learning new patterns to weave!
Jacquie Joes
Thank you Kelly. I have found your postings are a wealth of informative and as well as encouraging. I am anxiously waiting to put them them to practice. I have quilted, crocheted and knitted most of my life but at the age of 71 I am very excited to attempt the art of weaving. My loom and yarn will be delivered soon and I am on pins and needles waiting to get started. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hi Kelly,
I’ve been following you for over a year now. I started out with an Ashford 32″ rigid heddle loom after watching you ‘Wish List” video, and have fallen in love with weaving. When the ‘Wash your Hands’ video came out, I got bitten by the bug to go and weave up a few hand towels.
Well, the past week I went to an estate pre-sale and purchased a 36″ 4 shaft and 4 treadle (direct tie) Harrisville Designs floor loom. It was purchased new in May of 1977. It had only been used Once for a college course and then placed in the attic. I am currently cleaning and oiling the wooden parts and sanding the metal to remove the small amount of rust, and replacing the harnesses and lams, because o dry rot. My point is I have never woven on a floor loom, but I have watched you with yours. I love you teaching style and you were the first person I went looking to for instruction. Once I have the loom up and running I plan on purchasing the online classes you have. I am wondering if you are planning on making any more floor loom videos in the future?
Thank you so much for sharing you do to encourage others to love weaving as much as do.

Hi Kelly! Congratulations on 3 years. I have referred many rigid heddlers from the Rochester Weaving and Fiber Arts Guild to your site and youtube channel. You are great and easy to follow.
I would love to win the ‘Wash Your Hands’ Towel Kit. In 3 years of weaving I have only once kept something for myself. The rest I give away. These I would keep and cherish. I am schooling my grandson’s during Covid shutdown as both their parents are working from home. The boys would love to have new towels to use at Grandma’s house I am sure. And they so enjoy watching the weaving process and helping when possible.
Thanks for all you do.
Ritu
Congratulations on your 3 rd Anniversary.
Would love to make hand towels.
Excited to win and try them
I am already a subscriber to your classes
Recently did the flower band on lnklette loom
and presently on double heddle project from your lessons
Patti
Hi Kelly
Congratulations on your 3 year milestone! I’ve had my rigid heddle loom for a couple of years, but didn’t do much with it until I found your You Tube videos. Now that your school is up and running, I loved your beginner class, I hope to do more. I’ve started your “wash your hands “ towels, and I am having so much fun weaving them. Thanks again.
MaryAnn Boyle
Kelly
I have followed all of your YouTube videos . I am a fairly new weaver (6 months in) and you have helped me improve my skills.
Thank you !

Congratulations on all your hard work. It is very much appreciated. You are a wonderful teacher (and weaver). Thanks for sharing. I love my rigid heddle loom and have to admit, I did not nearly explore it and all that it can do before I jumped into a floor loom. I am loving my floor loom but told my rigid heddle loom that it would not be lonely. It’s fun having projects going on both. The colors in this dish towels are perfect for the color theme in my kitchen and I’ve never done kitchen towels on my rigid heddle loom. Would love to give it a try. Also, I am anxious to learn about and try different yarns. Thanks again for the opportunity to win and all that you do to help feed our creative passions.
Shirley Giampoala
Great full to have found you
I started to learn weaving at LYS and then we moved, there is no LYS and I thought about selling my loom. I found you and now have two more looms ! So thank you for being there.
Happy Anniversary
Patty Fuller
Congrats to you! Reason for winning, being creative and not wasting this most unusual time. Being a newbie simple projects can be quite beautiful. I love utility and combining weaving and handmade for me is a match made in heaven. Thank you for sharing your world.
Anne Wales
Thank you for those wonderful tutorials on you tube. I’m fairly new to weaving but having seen your tea towel video I managed to adapt it to make some chair backs. I’ve only used a one coloured warp so far but will venture into more colours soon. Take care and stay safe.
Sandra Faulkner
I am very excited to follow my new weaving journey with you! I like your approach to communication as you keep all weaver levels in mind and your easy to listen too. I am so happy your business has flourished so well for you are your family! A well deserved reward! Thank you and stay well.
Beverly
Your videos are great ! Congratulations on your anniversary.
Tess Gleason
So glad weaving folk told me about your classes and videos. Once I get a handle on edges, warping, and picking the colours, I’ll dig in to your classes.
For now, congrats on your anniversary and all your accomplishments.

Hello Kelly! I would absolutely love to win your “Wash your hands towels kit” because you have taught me almost everything I know about weaving through your YouTube Channel. My weaving journey began once a couple years ago when I had the opportunity to use a huge vintage rigid heddle loom for one day in Vermont to make fabric to donate to a local shelter to help those during the cold months. Since then I have always loved the idea of making my own fabrics but was clueless where to begin (being 28 years old in Northern Virginia- I have not met many weavers) and I acquired my first rigid heddle loom this past December. I almost gave up with right after assembly of my loom with feeling overwhelmed and clueless with what seemed like a foreign language of terminology. I rented books from my local library and thought I was understanding but I had so many questions that books could not answer. So one day I went to a local mom and pop yarn store nearby for any advice and she wrote your name down on a sticky note and told me to check out your YouTube channel. You changed my whole mindset of weaving and truly inspired me to not give up with your teaching, amazing explanations, and personal stories you share. My first project ever completed was your Log Cabin Table Runner PDF/Video instructions (which I was so nervous as my first project) and it came out absolutely perfect all thanks to you! You have given me a great hobby to relieve stress after a busy workday (in the medical field) and I truly appreciate everything you have shared.
Thank you again for your generosity to the weaving community and I would really love to have the “Wash your hands towels kit” as my next weaving project!
Fiona
Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life! Congratulations Kelly on your success creating a business that supports you and your family.
I’m a newbie weaver and so I’m grateful for your tutorials and emails
Loretta Ziolkowski
Happy anniversary! May your business continue to grow and prosper! Finding you as an instructor has been one of the most fabulous gifts one could find. Every time I see an email about a project, recipe, videos, etc., I am amazed. Do you ever sleep???
The projects are incredible, recipes wholesome goodness, raising a family inspiring, your journey to learn and instruct others motivating. The list goes goes on and on. When I saw this anniversary raffle, it is just another example of your generosity to others. Winning the kit would be a gift of remembrance to the COVID-19 and your inspiration. You provided the healthy distraction I needed from the on going panic in New York State. I have learned so many wonderful things from you; patience, creativity, perseverance. It made this period of time such a positive, growth experience. What a beautiful sediment to recreate the towels with yarn from your county. Even if I do not win, the value and appreciation of you will continue. May you and your family remain safe and healthy.
Sue Murdock
Wow 3 years, how great is that. Love the Wash your hand towels, just getting back to weaving and they look like they would be fun.
Mellanie
Wow! These look amazing! I have only just recently started weaving and teatowels are on my to-do list. You can only make so many scarves/wraps in a plain weave!! I purchased a couple of patterns and am very keen to try them out.
tammy dawson
I would love to win! I enjoy weaving but have been bogged down with my college courses, raising my family and starting a new career! I have just restarted getting back into my projects, and I would love to start off my weaving with these beautiful towels!
Carolyn Barker
I would love to get your wash your hands towel kit, I have not had time to do very much weaving, but I do love it. I used to use an inkle loom all the time to make bands and sashes for friends. And some time sell them. I am much older now 72, and have been a cancer survivor for 19 years. The last 7 years I have been stage 4 with bone cancer, but thankful to a faithful Father that I am still going strong and the oral chemo has worked well for me. Every day is a new and glorious one. I would like to make some things to put in a chest for my sons and their wives that could be a special unexpected surprise. Love your videos, you are a joy to watch. Maybe someday I will get everything just perfect like you do. Thank you for your sharing!
Robin Cadmus
I am a relatively new weaver. Like you, I enjoy may fiber hobbies. Somewhere along the journey, I happened across your YouTube channel. You are so generous with your time and talents to all. Your teaching style makes it so much more understandable.
I would like to win because then I will be weaving something that you are weaving. In other words, I will be part of the in crowd. Someday I will be able to join in with the others in your courses.
Thank you for sharing with us all,
Robin
Judy Salmans
I would love to win. I have been wanting to try and weave towels than you
Bethanne O'Neil
Hi Kelly! Greetings from Canada! Western Canada actually, province of Alberta.
I have recently become a weaver and you have become one of my teachers, albeit online and amongst others. I learned how to neaten up my edges when I first started with your video….And now I have the ‘basics’ of weaving and would like spread my creative my wings. Your designed towels might just be the ticket to get into tea towels, and the impetus to move forward with my weaving.
I think you are a wonderful teacher…and even if I don’t win this, I’ll still be around, checking in on your designs and videos!
Suzanne I Langlois
Happy Anniversary, Kelli and congratulations on accomplishing your weaving success in spite of nurturing your family, home schooling, and running a household!
I picked up my first shuttle at the tender age of ten ~ fifty-eight years ago! I’ve had 5 children, homeschooled 3 of them, ran a home based knitting business, was a Brownie Scout Troop leader, a weekly newspaper columnist, avid gardener and landscaper…But! I did not have the courage or stamina to do what you have done: learn how to navigate the Web and teach weaving to so many students, thus keeping this ancient art alive for generations to come.
Rest assured, your hard work and constant efforts are greatly appreciated.
CONGRATULATIONS, TEACHER!
Katherine Harris
I am new to weaving, have done a couple of beginning projects. I would like to expand my knowledge and skills…I love the feel of woven scarves. I would very much like to make towels for gifts, I think this would be a good way to start. I have listened to a couple of your YouTube videos but need to take some of your lessons soon. Thank you.
Mary Ann Stoll
Happy anniversary! I love your story! T would like to win the Wadh Your Hands Towel Kit because it’s a “Real Weaving” kit. I’ve used lots of stash yarn and purchased cotton from my LYS. But cotton made for weaving….I dream about getting ahold of some and trying it.
Irene Baumgartner
Congratulations on your anniversary. I found you on you tube & was so happy to have someone who can teach and make it simple. You go slow enough for us slow learners. Your quick replies to questions is really great. You inspire me to continue with the rigid heddle loom along with my tapestry loom. Watching the videos in the school make me want to try everything.
I would love to win so I can have more yarn to play with.
Liene
Hi Kelly,
Congratulations on your anniversary! You are doing a very important job!
My way with weaving started at kids art school, more than 15 years ago – at that time I tried weaving on a frame. I had really enjoyed it, but could not really afford a whole loom or so.
Only about two weeks ago my friend showed me rigid heddle loom, so I rushed to get it, since this is a wonderful and rather affordable tool.
For these two weeks I’ve been researching a lot and weaving a lot and just as everyone else has been saying, your videos are an immense help for new weavers (and I’m sure also for experienced weavers), I really love those!
I really love weaving things that I can use, so towels are on my to do list!
Recently I have moved to a new country, so I have to start my crafts stash all new, which can be quite expensive. Also I’m waiting for my employment permit, so for the next 6 months or so I will have to stay at home and doing crafts is the best way to feel useful and active.
I love seeing the community of weavers that you have gathered, it kind of inspires me, maybe some day I could have such a nice community of my own.
Keep up the wonderful job!
All the best,
Liene

Hi Kelly,
I’m a new weaver, I’d love to win the wash your hands towels and have it be my first towel project. I’ve watched loads of your video’s and signed up for you class on weaving with two heddles…nothing like jumping in with both feet! I don’t even remember how i found you in the first place but i sure enjoy all your youtube video’s, even the one about baking bread and i hate to cook! Ha Ha… Good luck to us all, and thanks for doing this, you’re the best!
teddi Fine
Hello, Kelly, from halfway around the world, right next to Washington DC, USA. I found you soon after I found weaving, a year ago. One day-long class hooked me, but YOU have been teaching me. My seal edges are improving and my joy about weaving is spiraling upward. Your “can do” attitude and encouragement in your videos have been so motivating. I hope to,get to join the “Kelly club” later this year!!
Keep me going! By keeping going yourself! You are a natural teacher!!
Iris Lamb
Hello Kelly! I am a brand new weaver, and so far, everything I know I have learned from your videos. I’m a single mom of three, a full-time graduate student, a research assistant and a transcriptionist, so as you can imagine, free time is in short supply, especially in this time of homeschooling and social distancing. The free time I do have , I spend with my 32” Ashford rigid heddle loom, and it is exactly the relaxing, zen-like activity I need to unwind. I love it! I’d like to win the towel giveaway because money is tight and the Australian cotton looks so beautiful 😍. Thank you for all you’re doing, it is much appreciated!
Andrea Gross
Why would I like to win. Several reasons. I’m still new to RH weaving and a kit just makes things easier. Your designs are great, some of the best I have seen. I love to support entrepreneurs, especially somebody who like me stays at home and homeschools (ok my last graduated and went to college 4 years ago). And finally because contests are fun!
Thanks
Andrea
Teresa
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! Right now I only weave plain tea towels but would love to learn something new. It would also be interesting to try out your cotton. Thank you for posting “Wash your Hands! Towels”.
Marie
As a stay-at-home, self-employed grantwriter who has made millions for wonderful charities over the past 40 years, I managed to make enough to buy a small house! I am inspired by hearing your own journey to self-sufficiency and finding your niche. If all goes well, I plan to “retire” at the end of the year, but hope to maintain a small income stream to supplement my social security (and keep my mind busy). I have a set of your towels on the loom now, and would love to feature your “Washing Your Hands Towel” kit on my display table at crafts fairs and the Sheep and Wool Festival here in New York. You are an inspiration and I would be proud to share your resources with even more new weavers!
Kathryn Jacoby
Congratulations on your 3-year anniversary! I love your videos because of their ease of following and the time you take to go through each step. I’m a very practical weaver and love to weave items for my home or homes of friends/family. This giveaway kit is perfect for kitchen towels and would brighten any home.
Debbie Alex
Congratulations on your anniversary! I love your videos and you have helped me immensely with my rigid heddle weaving adventure. I love your towel instructions.
Diane Bostick
I would love to win the giveaway,, I have already made your towels and put a picture of them online and was so pleased to have a comment from you. My yarn was rather subdued and made them look quite different from your illustration but I have already had several people ask for them so I will be making them again and think it would be such fun to use the colors you chose. I have taken your table loom course and I think you are a fantastic teacher.
Mary Jo
Hi Kelly. I just read the rules and my orevious comment and realized I didn’t say WHY I’d like to win. Lots of reasons, really
I’m a kid at heart and love contests
I have this mental block around setting up my new to me 4 shaft loom and need a push
I have done 2 plain weave scarves and am working on my third
Your kit would introduce me to using colour, and different techniques with my RHL in a budget friendly manner😀.
We’ve just moved provinces and are waiting for the other house to sell before i can splash out on
more fibre projects
Take care. Thanks for the opportunity
Caroline Neikirk
Hi Kelly,
Thank you for this opportunity to win some of your lovely Australian yarn! And congratulations on your third year anniversary!
I am thankful to have found your “you tube” videos and online weaving school with all your tips and tricks on learning how to weave on my own. I am in the midst of making my first set of hand towels but would welcome the opportunity to make more towels in the yarn you are giving away as gifts. My first set will be a hostess gift for my sister as I’m planning a trip home to visit my Mom, sisters and nieces with my daughter–a kind of “girl” family reunion–it’s time and quarantine is lifted!!
I find weaving on the RHL very rewarding and relaxing and love the immediate gratification it provides! I’m always amazed how weaving yarns together can make such a beautiful piece. I’m happy to be able to support your effort and look forward to more of your lovely, fun ideas of things to make.
Thankful!
Sabine
Congratulations! I love your videos and work those lovely towels
with success for me an my mom.
Thank you so much!
Tracy
I am so glad I found you and have learned so much. I absolutely love your blog, videos, classes, projects and emails. I’ve made four of the towels and number 5 and 6 are on the RHL now. My favorite one is the pickup pattern that I’ve used varigated for the warp in a bright color way and black as the weft which makes the colors pop. I haven’t posted photos on the Facebook group yet, but I will soon. Congratulations on your three year anniversary! I look forward to many more years of weaving with you.
Pamela Barre
I I have followed you and your videos for the past 3 years. Your teaching approach is just right– slow enough and explaining along the way. I recently signed up for a gold membership and completed the Woe to Go placemats. I am interested in this giveaway kit because I would love to try Australian cotton in my weaving. I’m not sure where I would find it otherwise. This crazy world virus situation has perhaps done at least one good thing–brought more interest in RH weaving to the craft. I wish you continued success and know that I look forward to your messages, posts, and videos. With great appreciation for you and your talents….
Monica Cataldo
Kelly – Congratulations on three years! Your lessons make difficult concepts clear, and I love hearing about your family and life outside of weaving.
Jenell
I found you because when I just started, your name kept popping up when I had a question or resource.
Joan
Weaving has become my bits of time for myself-I know you get this! I am entering because anything and everything that brings hope and a smile is worth it! Thank you!Q
Theresa Schaper
I am new to weaving. About 11 years ago, I visited my daughter and we went to the Taos Wool Festival with a group of her friends. I was so intrigued by the spinning and weaving demonstrations I saw. I bought a book about weaving and resolved that when I retired and had the time that I would try my hand at weaving. Well, I have been retired a number of years now and the time seemed right this past winter. Luckily I bought a loom before the pandemic started and have been learning to weave by reading books and especially watching Kelly Casanova’s you tube videos. They say that to keep your mind working the way it should, you should try to learn a new skill and although at times I have been so confused, I have also had the satisfaction of an “ah hah” moment when it all made sense. Thank you Kelly, for making your videos available and free to people. Thank you for helping to introduce me to a wonderful new hobby! I would love to win your towel kit.
Theresa
Theresa here again! Just saw that a requirement of the contest was to say why you would like to win. Well, I feel very challenged picking out the right kind of yarn and colors that will go together. Obviously, I’m on the lower end of the learning curve! If I win your kit, it will help me move to the next step in my learning process by serving as a guide…and also I love the colors and the patterns!!
Tanya
Hi Kelly,
Lovely to see your post and contest. I would love to win because I need a little bit of a boost as a new weaver. Something to get into that is practical and beautiful. If I have a real everyday use for the items that I make, I find it so much more satisfying. I have my loom, but this would be the first “useful” project for me, and would love to win. I am also a creative business person, so I understand how satisfying it is to work with my hands, and have a quiet creative outlet. All the best…
Michelle Sciberras
Hello Kelly,
I stumbled upon this art having getting swept away with macrame and weaving. I am dumbfounded as to how you create such beautiful art works. I have just watched one of your ‘free’ tutorials for the book covers and now am overwhelmed with where to begin searching for a rigid heddle loom as my budget is limited. WOW! I am certainly looking forward to this life long passion that has been sparked by this art, with inspiration from yourself and the community.
Thank you everyone,
Regards
Michelle
Kelly
Michelle, if you’re on Facebook, there is the Aussie spinner’s and weaver’s group, if you keep your eye out there are sometimes secondhand looms for sale there.

I would love the opportunity to receive this lovely gift. I have been following your blogs and YouTube but have not had much time to practice my weaving. I guess I just need to retire so I can make my crafts my full-time work if you will. Receiving this wonderful gift would provide me with the motivation that I need to get back in the weaving groove. Look forward to see more of your videos and increase weaving time as I do retire thank you for all that you do
Valerie Clark
Weaving has helped me center my mind during times of anxiety before the pandemic. The methodical warping motion. Watching fabric appear as I start throwing the shuttle. Satisfaction and joy unrolling a piece even if it is not exactly what I thought it would look like. Thank you for your videos. They have helped me. Much success as you continue!
Karen Neave
Hi from NZ 😀
As a new weaver, I’m loving what I learn from your videos.
I attempted to weave a tea towel as a first project on my own. It went badly wrong and I was so traumatised by my loom that I couldn’t face it for a long time.
Near the end of lockdown I had a go at a small scarf for my daughter. Yay!
Now I still have to face a smaller dent tea towel project. Your tea towel set, along with your very good guiding video would be the perfect encouragement to have another go.
Thank you for what you do!!!
Dorothy
Just love these towels… and your style, Kelly. I’ve learned quite a bit from your videos – but am still a beginning weaver. It would be such a treat to win the towel kit… I need all the practice I can get! Be well….
Jan
New weaver here – thank you for all your help. I recently started a project using beautiful but totally unsuitable yarn as warp, if it wasn’t for your YouTube help, I would have abandoned it as I had 20+ broken wrap threads!
Ended up with multiple warp and weft ‘floats’ but as the shawl is for me, I’ve left them as a design feature!
Stay safe, from the U.K.
SagariK
Hi Kelly,
To be honest I am not a person who would comment much on people’s posts but the possibility to win is too tempting to not do so 🙂
For me is always interesting to learn about other people life journeys. It is inspiring to see someone like you who follows the inner voice and start doing what is giving you joy and some inner purpose. As a very new weaver I am grateful for people like you who do manage to find resources to share their skills in order to help others on their journey.
I would be as happy as all of the ladies who wrote you some nice comments to Winn your giveaway present especially as these days the recourses to get some nice material for weaving is little bit more difficult then maybe just few weeks ago. The idea to hold in my hands original cotton from Australia is very exciting 🙂 .
Wishing you many more new ideas which you will be wiling to share with the world xo SagariK from Slovakia

Congratulations Kelly on your three year anniversary!
I have just signed up to your Gold membership group. I am very excited and looking forward to the Japanese project. I sincerely appreciate your method of teaching, which is always very clear and encouraging!
Thank you,
Sandra

Why I like to win it? Because weaving has change my life. I weave to get some rest in my life. I love yarn, I love colors and everytime I am surprised how things work out. To win this will be aussum. Then I am going to understand more of it and I will be challenged to do things that I never did. Wowww…..I will keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Thank you for the opportunity 🍀
Tracy Troutman
I’m part of the newest subset of weavers, those that took up this hobby during a pandemic. It’s been a learning experience…a fun and satisfying learning experience. Handwoven towels seem very appealing and comforting and I look forward to making these towels whether it not I win this kit. Thank you for the pattern!
sandie j o'day
Happy birthday Kelly. I have started the hand towels 3/4 through the first. Really enjoying it. I will be buying more cotton to make two more. Thankyou again
Good luck everyone
Debbie
Thank you for this lovely offer. I haven’t been weaving very long and love all your designs.
Carol Brown
I just found this contest. It seems like it came at the right time. I have two looms, a floor loom that hasn’t been put together yet and a rigid heddle. I have never used either, probably because I am afraid of failure. I have never woven before and am finding all kinds of excuses to not warp them. Maybe if I was lucky enough to win this kit it would be the impetus I need to try.
Anusha krishnamurthy
You are my go to for all my weaving..love the way you explain and teach
Alisha McGinn
Thank you for the chance to win! I’ve only been waving for a year or so but absolutely love it! I haven’t had the pleasure of making hand towels yet. 😊
Maruschka
I have just find you on YouTube. I really like the way you explane everything and i have already learned a lot . Now i have just received my Ashford loom and i wanted to ask you if you sell the yarn and ships it to Belgium . Thank you very much
Deb Abella
I stumbled on your videos when I was researching weaving & looms. Your videos have been so helpful to me on deciding what type/size of loom to order. I’m currently waiting on delivery of my new 24″ RHL. I’ve already decided to make your towels as my first project! Thanks for the opportunity to win a kit! Thanks Deb.
Dorothy
These look lovely. Thank you for sharing!
Mary
I am just learning to weave I have done a scarf and wanting to try towels. So it would be cool to get the kit.
Sasha
Your posts always inspire me to reach for my loom. Thank you for continuing to show the world what rigid heddle weaving is capable of!
Nic leszinsky
I have been a Crotcheter for a while. I know nothing about weaving, but have learnt so much watching your utube channel – in anticipation of my loom arriving soon. I recently bought an old spinning wheel too. My goal is to spin and dye some wool, then use my loom to create sometjimh fabulous. Making tea towels are also on my to do list!
Cynthia J
Kelly,
I am not posting to win. I just wanted to say thanks for what you provide. I am self taught, and because I have spurts of strange work schedules, have not dedicated time to spin and weave as I would like, to continue progressing. I’ve been watching your YouTube videos, You are an excellent guide, and I so enjoy the patterns you share, and your clarity explaining the methodology. It shows that you are a teacher (homeschooling)! Now I understand why I enjoy and understand your instruction so much more! You are our homeschool teacher! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.
Kim
Hello Kelly I’m new to weaving and I appreciate all your videos and patterns. I would love to try your kit. Then donate them to a essential service group. This would be my way of giving back during Covid.
Thank you
Kim
Deb
Thanks so much for your YouTube videos! These towels look a delight to weave! It would be so much fun to win this prize, and then….learn to weave towels! My biggest goal when I thought I’d like to try my hand at weaving was to make towels!
Deb
And, I would like to say congratulations on your anniversary! Wonderful to have your tutorials and available classes ! Thank you!
Alice Miner
Hi Kelly, your beginning journey sounds allot like mine. I crocheted but never mastered knitting. I can no longer crochet, embroider or manage many of the crafts I once enjoyed because of arthritis effecting my hands so bad. I tried the inkle loom and it was doable. I was thrilled. I then bought a 15” loom and I’ve been trying to master it. I watch YouTube videos and have made 2long scarves. I want to learn this skill. I don’t understand all the things about weaving yet but learning. I’m 68 years young and still love crafting . Weaving Your Wash my Hands towels would be a blessing in learning. Thank you for this opportunity. Thanks too for the free things you offer.
Judi Leatherberry
I really enjoy your YouTube videos, and recently joined your online weaving lessons. Actually, I look forward to viewing your lessons online next week…and I told my Guild about it; a few people are interested, so that’s a plus! During this time of lockdown, weaving is my “go to” meditation, and I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have that to keep me occupied.
Lisha Sante
Congrats on the three years – I enjoy your you tube videos – You are very thorough – Lastly I also enjoy making/baking your recipe for Whole Wheat Bread – I made it just yesterday – one loaf for me and another loaf to share with a neighbor…..
Darlene
Hello Kelly,
Last winter I decided I needed a hobby for the long winter evenings. I have been curious about weaving for some time and in a search I discovered your YouTube videos. Your clear descriptions and calm manner immediately spoke to me. I started with a children’s loom and played with making a few samplers. This year as Covid was keeping us at home I took the plunge and purchased a Rigid Heddle loom and now I am learning about tension and keeping my edges straight through your online beginners course. Kitchen towels seem like the perfect first project. Your love of weaving allows newbies like me to feel comfortable and find my inner confident learner.
Vickie Green
Hi Kelly,
I have only discovered your amazing site and video tutorials recently and have devoured all your videos and printed off some free patterns, gone back and read many of your blogs and ordered a kit from you already during this virus thing! I was an active weaver 20 plus years ago but sadly my floor loom and rigid heddle have been neglected as I pursued other crafts. Your enthusiasm, courage to share your “real” weaving experiences and awesome tips has me excited to start weaving again. My looms have been dusted off, some weaving books off the shelf and opened again! What fun to revisit an old love with fresh eyes after such a long hiatus. All due to you!!!!! I can’t thank you enough, or encourage you enough, on your weaving and teaching journey. You may never know all the lives you have influenced with joy and beauty. May God bless you and your family and “the works of your hands”.
Rebecca Martinez
How fun! Congratulations on 3 years! I’m new to weaving and my first loom arrives today! The “wash your hands” video is the one that introduced me to you and I have watched loads of your videos since. You really are a great teacher, keeping things simple so that all levels can understand and feel like it’s something that is possible for each person watching! Thank you for all you do!
Adi Levi
Hi Kelly, it’s great you wrote this and told us about your life story! I’v been watching your videos for a few weeks since I started weaving and felt like we have a lot in common, and now, after reading this 👆 – I know it for a fact! 😊
I’m also a mom-at-home , homeschooling my 4 children and running a small home-made business with an Etsy shop (I do natural cosmetics and soaps – AlmaSoap is our name).
And mostly- I’m also a huge fan of all ancient women’s craft such as knitting, embroidery, weaving, sewing etc…
I think this is real feminisms – just allowing yourself to be woman! Putting home and family first, enjoying what you do and still figure out cool and out of the square ways to make a living from it!! That’s Brilliant!!
I wouldn’t bother you to send me the weaving kit, because the shipping to Israel from Australia will be very high. Just wanted to say hi and keep up the good work.
May god bless you and your lovely family with long and meaningful life, good health and joy.
All the blessings,
Adi Levi from Jerusalem
Kelly
Oh my, your shop is BEAUTIFUL! Are you on Instagram also?
Patsy Gorveatte
I love this pattern. I have been all weekend warping my loom. I’m waiting for my husband to tension it while I wind it on. Having said that, I would love to win your yarn and make another set. I love your work. I love your patterns and videos. Keep up the great work for us newbies especially!
Patsy

Kelly,
Happy Anniversary! I am a new rigid heddle weaver. I have been wanting to try the wash your hands towels but have not done so yet. Soon!
May you have many more years of blessings and classes!
Cheers!

Renee Andrews
Thank you for all you do to bring understanding with your peaceful, patient teaching to the world of weaving! What a blessing you are! Cotton is a real favorite for me to weave….what a joy it would be to win the kit, I would love to make the towels and then keep one of them, and bless someone with the other.
Amy Bondanella
Hi Kelly!
So happy that your weaving school is such a success for you! It makes me so happy to see people living a life that they love, and sharing that with others. I wish you continued success and growth with this and look forward to seeing more content from you. I have benefited so much from subscribing to your school and can’t wait to keep learning and growing!
Esther
Hi Kelly,
Congratulations on your weaving school’s 3rd anniversary!! I use a backstrap loom, and I came across your blog while I was looking for patterns that I can adapt for my loom. I followed your instructions on waffle weave, and I added additional string heddle in place of the pick up stick. I’ll email you a pic of the finished piece if you like.
I’d love to try weaving your hand towels on my backstrap loom.
Charlotte Switzer
Hi, Kelly,
Thank you for all the ideas and encouragement you have given me and others. Your manner is perfect for people who are new and also more experienced and I love so many of your projects. I look forward to more projects from you!
Jill
Thank you Kelly for all you have done! You are truly amazing. Congrats on three years😊
Noelene
Thank you for sharing your weaving wisdom ! Am a newbie weaver but have learnt so much from your tutorials. When I get more confident I’m wanting to try your double weave baby blanket.
Karin
Kelly, you have been a huge inspiration to me these last two months. Your youtube tutorials are always a great help, as you have a wonderful way of explaining things. I still find sett and yarn confusing, as the products here in Chile aren’t labeled the same way as Australia. 🙂
Congrats on your 3 year anniversary!
Please keep the projects coming. I love them!
Eileen.Streets
Congratulations on 3 yrs going! I have had my rigid heddle loom for about that long, but I’ve only made a few things. I always get stalled on starting a new project when it comes time to thread a new warp! I am happy to have your emails to give me some inspiration and a reminder not to let the loom just sit there! Hand towels seem like a lovely project to get busy weaving again!
Sherry Christiansen
I jusy got my Ashford rhl and am anxious to learn. Apparently you are a great teacher according to all tge great comments and your success with your online school. I hope I win, would live yo be able to make hand towels for Christmas gifts.
Mary Dean
Hi Kelly- Congratulations on 3 years! You are the person who inspired me to take up weaving in 2017 and I’m so happy to have found you. The winter trees was my first ever Kelly video.
There is so much to learn about weaving, more than one person can learn in a lifetime. But with your patient guidance it is never overwhelming, always a joy and a success! Your love of weaving just shines through.
I would love to win this prize to be able to make my Wash Your Hands towels with that lovely Australian yarn that we can’t get here in the US!
Happy Weaving!
Cathy Purcell
Kelly. Congratulations on 3 years! I love your videos. I joined your school in November and then moved in December. I’ve started watching the classes, but have not started weaving again. Silly me. I’ve also done many crafts, but when I tried weaving I was hooked. It really helped with stress..
I live on the east coast of the USA, in the small New England state of Connecticut . It’s May 20th and today our state is easing some lockdown restrictions, We’re into our 9th week of lockdown, but the weather is getting better as we are heading towards summer (not much spring). We still have to wear masks to go places in public and social distance.
I would love to try these towels. I’ve been weaving off and on for about 15 years, but I’ve never made towels. Shawls and scarves mostly, but I want to branch out. There aren’t many rigid heddle weavers around me so it’s great to be in the company of your members.
Many more happy years at your school!🎉
Sandi Kilbride
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! I appreciate the patterns you’ve shared with us.
I started as a knitter over 50 years ago. About 12 years ago I bought my first spinning wheel. Eight years ago I was gifted with my first loom. While I am an avid knitter and spinner, I tend to neglect my looms (a 4-shaft tabletop, a Cricket, a tapestry, and an inkle loom). Thank you for providing the inspiration to do more weaving!
Gabrielle Rice
Thank you for such helpful tutorials! I’d love to win to make a set of towels for my mom—she’s not a weaver, but thinks that all of my projects (weaving and non) are beautiful and she routinely gifts me with craft supplies for various things.
Nancy Bruce
Congratulations Kelly, I’m so thankful I found your site a year ago it’s been most helpful.
Gay Pliska-Matyshak
Congratulations on your three year anniversaries! I am a new weaver and have only made scarves so far. Your tutorials have been very helpful to me as I learn new skills for this art. Your Wash Your Hands towels would be the perfect way to branch out.
Kind regards,
Gay

I am like many others, into fiber of all sorts: machine knit, CSM, spin (slightly) dye, sewing for almost 60 years..but I always resisted that loom. Too many odd words, vast contraptions with large pieces going back and forth. Well, I had so much yarn I knew I couldn’t knit with it all…so I thought, why not a little Cricket 15 inch RH.???? Well, why not ! Right after that a friend was getting rid of a 32 in RH with a stand and I thought, too good a deal to pass on. I was lucky enough to find you through a Ravelry connection…and someday I am going to be brave enough to warp both of them. My first planned projects are going to be towels ….so the giveaway would be a great start. And the cotton looks dreamy! Thanks for being out there for all of us.
Many thanks !
Marilyn
Congrats on your 3 year anniversary-quite an achievement! With all this time on my hands recently (but no space for my new-to-me floor loom) I purchased an Ashford 24″ rigid heddle loom after seeing you use yours. You have taught me so much already! I prefer to make practical items over purely decorative and towels are always handy and I love that pattern!
Lesa McKenzie
I am very new to weaving, I just bought a rigid heddle loom and am in the middle of my very first project. I love all your emails and tips and plan to sign up to your lessons to help me along the way. Id love to win this package to further my journey in weaving and help me along.
Christina Coghill
You are such an inspiration. Love all of your projects
Carolyn CREED
Congratulations on three years of teaching! I just discovered you a few months ago, thanks to many references to your classes and videos on the Rigid Heddle Heddle Looms Facebook page. I already signed up for one of your classes and I have watched several of your YouTube videos. You are so clear when you teach. I am considering joining to get all the good out of your website. I hope you have more and more rigid heddle classes.
sandy spaulding
I started weaving in November of last year. Since then, it has become a place for me to relax in the rhythm of the beater bar, and to watch with a bit of fear and a lot of fascination as the pattern appears before my eyes. I am learning so much with your videos. I now have homemade pickup sticks and have learned how to read the pattern to use them. My work is becoming more detailed and the selvedges so much nicer thanks to your tips. I am no longer afraid to change color or tie in loose ends. This is why I would like to win a towel package. As the quarantine goes on, the weaving is becoming a place of peace. Thank you.
Teresa Broseke
Congratulations Kelly on 3 years! What an accomplishment! You are such a great teacher….I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like your style. I wish I lived near you….I would enjoy spending some time with you.
For me, I’d enjoy the chance to weave with yarns I wouldn’t normally purchase, being in the US…..if I should win. Otherwise, I’ll continue to enjoy your classes (whenever I have the time!)
Thank you for the chance,
Teresa Broseke
Pamela Wirth
Congratulations, Kelly, on 3 years of your weaving school! I’m really impressed that you had the gumption to get started on this road to helping others grow as fiber artists. I have sewn, embroidered, knitted and crocheted for many years (taught by dear influential women at a very young age). I’ve been spinning for about 3 years now. I am a very new weaver, with just one project that I had to un-weave because I totally miscalculated the amount of weft I needed to complete it. Now I am struggling to start another project but can’t seem to find the right fiber in my stash (which is pretty big) and get colors to work together. My LYT is currently not available for hands-on or even live viewing of my questions. I would really enjoy having a kit to guide me and get me started on this new adventure. The towels are beautiful!
Joy Mark
Congratulations Kelly! As a beginner at weaving, your school has been so helpful! Thanks so much.
Rebecca Cengiz-Robbs
I watched your videos for about 6 months before I bought a rigid heddle loom. I really appreciate the work you do. I work full-time so I work very slowly on my projects but I definitely will sign up for your weaving school sometime this summer. Thanks so much!
Marjorie
Congratulations!
I would love to win the kit. When I started weaving, I hated cotton. It was very unforgiving. I’ve pushed through and I think its ok now. I’m currently working on some dish towels.
Sally
I probably wouldn’t spend a long enough amount of time actually washing & scrubbing my hands during this pandemic since I would be rushing to touch the beautiful towels while drying my hands! My resistance is low to feeling fibers. 😋
Dawn Eschuk
I am thrilled to have found your site on YouTube and on the web. What is even better is I have signed up for one of your videos as I want to learn how to weave on my table loom. I love the video and your clear explanation of how to do everything. I now see where and how to improve my warp winding, and everything after that step. Thank you a mille fois.
Denise
Kelly
I’m soo glad I found your site. I’ve learned sooo much the past 2 months. Congrats on 3 yrs
Kelly Jones
Hey Kelly! From one Kelly to another I am one of your biggest fans. Congrats on your three years and all the success you’ve achieved. I had both of my knees replaced between June 2019 and August 2019, along with moving, losing a sister in a house fire and a couple of other challenges I’ve sorta lost my will to weave. This would give me just what I needed to get my mojo back! 🙂 I wish you all the best of luck in your future. Regards, Kelly Jones
Chris Tocko
Hi Kelly! I’m so happy for you! As many others have probably said, it is because of you that I have become a weaver. My very first loom arrived about three weeks ago now and it was assembled and weaving within a few hrs. When it’s not threaded with a project it looks so sad! So of course, I get something on it right away!
Thank you for your school! I can’t wait to work my way through each and every video!
Rachel Lohman
I would enjoy winning your kit with the cotton threads. I enjoy weaving with cotton of different values. And I have never woven with Australian Cotton. I have enjoyed your YouTube videos and I am thankful that you have posted so many fine lessons.
Juliet Brollo
Hi Kelly, As one of your old timers……I discovered you when you first started to teach on YouTube, I’m not sure if I have the right to try to win this kit but I would like to try. I have learned just about everything I know about weaving from you. It’s been an absolute pleasure to have shared your teaching journey as one of your students and I congratulate you and your family on your success.
Rayleen Grim
Congratulations on three years! I found your YouTube videos when I first got my rigid heddle and was struggling to figure out how to use it to weave. You are so calm and encouraging and I can always count on your instructions to be easy to follow and mistake free. When I was first learning and the instructor had a mistake it was sometimes unrecoverable since I had no idea what I was doing. I am so looking forward to your new course on Japanese techniques. Thank you for all you do and for caring so much! Oh and I would love the chance to try some Australian cotton.
Maree Ratcliff
Hi Kelly. I have followed you for two years since I got my first rigid heddle. I have learnt so much from you. I would love to win and try some of your paid lessons. I find your instructions easy to undetstand and follow. My husband is now going to make me a reed stand. To tidy up my clutter of reeds and sticks etc. Congratulations on 3 years of helping others.
Kathleen Kavanagh
Kelly, I am new to weaving, having bought my first RHL one year ago (a Schacht 24″), but I’ve been an educator since the 80’s. Your instructional videos are excellent–clear, concise, easy to follow and easy to see what you are doing–and I know this takes quite a bit more time than the length of the finished product. So thank you for helping me out as I work on developing my weaving skills. I would greatly enjoy making these towels as my next project, and I would love to use the Australian cotton yarn you are including with the project. But don’t worry–something tells me I’ll be making these towels even if I don’t win the contest! Take care and stay safe!
Susan Stark
Happy anniversary! I would love to win this kit as I am a new weaver and really need all the help I can get! Thank you for your generosity!
Phyllis
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary. I’m not a weaver yet, having just taken one intro course just before the virus lockdown. Now I’m spending some time looking at YouTube videos and have enjoyed yours. I intend to take a second course in July, assuming it’s not cancelled and then intend to purchase a loom.
Beverley Lawton
Hi. I am new to your weaving school and about to learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom my husband has made! I am a new spinner and am inspired to weave since watching your YouTube videos which I find fun, informative and relaxing. I would love to make the towels that I have seen you weave and look forward to beginning my weaving journey.
Christine Rose
Now that i’m settling into retirement I’m able to immerse myself into your lessons. Having just mastered the pick up stick these towels seem the next logical step in the learning process.
Gaye Boland
Congratulations! 3 years is an amazing milestone.
I also have always been a crafty person; first learning to crochet granny squares when I was around 6yrs old growing up in the south west of West Australia.
Over the years I then learnt to knit, embroider whether cotton or silk ribbon, sew and of course cook – it’s all creative.
Then life got in the way so to speak and I didn’t really do any crafting until I picked up the hook again around 18mths when a Facebook post caught my interest for a CAL.
Then I was off and racing – YouTube was a great support combined with all the face book groups out there. One of the fb groups I am part of (#yarnishcommunity) recently had a member start posting weaving… OMG so beautiful – I was hooked!
I started asking questions and surfing YouTube for information and then one member suggested searching #kellycasanova weaving – well I watched some of your videos and I was sold – hook, line and sinker!
I have just ordered a 70cm Ashford knitters loom and am now stalking the postman for delivery … one of my first things I want to try is your amazing tea towels (then I want to crochet top them as gifts) – … looking forward to joining your classes as a member once my loom arrives…
I would love to win your custom pack as I can then use it during one of my first online classes with you .. I’m still researching and learning and your website is also amazing with tips and links on where to purchase supplies …
Congrats again and looking forward to your classes for years to come.. 🥰😘
Karen Glassman
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! I have learned so much from your classes and videos. I love how you break things down into bite size pieces. I tend to get easily overwhelmed and weaving can really do that to a person!
I’d love to try out the Australian cotton yarn in your kit. I’ve already made 2 sets of the ‘Wash Your Hands’ towels and I love how they turned out. I would enjoy making another set!
Thanks again for all of your weaving help 🙂
gloria
Hi!
I’m completely new here and waiting for a loom. I’ve always wanted to be creative but struggled with outlets. I started with knitting but struggled with my hands. I tried sewing but similar issues. I’ve done photography but the current virus has limited my ability to do this how I normally do.
I have connective tissue disease that has caused early arthritis and joints coming in and out. This has been awful for knitting and I can only manage small projects. My body has made me feel pushed against the wall in being creative- it can only do so much.
I got into the idea of weaving because we use handwoven textiles to carry our children. All of this has me getting a floor loom.
I need somewhere to start when it arrives and this would be perfect! I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the information and now, having no access to classes with covid, will need to teach myself. This set would be an incredible way to start. Even if not, I’m signing up for classes soon.
Thanks for considering!
Gloria

Congratulations on your third anniversary Kelly! I was so happy to find your You Tube weaving videos in the middle of a sleepless night a couple of years ago. This was before I had ever woven on a rigid heddle loom (in fact I don’t think I’d even heard of rigid heddle looms at that point)! But I clicked on the video and as I listened to you and watched you, the calming rhythm of the weaving was something I knew I wanted to do in my life. Now I’m in the middle of self isolating for three months I am so grateful to be able to weave in the garden on fine days and in my conservatory on the wet ones, it is a real blessing to me and it’s all thanks to you and your lessons. Thank you, you deserve all your success x
Charlotte DesRoches
Congratulations Kelly on your 3 year anniversary of your weaving school!! It has been wonderful following along on you weaving journey! I look forward to each and every new project you share. I have enjoyed being a member of first your YouTube classes and now of your Teachable School! Thank you for who you are and all you do. May your success continue to to grow!
Karen W
Congratulations! I’ve enjoyed many of your videos. You have such a calming spirit as you teach. I too, started with a rigid heddle loom a few years back. In December my sister-in-law gave me loan of her 8 shaft table loom. It’s been fun to learn even more about weaving.
Mel
I’ve just bought my first rigid heddle loom and every person I’ve asked for advice on how to learn has said “Kelly Casanova”! I’ve learnt so much already. Thank you!
Teresa Metts
I havs just finished your dwoe class and will be warping on for yoir wash you hands towels this wwekend. By the way, i love your soothing voice!
Gai Butler
Congratulations Kelly on the third anniversary of your Online Weaving School! With all of the time, effort, positive attitude and caring that you put into not just your weaving school, but into your free YouTube channel, free patterns and personal attention to all, the success that you have achieved is so very well deserved. Thank you for introducing me to weaving and for all that you do for me personally and for the weaving community at large. I would like to win this gorgeous kit as I’d love to weave these fabulous towels again in the beautiful Bendigo cotton! Thank you for the opportunity.
Denise Johnson
I am still pretty new to weaving, but have referenced your wonderful videos to help me learn! I would like to win the drawing for the kit so I can make a set of towels for my daughter, who is getting married.
Amy
I enjoy your teaching style. It is clear and easy to follow. Plus these towels are what you always need in the house. I have learned so much from your videos so please continue and happy anniversary
Kathleen
Happy Anniversary, Kelley I have learned so much from you. Please keep doing what you’re doing for many more years!
Carol
Hi Kelly, Congratulations on 3 years!! That is awesome. I am a relatively new weaver and have only done plain weave so far. I have watched several of your videos (several times each..lol) and learn something new each time. I haven’t gathered the gumption yet to try pick up sticks, but if I win the kit, I will sure give it a try…oh yeah, I’m going to try anyway, because the Wash Your Hands towels are beautiful. Thank you for all of the help and encouragement!
Anita Hunt
Your tutorials and patterns are my favorites—so clear and easy to follow. Like you, I have done so many things, but had always wanted to try weaving, and then felt as though this was the thing I was meant to do. I’ve only been at it since last fall, so although I’ve learned a lot, there’s so much more! (And I love learning!) Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary—I’m looking forward to learning with you for a long time!!
Linda Pace
Happy Anniversary dear Kelly. Your online school is so well done and I am learning a lot and will continue to be a member. Thank you for being available for questions. Your guidance is so appreciated. I would like to experience some of your Australian yarns and I know this will be a good experience. Blessings to you and your family.
Tennille M
I am really glad that I came across your website when I was searching for Weaving one day. I am from Edmonton, AB, CA and there aren’t many resources in our city for weaving (although every month it seems like there are more popping up). Your weaving tutorials helped me learn to weave and I am so appreciative!
Wendy Scheening
Congratulations on 3 years! I imagine it has flown by. I would love to win the towels kit but more importantly I want to say Thank You. I am quite new to weaving as I just started this past Christmas. I was never a knitter or learned how to crochet, so in an effort to learn about weaving and yarns, I started viewing your videos. This all happened just in time for the Covid quarantine. I think your ideas, videos and learning opportunities have allowed me to stay home without as much mental stress as I would have otherwise experienced. For that, I am deeply grateful and honestly, I think I have already won! Here’s to many more years weaving and teaching the rest of us. Thanks again – Wendy
Peggy-Stuart Smith
Congratulations Kelly. You have accomplished so much and now your hard work is rewarding you. At 75 I discovered weaving. However, I have learned in reverse and so wish I had found your rigid heddle videos when I first started……would have saved a year of heartaches and frustrations. I am throughly enjoying my rigid loom and totally ignoring my four harness loom. You have given me joy and relaxation. I would like to win your kit in order to try Australian yarn. Best wishes to you.
Tammy Lupo
Hi, Kelly. Congratulations on your successful crafting/financial planning journey!
I would love to have the towels kit because I love to craft, especially weaving and crocheting. I tell my friends and family that all my crafting equipment and gadgets are my toys, because I really do think of them that way. I love to experiment with them and play until I make something new that looks pretty and makes someone else happy. I love to give what I have made to welcome new couples to married life, new babies to the world, and new friends to town, besides giving lots of unique blankets to homeless people and to church-going needy friends. I love to keep learning and filling my computer’s memory banks with all kinds of new patterns, classes, and techniques to serve me well in the future.
Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and helping me to cultivate my own!

How wonderful!! Congratulations

Oh my gosh, Kelly. This would be an amazing prize to win. I have learned so much since joining your weaving school. I am not doing things perfectly, but I am sure having fun trying. I keep watching to see what I did wrong, or what helpful types you give. My idea of an ultimate workshop would be in person classes with you, but for now I will settle for videos. I would love to win the towels kit because I can’t get the exact yarn you use and I feel like it keeps me from getting as nice of results as you achieve. I haven’t started the project yet because I don’t want to do it without getting a really nice finished product. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, your wit, and your life with us.
Dee Kinney
Congratulations Kelly! Thank you for all that you have taught us and shared with us: your talent, your life, and your faith- you are such a blessing! As a newbie weaver, I’ve learned a lot from your YouTube channel and online classes. You make the learning process a pleasure because of your kindness and patience – you are an excellent teacher! If I were to win the towel set, I would enjoy the chance to grow in weaving experience. But win or not, I really appreciate you and your generous spirit. May you have many more years of success!
Rachel Taylor
Thanks Kelly. I am finding the membership super useful. As a knitter I love the outcome of weaving and speed, well after you’ve warped of course. I had started with the largest Ashford rigid but have also bought a smaller knitters which I am currently using as a leaner. Also acquired an inklette as I want to do bands for bags. And u have a tutorial yay.
Diana
Thank you so much for your content! I started watching you on YouTube. And have paid for some classes from your online school. They’ve all been so helpful and informative. Congratulations on your anniversary!
Barbara Stern
Kelly – it has been so amazing to be on this weaving journey with you as my guide. After taking a beginner weaving class at my local yarn shop two years ago (and falling in love with the craft), I found your free videos on YouTube and learned so much. I joined your Weaving School to have access to all the tutorials and classes, and as a way to say thank you for your hard work with a paid membership.
I’d love to win the kit, because I’d like to try the yarn you use. More importantly, I want to say thank you for your guidance, your help with my questions and your kind, loving and helpful manner.
Take care and stay well,
Barbara

Kelly,
I’d love to win this kit. I started weaving about a year ago and was a hand towel maniac at first. Your original you tube got my selvages to fly straight! Then I had a very hard Christmas and earlier part of the year caring for my mom as she died from pancreatic cancer. Quickly followed by this covid crisis. I have not been able to weave. This kit would help me find my mojo again. Thank you.
Susan Verellen
Congratulation on your great success. I have availed myself to many of your videos and learned a lot. I have made the “Wash your hands” towel set and really like the pattern. I would love to try the pattern with some of your ‘down under’ yarn. Love experimenting.
Julie
Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary of your weaving school!
I work with a Ashford 24 inch RHL
Love it.
Always look forward to your blog posts
And would love to win the towel kit
Patti
I first learned about you from your wonderful you tube videos when I bought my rigid heddle loom several years ago! Then I joined your school to learn about beginner weaving, and the quality and professionalism of your school has me hooked. Thanks for all you do, and the time you put in to make weaving accessible to everyone.
Elmari Potgieter
Halo to everyone all over the world. I hope there is a few from South Africa too. I live in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape. I have a rigid heddle (Ashford) and a locally made table loom. And inkle loom too. I started a few years ago but never felt like I am satisfied with my own work. So this is my second time being a member of Kelly’s group. (Now that our rand is very very weak against the $US – LOL) But here I am and I really enjoy every minute. Newsletter, video’s and pdf’s all help me to understand and follow what to do. So thank you so much Kelly Casanova for your classes and may you (and your family)be blessed by God for many years to come!
Karen S Meador
Thanks for relating your journey into weaving. I’m pleased for you and the success brought to you through hard work. Thanks for sharing.
Cathy Johnstone
Thank you for all your support Kelly. Your classes and posts have been invaluable to me and my learn to weave skills.
Sherry
Congratulations,
3 years for us and a lifetime of becoming who you are, this is a wonderful thing.
I was doing all sorts of arts and crafts until I discovered spinning which led to weaving.
I understand fully how it happens.
So glad you are a big part of the fiber community and have helped so many people.
My best to you and your family.
Happy life,
Sherry
Roseanne Rosenlbum
Kelly, the kit is a terrific idea, You are an insparation to us all. I have been doing art work all my life. I finally got into the garment center in New York, designing clothing. Now retired I can look forward to all the types of art I love to do.
Mary Keely
I would love to win this towel kit. My primary reason for getting a rigid heddle loom was to make kitchen towels. I am a newbie & really appreciate all the help I’ve received from you!!
Thank you so much!
Jane Seaman
Hi Kelly! My goal this year was to learn something new and weaving it was! I bought a rigid heddle and jumped in. It’s so not like knitting! Your videos and advice has helped me especially during this quarantine time here in the US. Once I go back to work, whenever that maybe who knows!, I’m going to invest in your online classes and more. Until then…
Thank you! Jane
Chaille Chilcote
Thank you so much for the chance to win.
Very generous of you.
Your videos helped me make a double width baby blanket on my rigid heddle loom.
And I just recently got a tabletop loom as I wait for my floor loom.
My rigid heddle loom gave me the confidence to move forward to a tabletop loom and soon a floor loom.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Blessings to you and your family 🙂

Hi there! I have learned many types of handwork in my life, embroidery, needlepoint, counted cross-stitch, leatherwork, crochet, and now, I think I would really like to learn how to weave on a rigid heddle loom! I had intended to take your class before I finally decided…but now I’m entering your giveaway! I am a visual learner, and I have found that crochet videos have been very helpful so learning in this way will be wonderful! I hope I win! (Terrible thing to say. I hope someone else wins because someone else probably can’t afford it, so don’t give it to me. I just wanted to say thank you for having this available.) THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Susan Johnson
Kelly I couldn’t be happier with all I have learned and will learn about Ridged Heddle weaving. I’m getting ready to retire and have as you have worked in many forms of creating things. Embroidery. Knitting, crocheting. Sewing kids clothes for my 4 children years ago. I love weaving for my family and friends. I would love to make the wash your hand towels in your colors for a special friend of mine. I made a set with heavier cotton I had at home. They are nice but can’t wait to get to a store to pick out fiber again in the future.
Thank you for sharing your gift of weaving. Will look forward to more classes and hear about your family and garden. Thanks again for all you do for us fellow weavers.
Cristi
Hi Kelly, I already told you once that I discovered your YouTube videos a year ago, it was love at first sight the dedication you put into each one of them, the beauty of your work.
Then through your blog I started to get to know you and your family, I love reading and listening to you, You are charming and an excellent teacher and how we live on opposite ends of the world, when you go to sleep I get up and I am extremely curious in the morning to see if you uploaded something on your blog or on social networks.
Thanks Kelly for being there and making my weaving easier and life more enjoyable…
Pat
Congratulations on your third anniversary, Kelly!
I’m so glad you are teaching weaving online. I took a Krokbragd class weaving a sampler on my rigid heddle loom. It fascinated me. When I got a second heddle, the book I have didn’t explain how to warp very well. Got a nice pattern but it was on the bottom of the weaving, so I couldn’t see it. The teacher I had hadn’t thought about how to use a double heddle and couldn’t explain it well to me. I found your class and I’ve started a Krokbragd bag. Love the clear teaching you give! This won’t be the only class I take from you! Thank you for the help. I’m loving weaving and it’s great to have a teacher like you there for me! I retire next April and plan lots of weaving. I’d love to win the kit because I would love these towels. We are washing hands constantly and to have these towels would make me feel so happy – to know I made them myself and to have such luxury. Thanks for the chance to win!
Nina T
I’m finding your blog and Facebook page to be the best help one could hope for. I’m brand new to weaving and am still confused about many things. After reading a post, blog or watching a YouTube of yours it is like a light bulb popping on. Thank you so much.

Congratulation Kelly! As a new weaver your videos have taught me so much. I know I have only touched the service of what can be done on a Rigid Heddle and can’t wait to learn more. Winning your kit would be a great way to get more experience. Stay safe and healthy!
Sandi Suggs
I started weaving in 2017 and you were the first professional weaver I met online. I used all of your free you tube videos as my teacher. I have since become a member and have made lots of your patterns. Thank you for being there for me!!! I appreciate your down to earth approach to weaving and life!
Denise Dickson
I have been following you for awhile and love everything you put out. I occasionally teach rigid heddle classes here where I live and have given some of your videos as resources for future or to remember things. You have a wonderful teaching style!
Why do I want to win? I love the towels (have not yet made any) and would love to play with the Australian cotton!
Stephanie
Thank you for all you do Kelly, I have learned so much from you and I love your teachable classes.
Debbie
Happy Birthday! I have enjoyed all your weaving blog posts and weave alongs. I would love to have a year membership but I’m retired and money is tight. But I’m grateful for all your free videos and weave alongs.
Wanda
Congratulations on 3years! I have enjoyed your videos and patterns you have provided in the weaving lessons . The videos are helpful from start to finish. I have made several of your patterns my favorite is the galaxy scarf, I want to learn to do the Krokbragd weaving . Can’t wait to make the Wash Your Hands towels (waiting on yarn). Would love to win the kit love the colors.
Marjorie Anderson
I love your classes, I’ve made the poncho, Spring table runner, and a couple other things. Hopefully soon I will get your town purse pattern. My favorite videos of yours are the hemming, and hemming the other end 🙂 I would be lost without them. Wonderful milestone, and great giveaway , congratulations !

Hello Kelly and hello everyone !
Thamk you for sharimg your experiemce with us.
I come from a family of crafters. My grandmother amd my mother have always been knitters, quilters, crocheters and my Mom used to sew and knit clothes for my brothers and me when we were kids. I have always been sourrounded by fibers and textiles and people who knew how to transform them into anythimg useful or beautiful (usually both).
My mom used to weave on a huge 8 shaft floor loom that her brother had built for her from scratch. Though I have never seen her weave (she didn’t use it much when she had us, 4 children and not much space…) I was fascinated with that machine as a kid.
Unfortunately she had to give it away as the wood was getting bad being stored away for so long in the garage.
I used to quilt and crochee as a teenager, then school and studies and work became more important for me and I thought I didn’t have time for creation.
When I myself had my first child 16 months ago, I remembered how important that crafting heritage was to me and I realised that I too wanted to give thar love of crafts to my children.
Si I remembered my mom’s old loom and talked to her about it. She dug up her weaving notebooks from when she was young and showed them to me. That is how, a couple months qgo, as the lockdown started in my country (I am from France), I asked my husband to build a small tablet weaving loom and the weaving tablets, and started weaving some bands. I absolutely fell in love with weavind at that moment. I love working with fibers, on beautiful instruments made of wood.
I very quickly wanted to move on to the next level and was absolutely thrilled when I discovered what a rigid heddle loom was, and that a smaller, beginner-freindly kind of loom actually existed.
Unfortunately in France, rigid heddle looms are not very popular. I live in the countryside and there are no weaving guilds around me. None of my friends are fiber crafters and, being around 35 like me, most of them regard knitting and weaving as a “granny activity”.
I had no one close by to ask for advice on weaving, so I turned to online ressources. That is when I stulbled on your youtube channel.
Thanks to your videos, I realised that a rigid heddle loom was much more than an “easy to use beginner’s loom”.
Thanks to your calm, patient and detailed way of explaining in your lessons, I decided, three weeks ago, to get my own loom and create.
Today when I read your email about your giveaway, I was thrilled. Even though my loom hasn’t arrived yet (lockdown delays, and a long shipment from Ashford NZ to my small french town!), I cannot wait to start weaving.
And right as I began writing this, I received an email to inforl me rhat my loom would be delivered tomorrow! Chance or fate?
I would love to win this wash tour hands towel kit. My mom and dad are big fans of Australia and their dream is to travel to your country for a coupke of weeks. The trip they had been planning for a couple of years had to be cancelled because of the worldwide crisis.
When I saw your giveaway, I thought it would be lovely to handweave some beautiful australian cotton towels for them, to use and take care of themselves and their health until they can finally go on trhat trip.
As for me, I am looking forward to assembling my loom and taking your classes.
Thank you for creating that online school, so that people like me, on the other side of the planet, can learn and create with the help of an amazing teacher like yourself, regardless of where we live.
And thank you to all of your friends and studenrs who became, through your facebook group, precious people to share with.
Happy three year anniversary, I am blessed to be part of this community of crafters.
Mary Jo
Kelly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am very new to weaving. I have made exactly two scarves and that was two years ago. I moved to a new province two days before COVID took over the world so I have met no one in my new community. I have my RHL. And a new time vintage four shaft floor loom. I need to get over my anxiety about warping and get on and use this quiet time God has given us . I will be subscribing to your classes very soon. Thanks for this exciting offer and congratulations on three successful years
Shirley Waskilewicz
You are my inspiration! Read all your emails, and itching to begin weaving again, I have a RHL but, unfortunately, it is not with me. Left the US in November expecting to return in March but because of COVID and border and airport closings, still waiting to return to weaving. Once back will join your Weaving School to learn many new things.
Marla
Congratulations on 3 years. I would love to win the kit. I am fairly new to weaving and learning everytime I sit down to weave. I have a Kromski Rigid Heddle. I still have so much to learn about what it can do and how to effectively do it. Thank you for your videos.
Colleen
Thank you so much for everything you do both for free through YouTube (love those) and through your school. I started crocheting when I was very young, stopped creating while in college, then picked it up again when kids came into the picture. After kids, though, I moved to sewing clothes and to hand quilting (relaxation being the goal here). From there I moved to designing and sewing my own clothes (I’m short, it was a necessity before Petite size became regularly available). After that I moved to knitting. After eight years of knitting, I became a bit bored with it. COVID-19 hit,, I was stuck at home, and I knew I needed something new and challenging as an outlet for my creativity. The YouTube push feature put a floor loom video in my suggested video list, and for some reason I watched it. I was so intrigued with the play of fibers, patterns, colors, and the meditative process that I started to watch the other suggested weaving videos. I was super intrigued, but I knew I had to start out basic. Except for maybe Kindergarten with paper, I had never woven anything. That’s when I decided to start with a rigid heddle. That was three months ago now, and I am totally hooked. I have a Schacht 25″ Flip with stand, and have already started collecting accessories … and yarn. Just what I need, more yarn! 😉 I’ve completed a couple of dozen projects: some came out pretty primitive and some came out really nice showing my improved understanding and improving technique.
Your YouTube videos have been, and now your “WOE to Go” class, is extremely helpful. I just can’t wait to move to the next project, next class, next yarn …
Janet Pinkelman
Congratulations Kelly on your 3rd Anniversary. I so enjoyed your story of how you became a weaver. I bought a maple table top loom 30 years ago and it remained in the box as I had no idea how to warp it or even were to get warp and I had no computer, It went with me when I moved to another state eighteen and then back here five years ago. It is still in the box. However, I volunteer in a thrift store here and the manager was a Christian weaver. Another lady who weaved cloth gave the store a room full of looms, yarns, warp, spinning wheels and misc supplies so we made a fiber arts room. I was able to make my first rugs on one of the Union 36 looms and there I got hooked. I have since bought my own Union 36 loom and several small table top or lap looms. I absolutely love doing the weaving. It is so relaxing and brings great sense of accomplishment. Sad to say, that my maple loom is still in the box. I will need to get it out and give it a try. Thank you for all your great videos. That is where I go to to learn the weaving techniques. Please, keep up the good work. I look forward to your emails. Thank you and may God bless you and your family’s lives. Janet

Congratulations on 3 years Kelly! I have always been a crocheter, since age 4. I just started weaving this year, with the help of your video’s and have already learned to double weave taking your class! Thank you so much for the wonderful video’s you have produced and posted on youtube to help other weavers. They were a God send to me and I have referred others to your classes and video’s. The wash your hands towels were so fun to make. Thanks for being such a great inspiration to others and sharing your patterns and passion of weaving.
Laura Folk
I am a brand-new Weaver. A dear friend inspired me to start. The plan was originally for her to give me lessons. Because of the need for social distancing, we were not able to spend time together. She recommended your classes, and now I’m weaving! I finished my first project- a table runner and placemats. There are a lot of goofs, but I know what they are, and I’m learning what I need to do to prevent them in the future. Thanks for leading me on my new journey.
Lynn Guscott
Congratulations Kelly….I learned about you at a local weaving course I took this year in February and have continued my learning almost exclusively through your videos and patterns. Thank you so much. Like you I feel like I have come home by finding weaving. When I need to be calm and relax it is my go to hobby. Your towels have been my biggest success so far so I would love to continue practicing making them with your kit. Thanks again.
G J Jamieson
Congratulations on your anniversary and thank you so much for your YouTube content, it persuaded me to buy a rigid heddle loom.
I would love to win the kit because I haven’t yet tried cotton; I have only tried wool since it is considered easier. Thank you!
Lori Knight
I am a knitter by nature and start to spin about 3 years ago, I have more yarn then I know what to do with and figured weaving would be an awesome way to use some of it. I had owned a 15” RHL & had done very basic weaving with it. Because of your videos & classes I have been able to learn new techniques & patterns. Thank you for all your hard work putting together fabulous classes and videos.
Kathy Klimczak
Hi Kelly. Congratulations on 3 amazing years! I am new to the weaving world – so new that I’m just buying my first loom (a rigid heddle loom). I have watched your videos and they are wonderful and inspiring. It was fun to read your bio and learn more about you. I too was a homeschool mom of 4 for eleven years until my husband passed away which made staying home to homeschool difficult. They are all adults now and making their way in the world. Your hand towels are beautiful and I can’t wait to get my loom to try them out. I also look forward to taking some classes. You are a great teacher! May the Lord continue to bless you, your family, and your growing business.
Joyce Rodler
Hi Kelly, your success story is very inspirational ! And you being such a humble person makes it all the better. Congratulations! I would love to win the sweepstakes, I’m a new weaver and need all the help and encouragement I can get.
Good luck to everyone!
Judy Churchill
As a newbie to weaving, I trawled YT watching every video I could find. I then stumbled on your ‘Wash your hands towel’ video and was totally inspired. I am all about colour, and the colours you used for these just grabbed me. So much so, that ever since I have been trying to find the same colourway, so winning this giveaway would be the icing on the cake!
Shayne Moon
I inherited my grandmother’s weaving gear from my Dad. I know they enjoyed weaving but neither had a chance to do much of it. I wanted to learn and happened upon the weaving video that you feature in this article. What a treasure! All of a sudden all the bits that weren’t working started to flow. I can’t thank you enough Kelly for the clear and easy to follow tutorials that you and your family produce. I always feel like my grandmother and my Dad are with me while I’m weaving. It is very peaceful.
Congratulations on your many achievements! From reading your blog, I know that it has not always been easy.
Susan Warren Nadolski
Congratulations! Thank you for what you do for the weaving community – so very helpful for those of us who are new to the craft. You make it seem so easy and certainly achievable for all! Love the Wash Your Hands towels – waiting for the lockdown to end to get some yarn!
Dottie
I’m weaving 3 years now and thanks to you, I’m becoming a professional. (kidding)
You have inspired me to try different patterns and materials and brought out my
creativity. Thank you. I now have a life time hobby!
Linda Chacewater
Hi Kelly,
First of all I’d just like today that I am so grateful for all your videos and posts. Yours were the first (and best) videos I stumbled across when mooching around YouTube for ideas a few years ago. You made it all look so easy and, being a crafter from the age of 8 (I’m 54 now) your videos really aroused my interest. I bought a child’s toy loom and made a scarf. I wanted more so I bought an Ashford SampleIt 10” as that was all I could afford. Using your videos encouraged me to try many different things and I fell in love with weaving. The way you teach is calm and detailed so that literally anyone can do it.
I’d like to win your kit because I haven’t been able to find the kind of cotton you use and it would be nice to see it in the flesh, so to speak, so that I know what I’m looking for. Your patterns are inspiring too, as well as being practical items to make. Thank you for offering the chance to win and huge congratulations on your weaving school anniversary.
Stay safe and well.
Vanessa
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary!! I have only been weaving for about a month and a half but your videos have been a wonderful asset to me while I’m still learning. Your Wash your Hands towels and videos encouraged me to make my first towels and I am so excited to use them. My friend is using her sewing machine to hem them for me. Thank you so much!!
Karen Borga
Congratulations! I have learned so much from you. I am so grateful you share your knowledge with us. Blessings to you and all you do ~ Karen
Hugh Malleson
Hi Kelly,
I’ve been weaving for about a year now. I looked at all the online tutorial groups and yours was definitely the best for me. You have such a lovely, relaxed style, and a methodical approach at just the right pace – I’ve learned so much from you!
Good luck with the next 3 years and beyond!
Bec
Hi Kelly, Your weaving school hasn’t transformed or framed you ; it has ‘woven’ you into the person you were meant to be!!!! Your videos are my go to for weaving, I love the variety of projects as well as practical information about looms and weaving. Bonus peaks into aspects of your lifestyle (cook grow teach etc) are always inspiring 😊. I’m still a few months away from warping my loom (recovering) so this is just a comment, not an entry. 😊 wishing all commenters best of luck for your lovely give away 😊 Bec
Rhonda Hazen
Congratulations Kelly on the third Anniversary of your Weaving School! I have learned so much from the lessons. They have inspired me to branch on my weaving journey. As a new weaver, it’s been so exciting to learn about all of the weaving techniques you have taught! I’m so excited to continue this journey!
Thank you so much for all of your inspiration and knowledge of weaving..
Sue
Hi Kelly.
I am hopefully an improving weaver. Your clear videos are helping me on my weaving journey and building my confidence. I’m very grateful for the free tutorials. I have worked with whatever wool and yarn I have. Not always great results but I enjoy experimenting. I am nervous about using cotton and I think I need a little bit of your bravery to rub off on me.
I wish you continued success. Happy three year anniversary.
Verity
Congratulations on three amazing years! It would be wonderful to be the receiver this wonderful kit. After twenty odd years of dreaming about a loom, I finally own one! And months later, a dear retired woodworker in our community helped me to build a second loom myself! It would be a joy to christen my self made loom
with such a unique kit!
Congratulations again and thank you for sharing your art.
Sandra Klein
I’m so happy to have found your lessons. They have helped me so much. Weaving is such a wonderful hobby. It’s also a way to be able to make others happy by giving gifts from the heart. Thank you for helping me learn this craft.
Irene Donovan
I’m new to weaving and just finished your Woe to Go course – it’s great, really clear and answered so many questions I didn’t know I had! Would love to tackle these towels next 🙂. Congrats on the 3 years and turning a hobby you love into a success.
Nancy Bloomfield
Congratulations Kelly! I love the way you teach and the knowledge you share with all of us in the weaving community!
Nanette Bromley
Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary from here in the UK.
I’ve not long started weaving. I have a 63 year old spears size 4 loom (16 inch weaving area) which I got 6 weeks ago. Started watching weaving vids on YouTube to help me start.
I found the spears loom limiting as the warp was a fixed type (slots in the rollers). So I’m just waiting on my Ashford 10 inch sampleit loom to arrive so I can weave properly.
Love your videos as they explain things clearly and easily. Only found them this week.
Patsy Gorveatte
It would brighten my quarantine here in Nova scotia anada! Cheers!
Liz Armstrong
Wow! Look at all the comments already. Congratulations on reaching 3 years. I’ve been weaving for only 12 months and had watched your free videos to learn the basics and just in the last couple of weeks joined your school which I am really enjoying. What you’ve done is not just share your knowledge, you’ve built a community around you. I am on a yarn diet this year, so winning some free yarn would be wonderful as I have loved seeing everyone sharing their photos on your Facebook group and I don’t have 3 different solid colours of this thick cotton yarn to try it out.
Karen
Hi Kelly I’d love to win because I’ve been neglecting my poor RH loom. I’d love a simple yet slightly challenging pattern to get me going again! Many thanks for the competition.
Ingrid
Congratulations and thanks for the opportunity to win this giveaway. I only.started weaving last sure then I got a rigid heddle for my 66th birthday. The first thing I wove was a tote bag using your tutorial. Since then I often turn to your site for advice and ideas. I have been using knitting yarns for my weaving so far and would love to win this kit with weaving yarn chosen specially for the project.
Sharon
Thank you Kelly, I’ve learned so much from you with your lovely voice and clear instructions. I love too, how you are so genuinely open about your faith journey. It’s so refreshing in these times Many congratulations on your success, it’s so well deserved!
Dylan
I love this story! I only got into weaving recently as my grandmother was going to get rid of a loom and asked if I wanted it. I’m a humanitarian so rarely at home and currently living in South Sudan, but decided to say yes! On my next vacation from work, I signed up for an intensive weaving course in Spain and bought a rigid heddle loom that I could take apart so I could take it back to South Sudan with me. I’ve been weaving every weekend since the lockdown began as a way to stay healthy and be able to relax from work. I’m just loving it. My partner can attest to my late night youtube watching in order to fix my edges or learn how to hem stitch. Your videos have been a lifesaver! I’d love to win the giveaway, but a big congrats to you on pursuing what you love either way!
Mary Green
Hi Kelly
Congratulations on 3 years! I joined your weaving school just over a year ago as a complete novice to this craft and I love it! You make it such a pleasure to learn and keep things simple.
I have made several scarves, placemats and table runners. Some of which have been gifts and the recipients have been delighted.
When I saw this pattern for the hand towels I really wanted to make them and they are now lined up in my project queue!
Take care and thank you.
Mary
Jennie Delaney
Thank you Kelly for this wonderful offer, for sharing your journey, and the fantastic videos. I’m still debating paid membership (minimal income right now) but have learnt so much from your free offerings. I’m very grateful for your generous spirit!
Felicity
Congratulations I’m sure I watched your first YouTube video and have seen many since then. I would love to try your choice of cotton in your kit. Best of luck with your future textile dreams
Denise Diaz
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with others.
I would like to win because I live in a rural area in Washington state with no access to weaving classes or teachers and it would help me to add another skill to my barely budding weaving skills. 😊 Thank you. Denise Diaz
Mary Wegelin
Dear Kelly,
Thank you for sharing your weaving journey with us. It is heart warming to hear how your passion for weaving has been so helpful to you and your family. I couldn’t help but smile when you wrote about your first YouTube video; that was my very first Kelly Casanova video – the video that helped me discover the joy of learning from you. As weavers we are blessed to have you as an active teacher/mentor. We are allowed to grow as you grow; to grow at our paces with support rather than judgment. You have BLESSED so many of us because you had the courage to not only share your passion for weaving/teaching but you also shared your emotional/spiritual journey with us as well; that alone was priceless!
At the risk of playing a sympathy card, which I truly do not intend to do but Kelly I have learned you are a very attentive listener and I need a shoulder to cry on – I would like to win your “Wash Your Hands” towel kit because my soul is weary and I desperately need a ray of sunshine. As a nurse, I go to work each day and check our COVID stats board to see how many patients we are caring for and sadly, how many have we lost! Then I go home to my six little feline furbabies (all of whom were either feral or abandoned until they stole my heart and joined the family). They, and my prayer life, are the affection that keeps me going in these challenging times. I miss time with my only child who, just a year ago (on Earth Day) gave me my only grandchild. They want to come and see me but, due to my job in the hospital, I refuse to be near them. Thank you Lord for GoogleMe so I could watch my grandson enjoy his first birthday cake from a safe distance :-)…Sorry to wax on but it felt good to get that off my chest! On a much more practical note, like one of your other fans, I would love to see and feel Australian cotton!!!
Kelly, thank you as always for “listening” and bless you for everything you do for us…God Bless and Take Care, Mary
Sally
I want to be able to be able to actually enjoy weaving rather than feeling that it is an arduous task that requires tons of planning & difficult setup. I would also like to gain a better understanding of how my choice of yarn colors and size would work with various weave patterns.

My mom first learned to weave in high school in the 1950s. She always wanted to get a loom of her own, it just never happened for her. So my sister and I got her an Ashford rigid heddle loom for Christmas last year. Obviously it’s been a good long while since she’s had a weaving project, so I’m helping her find resources to help her get going again, which is how I found you 🙂 Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping my mom and I learn (and relearn) how to weave together!
Beverly Tift
Hello Kelly, I found it interesting to read about your weaving journey. I just recently started mine…well last August. Right Now I’m making a summer top out of my second weave. Soon, I will start my forth weaving project. Thanks.
Janet
Congratulations on the anniversary of your weaving school! I am a new weaver and have really enjoyed watching the videos. It’s made me really excited to try new things! I would love to win your giveaway. I’ve been planning on making the Wash Your Hands towels but have been having a really hard time getting the yarn. Your kit would be perfect!
Thanks for doing what you do and here’s to many more years of creating!
Tiina
Congratulations! I’m getting my first rigid heddle loom soon and I was searching videos on youtube and then I found you. I really like your style to teach. As soon as I get my loom I will enter to your beginner lessons. I knit a lot but I haven’t had a chance to try australian yarns, so that would be great. I think I can’t even find australian yarns anywhere here in Finland, I would have to order abroad.
Amanda Wright
Congratulations Kelly on your 3rd year anniversary for your Weaving School.
I’ve been a part of your weaving school for a couple years and I’m grateful to you for your enthusiasm and love of weaving.
As a stay at home mum you help me to learn and I feel inspired by you.
I love your patterns, they make wonderful gifts for friends and love ones ( and myself ).
Your wash your hands towels would be a great way for my kids to start their own weaving adventures.
So congratulations again Kelly, looking forward to many more years to come.
Lisa Belfield
Congratulations 🥳 on 3 years Kelly! But I don’t think you realise how inspirational you are!
If I won this, I would like to forward it on to someone who may be struggling to obtain supplies, either financially or drought/fire/illness reasons.
Kandys Bleil
Well, I’ve been weaving for about 10 years and have made many, many scarves on my rigid heddle looms. I’ve since tried my hand at tapesty and bandweaving and bought a floor loom a couple of years ago. But during this Covid thing, I have found it hard to get any projects going. I don’t think it’s hopelessness, but I feel at loose ends with myself. So, I took up sewing facemasks to give away to the local medical community. Looks like I will have made about 200 of them by the time I finish my current batch. I think winning your towel kit might be just the ticket for me to get excited about weaving again. Late at night, I go to youtube and watch videos – there’s always a batch there that youtube has picked out for me. That’s when I ran across one of your videos a couple of nights ago. You do have a calm measured approach as others have mentioned, qualities that any teacher needs. But I just filed the information on the back burner of my brain and went to sew a few more masks. Thanks for being here and providing the service you do to the Weaving Community. May your business be blessed exponentially.
Veena Raghavan
Congratulations to you and your family for the success of your online weaving school. I am sure they have all contributed in some way! Three years is quite a landmark, and by this time next year, your school will be even larger. I wish you all the best. love your videos and the way you teach. Good luck in the years to come. May you have one success after another.
Kim
Congratulations on the success of your weaving school! I have been learning to weave from various sources for the past couple of years. I would love to win this kit as I have just finished a project and my empty loom looks sad. This would be perfect for my next project!
(I hope I didn’t double post. I can’t find my previous post and had some technical difficulties posting so I’m trying again. Just in case.)
Susan
Congratulations Kelly! What a wonderful history you have. I am one of those that benefits (((gratefully))) from your tutorials. Thank you so much.
Kim Henkel
Congrats on the success of your weaving school! I have been learning to weave from various teachers over the past couple of years. I have now 2 rigid heddle looms and a small table loom. Sadly all three of my looms are bare as not so sadly I just finished working on a project on my two main looms. I need a new project and this sounds like just the thing for my main rigid heddle loom!
Linda Kriss
Kelly, Congratulations on a wonderful milestone. Your videos are straight forward, well done and interesting. My husband’s last gift to me was my rigid heddle loom and I have enjoyed every minute of learning how to weave. I am ready to attempt the dish towels and hope I am the lucky winner.
T Bricker
I just discovered you through your Facebook posting about this contest. I’m going to give your towels a go but will have to figure out how to convert the draft to my 8 shaft floor loom. I would love to win this gift basket but even if I don’t I feel like a winner for finding your blog
Mary Ungerer
How wonderful that your school is 3 years strong! I started weaving a little over a year ago. My husband has a terminal illness and I find weaving is my therapy. My happy place to go where everything lines up in straight little rows. I found your online classes and am so excited to learn from you. You explain everything so clearly. I’ve wanted to learn to make the towels so would love to win your towel kit. Everyone uses towels so I could happily weave and be able to give them as gifts.
Judy Gibbens
Hi Kelly,
Listening & watching an Australian voice has given me an incentive to try something different from Plain Weaving. I’m a member of a Spinners & Weavers Group, but I am the only one who weaves at our meetings, so your videos have been the best thing I’ve found on Utube😄 I haven’t actually used cotton in any weaving on my RH. To able to win your Kit would be a true adventure. Thankyou for your time and effort in bringing those free videos to us💖
Christine Krannich
Congratulations on three years! What a journey you’ve had.
I have enjoyed greatly learning things from you that I missed elsewhere. I am thrilled to have access to a variety of resources. When any one source is not clicking in my brain, I turn to others to see if a different approach might knock everything into place.
Thank you for being one of the foundations of my weaving education.
Here’s to many more years!
Vicki Vik
These are great towels. As soon as I finish up the project currently on my loom I’m going to start these. The colors really remind me of those old 3D pictures you had to look at with the glasses (which was always hard since I’m partially colorblind lol)
D. Lathrop
Kelly, I’ve only been weaving for a year and a half, with only 5 months on a RHL. “Meeting” you and your family has been so heartwarming. From your instructional videos to your daughter’s music, I feel as if I’ve learned and grown. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for filling this retiree’s life with motivation, inspiration, and creativity.
Cathy
Congratulations on a successful 3 years and hope for many more!
I’d love to win the kit to try some of the great Australian urns you use and I’d love to try the fun new towel pattern.
Mary Kay Morris
Hi Kelly and Congratulations on your school’s anniversary!
The give-away is a fun way to celebrate. I received my 25” Schacht loom 1 1/2 years ago for Christmas. I found you on YouTube shortly after that as I started trying to learn what I was doing. I found your instruction thorough and encouraging and your voice calm. I have written a couple of times with questions and appreciate your responses. I subscribed to your school for 1 year, took this year off while my teen had surgery and applied to colleges (along with all the financial paperwork parents have to do). Win or lose, I will be back in the fall. There is still so much to learn! I would love to get to try the lovely Australian yarn you are offering. On the other hand, I have created a stash of yarn to make Christmas gifts this year trying to help keep my favorite little yarn shop in the US going through the shut downs. If any of your followers are struggling to have supplies during this time, they need it worse than I. Weaving calms and soothes my soul – and hopefully does for many others. Again, congratulations – your hard work deserves celebration.
Elizabeth VanDyk
I would like to win to experience Australian yarn. I love this pattern and have made several and family has requested more. I tell everyone about you and your wonderful YouTube channel and that you have an online school. I plan on taking some of your classes relatively soon, but want to get a bit of practice in first. I will be ready to advance my weaving abilities soon. At 74 years of age, I am a new weaver and am loving it. I wish I had found it sooner and my enjoyment is thanks to you and your wonderful videos. Thank you for all you do.
Sally Z
I’d love to try my hand at weaving a set of towels. I’m rather new to weaving (took a class in January with a loom on loan, purchased my own loom in February and have been getting to know ‘her’ during this ‘alone time.’) By joining a few FB groups, l’ve become familiar with your videos bc they were so highly recommended by others in those fiber communities. I truly appreciate all that you’ve brought to the fiber community.
Kim
I would love to win this kit. I don’t have much time to weave since I am helping to raise my granddaughters and work full time so a kit would save time choosing colors and shopping for the yarn. Thank you for the wonderful videos you share!
Jacinta griffin
Thank you Kelly for all your wonderful advice. I began weaving at the beginning of Covid lockdown….and after warping and weaving my first too short scarf with no help I started searching the net. Your videos were the ones that appealed most and now I’m having heaps of fun and scarves that are the right length! Loving your school, have made two sets of hand towels in different colour ways but would love to make them in the original.
Spring Noelker
Congrats on three amazing years ! I enjoy learning from you , and watching your beautiful creations come to life . Thank you for the chance to win , and good luck everyone
Lise G
Happy anniversary! I have been following you online since I retired 5 years ago and I have learned so many techniques under your guidance. I own a 24” and a 32” Ashford RH loom and I loooooove them. For those who think that the RH Looms are toys, I say explore its portability, affordability and versatility before you pass judgement! I would love to win the kit only because it is offered by you and your generous gift of time. and God given talents. Wishing you many blessings and many more prosperous healthy years.
Carol Lanctot
I decided I wanted to learn to weave a few months ago, so I started to watch weaving videos, ordered a 15” Cricket loom, dug out my knitting yarn stash, bought more yarn (of course), and raced into the rabbit hole into a new obsession. It wasn’t long before I wanted a bigger loom, so I ordered an Ashford 24” rigid heddle loom, fortunately before the pandemic shut the world down.
I have watched many videos, but find yours to be the most understandable and helpful. I love the Wash Your Hands towels, the Moroccan Dream scarf, your waffle weave instructions, and on and on. Im venturing into wearables beyond scarves, with fails and successes, but each is a learning experience. Thank you for your lessons and your encouragement to all of us.
Grace
I would very much like to get this kit because I am a beginning weaver, and at the moment weaving is what keeps me afloat. My work for this summer was canceled and I haven’t been able to so much as video call my friends in months, so weaving is what I do to feel productive and meaningful. I’ve been making scarves and simple projects for friends and family who are particularly down in the dumps and who could use a pick-me-up in package form. My mom really wants me to make her some dish towels, so this would be a perfect opportunity to help her out and keep my hands and brain busy.
Shelley Lamie
I’ve been following you since I watched your free YouTube video on making a handbag! I’m a terrible sewer and it gave me the continence too try sewing with my handwove. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with the rest of us weavers!
Alan Berry
Kelly,
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary. I have enjoyed going on this journey with you. I am amazed with your talent and teaching. Thank you for all you offer us. I enjoy your school.
Blessings and stay safe to you and your family.

Peg
Happy Anniversary!! And many more to come! You are not only an exceptional teacher but also a caring one who has created a lovely ”family” of weavers. We are blessed to have you in our weaving lives and journey
Karen
Learn to weave they said. It’ll be fun. HA! First you need to know all sorts of scary complicated maths equations. Remember what all the terms and words mean. Put them all together and hope you have a stunning peice when you take it off the loom. What a massive learning curve this has been. I was just about to give up on it all before I even started because it was all to much for my head to gasp when I stumbled across your site and YouTube videos. Sigh…. what a great day that was. I now get it! You make the process easy to understand and follow. I don’t feel like a dummy anymore and I’m enjoying the journey that is weaving. Thank you. Thank you THANK YOU!
Loyann Munyan
Wow the kit sound wonderful whoa great idea
Anne cabello
Dear Kelly,
Thank you for your contribution to the world. The patterns that I have bought from you have been very therapeutic and have brought me much joy. . I would love to win the kit to continue with my next adventure in weaving.
Blessings,
Anne Cabello
Christine Hall
I had lost my interest in weaving until I came upon this weaving school. Thank you.
Kris DeWild
Thank you, Kelly, and I’d love to win! I’ve been eyeing the towels, but don’t currently have the yarn in-house to make them thanks to our pandemic isolation. I love rigid heddle loom weaving and your videos. Kris
LeAnn Larson
I am a newbie trying to learn on my own with help from online tutorials such as yours during this crazy time. I would love to learn to weave some towels! You are very generous with your offer and tutorials. Thank you!
Anita Teigen
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! I’ve enjoyed being a member of your school for half of it. I’ve only been weaving for less than 2 years, and have learned so much from your videos and classes. I have focused on weaving scarves, but it’s about time I try to weave some towels 😊
Donna Faulkes
Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary. I am just starting on my weaving journey and would love to win this kit to get me going.
Beth Peake
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR JOURNEY KELLY. We all have a journey that we travel, some longer and more winding than others, but still as important non the less. I took early retirement from work 5 years ago from a job I worked in for over 33 years in the english prison service. I decided it was time now to have some ME time. So… I upped sticks and moved to my own little farm in France and I have never been happier. I have all my dogs and my sheep and I love my life. I bought a spinning wheel to be able to use my own fleece and I bought my very first loom. A short while ago. We always continue to learn no matter what we do in life and that is the best part. I have learned so much from your videos and classes I have taken and will continue to do so. So many inspirational people around the world willing to share their knowledge good or bad. In france weaving yarns are either non exsistent or incredibly expensive, but I have finally managed to source an amazing place in England who are helpful beyond belief. Here is to us all on our individual journeys and good luck everyone. But don’t forget to all take time time out for yourselves to reflect and recharge your batteries. Thank you all for sharing your hints and tips, and how many of us have thought to ourselves when we read these hints and tips. WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT 😊😊😊
Inga
I’ve been teaching myself to weave during Covid. I stumbled upon your site and I’m so glad I did! I’ve watched a number of your videos and have now tried weaving some towels. They’re not perfect, but would have been a lot worse without your videos!
I’d love to receive your giveaway not only to practice my weaving but to see the kind of yarn used and its thickness so I can better match my future projects.
Thanks for the opportunity!
Alice Harrod
Congratulations Kelly on your 3rd Anniversary! I’m so grateful I found you and all your amazing classes. I’ve been wanting to make your hand towels but don’t have the yarn for them yet. Plus my loom is occupied with Starry Night right now. I’m loving it so much. Thank you for those videos.
Brigitte Koehler
Kelly, I am so glad I stumbled on to your you tube videos. I’ve been knitting all of my life, some crocheting, sewing and only started weaving about one year ago. I only made four pieces so far because I also got acquainted with spinning and really love it. My goal is to spin my own yarn, weave and/or knit it and make my own wardrobe. Your classes are easy to understand and work along side you that it is a joy to create my own.I think it would be great to win your hand towel kit this could be my next project.
Thank you Kelly for being such a great teacher
Brigitte
Carol Garland
I love these towels! I have more yarn than I need (of course never the right one) So I do not want to win. I just felt the need to tell you how much your posts mean to me. Thank you, Kelly, for being you and sharing yourself with us.
Jean Christopherson
Kelly,
Congratulations on your 3 year Anniversary. You deserve every bit of your success, we know how hard you work. What I appreciate about you is your teaching style: it is down-to-earth, clear, not rushed, empathetic, unpretentious, and somehow anticipates the mistakes I might have wanted to make without your guidance!
The Wash Your Hands towels would just be the icing on the cake!
Thank you for sharing yourself with us–
Sincerely,
Jean

Hi Kelly, Wow, has it been 3 years already? Congratulations! I’ve loved your YouTube videos from the first time I stumbled on them way back when. Love your easy way of explaining every process, every technique, and your awesome accent is a winning plus. Haven’t tried these towels yet, but plan to. Pick up stick seem to be my go-to patterns, but still hoping one of these days I’ll get brave enough to try two, or even three heddles. Thank you for all you do. Keep up the amazing job. For the record… you STILL R.OC.K. God bless! 💕
Holly Whipple
I have learned so many things here. Thanks for doing all you do to spread your weaving knowledge. My family is appreciative as well…they are getting beautiful gifts and I am leaving them alone so I can go off and weave! 😉
Christine J Perkins
Kelly, thank you for all your work that you share. Winning a kit from you would be so special to me, as you have been my inspiration in weaving and personally.
Mary Nepsund
Kelly, you are my first go-to for weaving support, ideas, and classes. I’m currently working on your pinwheel class. I’m always looking for new designs, and the Wash Your Hands Towel would be a great new step….especially with the Australian Cotton that I would love to try out. Keep Smiling and Weaving !
Allison Herndon
I started weaving last fall and quickly found your school. Signing up was one of the smartest things I’ve done. What I particularly like is that your videos are short and easily watched in little chunks of time and that I can go back and watch the videos over and over until I’ve got my confidence up. I didn’t have a lot of time for weaving but enjoyed what I could. Now I’ve been furloughed, but I’m also taking care of my 92-year-old mother in the last stages of cancer. I think that weaving will provide me with a desperately needed respite. Thank you for your school. Congratulations on three years!
Allison Herndon
I forgot to add that I would like to win the kit because I’d love to weave with Australian yarn plus the colors are so pretty. I need some good kitchen towels that are sturdy and easily washed and used over and over. Thank you for the chance.
Delia K Jaquette
Thank you for sharing your story. I started when you offered the 50% off the first month, thinking I’d watch a few videos, then cancel. But I loved the videos and my weaving skills, especially my edges, improved. From monthly, I moved on to an annual membership. I’m really grateful you offered the special. It was just the nudge I needed. I think the kit is a great way to encourage new weavers to tackle a bit more advanced project. I moved recently from Georgia, USA where there were spinning, knitting and weaving guilds to the eastern part of the State of Washington where fiber guilds are not as common. I find joining a group like yours gives me a way to stay connected. Big hugs for all you do.
Ann Frederick
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! I’ve been watching your YouTube videos for about a year now and joined your school in December, right before I received my RH Loom. I still feel like a newbie but I am so thankful for you and all I have learned from you. I’ve watched other good weaving videos and read books that are very good, but most of what I’ve learned has been from you. You take the time to explain things in such a way that anyone can understand. Your love of weaving comes through in all your videos and your beautiful Australian accent is so pleasant to hear. I wish you continued success and that you and your family will be blessed as much as you have blessed all of us. ❤️
Cindy Flynn
Aloha Kelly,
First of all CONGRATULATIONS for your 3 years! It’s amazing how much you have done in that time just by just following your heart. I am so grateful that I came across your weaving school simply because there are not too many “in-person” opportunities here in Hawaii. Your videos are very concise and enjoyable to watch and your blogs are heart-warming. Thank you very much for sharing your journey. Stay safe and looking forward to more videos, blogs, and relaxation!
Nancy Barrow
Your story is inspiring. I love weaving but have never made towels so this would be an opportunity to learn and to see if I like doing it. I am an old dog and it is sometimes hard to learn new tricks, but I am trying. Stay safe and thank you.
Susan Gallo
Congratulations on your 3 year mark – how exciting! I discovered you about 2 years ago when I was just researching weaving and then became a member immediately and have loved your site ever since! I would love to win the beautiful towel kit and it would fit right in with my trying to weave dish towels for family and friends as gifts for the upcoming holiday season. Thank you for all you do and stay safe!
Jeanne
It seems life just gets better & weaving towels in red, white and blue would be perfect for the 4th of July this year even in isolation! Congratulations on 3 wonderful and exciting years which are sure to continue and I look forward to all the inspiration to come. I appreciate all your contributions.
Christi Gulledge
Thank you Kelly for sharing your story. Your generous spirit has touched so many, especially me. I love your classes and your posts for other homemade things. I purchased a grain mill to try my hand at making my bread with my own ground flour (and to be like Kelly 😂). You and your family are such an inspiration of Christ’s teaching. I thank you with a grateful heart. The towel pattern is wonderful! Have a blessed day 🕊
Carol
I am a devoted follower and student of yours. I would love to win this kit so I can make these towels using the yarns that you use.
Robyn Becker
Can’t believe it’s been three years! You’ve done an amazing job of sharing your knowledge and helping us all to become better weavers. Thanks Kelly
Nicole Jarboe-Paxson
Congratulations on 3 years 🙂 I only started weaving in November and joined your weaving school right away. it has helped me on my weaving journey. I can’t wait to learn more from you.
Tamara Dixon
Congratulations on your anniversary. I started weaving less than a year ago. Life was getting complicated: mom being unexpectedly hospitalized then sent to physical rehabilitation, my being laid off my job of 8 years all within weeks of each other. I decided to take those lemons and made lemonade! I thought one day while sitting with Mom, at the rehab hospital, that being idle was not making her better and heck it is summer why not learn a new craft? I got her crochet hooks to build her dexterity but I can’t remember how weaving came to mind. Anyhow, I went to YouTube to find out what “it” was all about. I think I even called it “looming” haha. Your video was somewhere among those that came up. I think it was the neat edges video. I watched a few more of your videos, jumped online and ordered an Ashford RH loom that you’d mentioned in a video. I even got a table loom when you started the course for table loom. Love it! Since then, you have been my primary source of RH weaving lessons. Thank you! You definitely have found your calling. I wish you many more years of success and happiness.
Kristin Maguire
I deeply appreciate your free videos on YouTube! My first project might still be languishing on my rigid heddle loom if I hadn’t found your clear video of hemstitching! As a newbie to weaving your “Wash Your Hands” towel project came at the perfect time. I had already warped 17 feet of CotLin in three colors in response to running out of paper serviettes. All your tips resulted in much smoother selvedges and less scary finishing.
Thank you for encouraging community and lifelong learning around the world! Onward and upward!
Lynn Hranac
3 Year Anniversary Wow! CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for sharing the story of your journey with us all! What an adventure you have had. You are a wonderful teacher and mentor.
Joyce Downing
Thanks for sharing your journey and your talents with all of us. I have learned a lot from your videos and online weaving school, and I’m just starting out as a weaver. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Judy Blakey
Thanks for sharing! Why would I like to win? Why not? It’s fun to enter something and win especially when everything you need is in the package.
I have enjoyed your videos and classes. You have helped me overcome the fear of warping.
Wendy Donnell
I wanted to learn to weave for over 50 years, but thought it would be too hard, too expensive, too…too…too… Then two things happened at about the same time: coronavirus and discovery of Kelly Casanova on YouTube. I learn by watching, so you’re exactly who I need! The Wash Your Hands project is great for a beginner like me. 😊
Judy Salmans
I am a new member of your school and can’t wait to learn more this year.
Gail
I recently joined your community as a paid member. I upgraded from my 16″ rigid heddle to a 24″. I want to try weaving towels with finer cotton. Love your site!
Beth Yousey
I’m new to your classes. I signed up for your weaving school. I’m learning LOTS. I can’t wait to make these towels. THANK YOU!
Denise Devereux
I am a knitter by nature but have not been able to knit due to a sprained finger. I had owned a 16” RHL & had done very basic weaving with it. Since the pandemic I now have a 32” RHL & because of your videos & classes I have been able to learn new techniques & patterns. It has been my saving grace. Thank you for all your hard work putting together fabulous classes and videos.
Diane Chadwick
Thank you for telling us your journey, how very inspirational. I’m a carer for my 96 year old mother-in-law and learning to weave with your help is a great way of relaxing(?). Good luck with the next three years.
Betsy
Hi Kelly!
Love your designs and your weaving school. I’ve learned a lot from you watching and following your classes.
Thank you for all you do!!
Eileen Carnevale
I have been a member since the beginning and I am so grateful for your classes. You teach in a way that makes people feel confident. I have learned so much. Thank you!

Good Morning Kelly, from Iowa… USA!! Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary of your school. I enjoyed reading your post today on your path to this point in your chosen career! You are to be commended and also your supportive family! I would love to win the towel kit to make some beautiful towels for elderly friends who now live in an assisted living community building. Life has been changed for this couple (and for all, indeed) who cannot be with their family to celebrate birthdays, Spring holidays, a wedding anniversary coming up. If I were to win, I would make this set of towels for them to use in their confinement and remember with each use that they are loved and cared about. And, I would also love to be able to weave with Australian cotton, just for the experience! Thank you Kelly, for making our weaving life easier and I always look forward to every post!

Your classes, your support, your enthusiasm and love of weaving have made that possible for me. I know you will continue to succeed in all that you do. Your heart and your talents are so big. Thank you for sharing them so generously with all of us.

Hello:
I love your weaving school on Teachable. I’ve been a little to busy in recent months to take any classes, but I’ll get back to it. I’m a knitter, and my stash it made, primarily, of wool. I weave from my stash, so I don’t make many towels. I would like the kit, because I love the pattern and the cotton colors. Happy Anniversary and thank you for having this giveaway! Terry
Marguerite C.
Hi Kelly!
I am not writing to win, but to congratulate you on all you do. I work in the health system, but weaving and knitting are hobbies that help me to relax and get away from it all. Your e-mails are the few positive messages I receive during this corona virus crisis. Although I have not been able to do any weaving because I am working full time and need something mindless like simple knitting at this time, I love to weave and cannot wait to get back to it. I am planning one of your first projects, a bag that I wanted to make for a trip to the ocean in Greece. (cancelled of course) I bought my rigid heddle loom a few years ago after I saw your posts on Youtube. I made quite a few scarves for gifts, and I have lots of ideas to do more projects. I am a bit slow, however, and need to concentrate a lot on new projects.
Thank you again for your cheerful work,
Stay safe,
Marguerite

Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge and your generosity with us! I have fallen in love with weaving, and like you, feel as though I have found my “thing”. I enjoy sewing, and knitting, but WEAVING on my RHL is where I find my zen. I consider myself an adventurous beginner but am learning in leaps and bounds because of your videos. I don’t know any weavers locally, and your FB page and Teachable platform give me a “home”. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Truly!

What a special anniversary, Kelly and how nice of you to celebrate with this kit. I would like to win this giveaway! Thanks for offering it…but most of all, for all you do for weavers, at all levels! 🙂

I have an inkle loom. I’m looking forward to learning to use my new little rigid heddle loom. You inspired me to learn to weave.

I’m a brand new weaver, recommended to your tutorials by many many people. They have been invaluable to me in beginning my weaving journey! Your gentle and deliberate Teaching style has been easy to follow, and your comprehensive beginner videos gave me the knowledge and confidence to jump in, warp my loom (mostly by myself) and start weaving my first project. I’m looking forward to growing my skills and sharing some of my creations.

I would love to be able to make these awesome towels using those colour ways. They are so popular… it’s great to be learning new skills and your online classes make that possible. thank you Kelly.

Kelly I love doing your online classes. It’s been a God-send for me to be able to do things in my own time as I’m able to. I’ve learnt heaps, and given I have more difficulty these days remembering and absorbing things on one hit it’s good to be able to revisit whenever I need a refresher. There is so many classes to choose from now the biggest problem is prioritising what to learn next as I want to do it all:-)
I’ve recently purchased a wider loom so I can do wider projects and also an Inklelet loom which I’m dying to try.
I’d love to win the giveaway as it’s one on my to-do list but as you’ve only got one to give I wouldn’t be disappointed if it went to someone in need. Some are doing it tough. Equally I’d be happy to donate the finished product to our local Aged Care facility for their fundraising stall. I give them Items from time to time.
Thank you for all that you do.

Kelly, The kit is an awesome idea! I would love to win so I can try the yarn you have chosen. I plan on warping my loom for the first time tomorrow! After practicing on placemats I would be totally ready to dive right in to the hand towels. pick me, pick me. haha. 😊

I have been a member of your weaving school for nearly a year and have produced things I never thought possible! I have made gifts for my daughters and even sold a few pieces. Without your support and friendly teaching style I would never have got this far. Thank you Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! Your information has been very valuable to me. I have hope again! I can’t spin, knit, or crochet, but I love fiber for its color and texture. I recently saw someone use a Heddle loom at a local Maine farmers market and I was fascinated! Maybe I can do this! We have 3 alpacas and have brought their fleeces to a local fiber mill to be woven into yarn. A Heddle loom seems like the perfect way to turn our yarn into something beautiful. I love rustic and primitive looks and am excited to get started. My Heddle loom has been ordered and I’m counting the days until it arrives!

Kelly, congratulations 🎉🎈🎊 what a wonderful achievement! I found you on YouTube a couple of months ago when I was researching various problems, wonky edges, broken warp thread, etc. I stayed because of your soothing lessons and fount of knowledge. Keep up the great work!

That is such a cool project! All my reeds are a jumble in a large armoire drawer.
