How amazing that 6 years have passed since I took a leap of faith and opened the Online Weaving School!
It has been so humbling to watch this little school grow from a handful of students in the beginning to something I never dreamed would be possible for someone like me. I am so grateful for all who have learned with me and supported me.
If you’re interested in learning more about the story of the weaving school, you can read this post from a few years ago.
The weaving school now has over 1500 memberships and over 10,000 registered users. Unbelievable!
This year I wanted to do something a bit special to celebrate the 6th birthday of the Online Weaving School.
I am very excited to share that I will be giving away an Ashford Sampleit 10″ rigid heddle loom!

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
Congratulations to Helen Ashenfelter! Helen commented:
“I would gift this to a friend- Libby- who would like to learn to weave but feels she can’t invest in the loom. She makes things for a local shop who gives to worthy causes in our area!”
Thank you to all who entered. There were so many worthy entries and causes, I do so wish that you could all be winners and I’m sorry if you missed out. Maybe next time it will be your turn 🥰

Congratulations again on 6 years! I enjoy receiving your weekly updates and tips. I would love to work on some smaller projects with the Sampleit loom. I winter in Mexico, and it would be convenient to transport it there. As access to looms and yarn are scarce in my tiny Mexican village, this would give me an opportunity to weave while I am away. There are so many interesting projects to explore on small looms. I would be excited and grateful to have this loom.

Happy Birthday weaving lessons.
I would love to win as well. I am a new weaver and think sizing down from my 32”.
This might be the way to seal my weaving interest.
At this point I am overwhelmed by my larger loom, and tend to avoid weaving.
OHSue
6 years! Great job there! What an awesome giveaway, maybe a chance to flex some creative muscles, color play, textures, play with some new fibers. Thanks so much for all I’ve learned on the blog and for the chance to win a much needed / wanted loom.
Loraine Lee
I love your videos and have learned so much from you in the past few years. Your style of teaching works well with my style of learning. If I were to win this loom, I would use it to teach others. The size is perfect for a beginner and would allow them somewhat instant gratification and a chance to try something new before investing in a larger loom. That’s what happened to me – LOL
Kelly Melton
Not sure if I made it in by the deadline, but this SampleIt loom looks awesome!!! As someone who has done knitting and crochet for years, I struggle with visualizing how colors work together in weaving because the way the warp and weft interact is so different than what I’m used to. Being able to do a small-scale sample would help so much with the decision paralysis around colors that so often keeps me from even warping my loom (a 24″ Schacht Flip) to start a new project.
Wendy E Garrison
What a sweet little loom! I am a new weaver and having a small and portable loom like this would help me gain experience and experiment with various fibers and weaving patterns in small projects as I am learning!
pam f.
The comments show you have an amazing number of followers-we all would love to have the loom. I hope you continue to teach and inspire many to learn and explore weaving on the RH.
Karen Bowman
Perhaps I have delusional fantasies, but I think a sampleit loom would encourage me to finally break down and sample some things before committing completely to my projects. I am getting closer to this point regardless of loom size, but I just have a feeling…
Thank you for all you do Kelly. You really have i spired me in so many ways.
Roseanne Rosenblum
Congratulations on 6 years. I would love to win. I could take this all over with me and show others that weaving is fun.
Donna
I will share the loom with a program for adults with intellectual/ emotinal disabilities in which they create art. The program is adding weaving to its art forms.
Victoria Charkut
I would be very very happy to win this sweet little loom. I joined a weavers group here in Maine last year and it’s something that is magical, remarkable and so worth pursuing. I love your teaching. Thank you!
Palmira Serra
Congratulations on the 6th birthday! I would love a little loom, both for sampling methods and patterns and also to encourage my middle daughter who is showing weaving quite a lot of interest. She could try her hand at a little loom.
Ashley
Congratulations on 6 years! I learned to weave about that long ago. Some of my friends would like to learn and the Ashford 10” SampleIt loom would be a great tool for me to be able to teach them. Thank you so much for offering this opportunity to win one!
Caren A.
Congrats on 6 years! Thank you for all that you do!
A 10” sample it would help me teach my 6-year old child to weave (he has been asking!) My 24”is too large for him to manage.
Thank you again for sharing all of your knowledge with us!
Kendra Davis
I would LOVE a small loom to take on our camping trips! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Sherrie Hertweck
Happy Anniversary! I would live a small sampleit loom. I am hoping to host weaving at the public libraries near me. Plus i would use it to teach others and when i travel. Thanks foe considering me.
Penny Fidler
I inherited a Cricket Loom from my mother and soon loved the art of weaving. It would have been so wonderful to be able to weave and enjoy this art with her. Winning the Ashford loom would enable my daughter and me to weave together, ensuring the continued legacy of weaving in the family, but this time together.
Lynne McHugh Gehling
Congrats on your 6 year anniversary! I would use the loom to weave in public. I am also an avid knitter and I’ve found that knitting in public has helped dispel the “old granny” knitting myth. I was part of an art demo in my community where I wove on my rigid heddle and we got a lot of interest in learning about the art of weaving. Keep up the good work! Your videos are amazing!
Pam Lawrence
Congratulations, Kelly on your Weaving school… you have opened up the world of weaving to so many people! If I were to win the Ashford 16” Samplelt loom, I would have fun weaving all kinds of scarves for family, friends and charities, which would also help with using up stash yarns! I have also been working on weaving bands and in particular Norwegian pickup bands and this loom would be the perfect size to use for those projects! Finally, I would explore weaving pieces to sew together for bags, tops, shawls, etc. Whoever wins will have a lot of fun exploring all the things this little loom can do! Best of luck to everyone!!
Lisa Magill
This lovely little loom would help keep my mind and hands busy, when I’m unable to use my larger loom. I have been largely bed bound for the last several years after an outpatient medical procedure went very badly. I’ve made a lot of progress towards healing in the last year, but I’ve lost the ability to pursue my previous hobbies (vintage sewing machine repair, jewelry making and sewing (to name a few)). This year my husband brought an old Ashford 32” Rigid Heddle Loom down from the attic for me and I am now learning how to weave. Thank you for your videos! I’m making beautiful and useful things again!
Weaving has been therapeutic for me. I want to weave. Completing a warp is a completed goal (even if it takes me three days to finish a simple warp). Once my loom is warped I am encouraged to get up and weave. On days that I can only manage a few minutes of weaving before having to lie down again,I’m still encouraged by my progress,I am enjoying the journey and tomorrow I will weave a little more. Weaving has also helped my brain getting back on track. Two years ago there was no way that I could have completed a calculation sheet (or even written this comment).I still have days where I am stuck in bed or on the sofa. Those days can be frustrating as my mind is waking up but my body isn’t cooperating yet.I would love to be able to weave while in bed. My large loom is too big to bring to bed with me but I am certain that the Ashford Samplett Loom would do the trick.
Doris Hurd
Soooo many comments and congratulations! I won’t have a chance to win the loom but if I do the loom would help me with my new weaving addiction. A small loom will go where others cannot!
Patricia Wakelin
Thank you for being such a valuable resource and congratulations on 6years! Winning this loom would help me to show others how to weave, the craft I so enjoy, like my senior mother, and friends. Now they only see the finished product but this would allow them to see how I created the scarf, for example).
Allison Herndon
I’ve had trouble starting to weave since my mother’s death. I think a small loom would let me start again with a small project. Easier to warp, easier to weave, easier to finish. Thanks for the chance. Happy anniversary.
Linda
What a generous giveaway! If I won I think I’d use it to teach my grandkids to weave. My grandson is always interested in my spinning wheel and loom and I think he’d enjoy learning who to use a loom.
Christine Swedberg
Congratulations on 6 years!! I am new to your school even though I learned a lot from you articles and videos , If I had the loom, my grandkids could do this alomg with me. They try on mine but it is a 24″ one. Thank you for the chance to win a smaller one!!
Cecilia Ross
Happy 6 year anniversary!
It is because of discovering first your YouTube channel and then this website that I became interested in weaving during the pandemic and quickly took the plunge and got myself a small rigid heddle loom and started experimenting and making things, and the new activity has been really wonderful for me. Firstly as a calming activity in stressful times (both meditative and creative – what a combo!), and secondly because after developing a nerve problem in my dominant hand (complex regional pain syndrome, in case there are any fellow CRPSers out there!) I had to give up a lot of activities I used to enjoy doing, like bicycling and embroidery. But I found that weaving (provided I take care to have good torso, arm, and hand posture – and in that sense I was so pleased with the practical advice and emotional encouragement in your video on layman’s (laywoman’s 🙂 ) ergonomics when weaving) is a lot less painful to me and it’s even helped rebuild some of my coordination and strength in what feels like a safe, low-impact, slow and steady way.
Having a second rigid heddle loom like this Sampleit would be really so to me. I’m going through a big family change at the moment and need to rather quickly become financially independent for myself and my two tween children. We’ve been living far from where I consider home (Northern California) for their whole lives and over twenty of mine, bouncing around different countries all over the world, but now I really want to come home to the beautiful place I grew up and where my family and friends are. To that end, I’ve been increasing my hours at my day jobs as much as I can (I teach English to Spanish people hoping to pass the entrance exams to join the foreign service, and I do freelance literary translations, currently of children’s books mostly) and am taking a 2-year course to become certified as a court interpreter. However I’ve about maxed out all available classes and translations and I won’t be able to take the certification exam and start working at that for another year and a half at least. Since I’ve loved making things with my hands since I was a little girl (first friendship bracelets and embroidery, then sewing clothes, and now also knitting and quilting in addition to weaving), I’ve been trying to get up a small (tiny!) business selling patterns I design. But what I’d especially like is to be able to teach beginner’s weaving to people in person. This is difficult with just one loom, for obvious reasons! If I had a second loom, I could use one as the “example” to demonstrate, and the other could be for the student or a small handful of students. There’s only one local yarn shop that I know of in the area I’ll be living, but it’s a lovely one that’s pretty well frequented, and I could even approach them about teaching there. It’s all knitting and crocheting in the area, so a loom would be something really novel and exciting, I think, for people to see and learn. The fact that the Sampleit is so portable means I could take it with me easily to wherever I was teaching. I even envision trying to organize something with the local schools or parks and recreation department so that I could teach children. I’m a big believer in people (who are able) making things with their hands. Apart from increasing dexterity, I think it fosters a sense of accomplishment, and patience, and creativity, and those qualities combined with the sensory nature of making things yourself can help enormously with stress relief. So many children these days (and us adults, too, really!) have a day-to-day and hour-by-hour experience that is often quite removed from the physical world. Especially after all the stress and upheaval of the pandemic, a lot of children, including my daughter, began to have a very hard time emotionally and have a lot of pent up energy and anxiety. I believe activities such as fiber and textile arts, woodworking – heck, even Legos! – are a fantastic outlet and palliative to distress and negative feelings. I think kids the same age and even younger than my own could find getting to weave – even if they never become experts in it and grow up to go into entirely unrelated fields of work or hobbies – both fun and grounding, and I’d love to be able to take a loom into a classroom or to a park and show them all about it!
Then on a completely selfish note (yikes!), I’ve personally never had the chance to work with two heddles yet. I’ve managed some relatively complicated stuff using multiple pickup sticks and heddle rods, but an actual second heddle would make things so much easier and allow me to do even more complicated stuff! It would also make creating samples quicker, and I could use those as teaching aids and/or as a sort of tangible portfolio of my designs that I could show to people, in addition, obviously, to using the samples as, well, samples to help me figure out and remember different fabrics I’m making or testing out – which I guess is what Ashford designed it for in the first place! 😀
Have fun weaving and thinking about weaving, everyone!!
Christina Hafner
Hi Kelly
Congratulations on your 6th year birthday. 🤗
It would be great to take a small loom with me anywhere. So I could show friends and other people how great weaving is and inspire them to learn to weave as well.
Thank you for the opportunity to win this loom.
Hege Hansen
If I win this I could in my bad days still weav😊 i have ME, and some day are better than other, and with the littel one I would still have something to do, that I manege . My arms get tried verry quick, so I think I would be abel to do some more with this. It would make me feel useful , her I am housbounded,
Diane Lee
I’m suffering from severe fibromyalgia and degenerative arthritis (and several other conditions), that means I’m in a chronic state of pain. I’ve always loved weaving and fiber arts, they bring such creative joy. I’m trying to heal myself and I’m hoping that learning to weave on the Sampleit loom will help me achieve this goal. This loom is the right size to handle when in pain. I believe that weaving on this loom can help me get stronger and also distract from the pain. I’m unable to work anymore so I cannot afford to purchase this beautiful loom on my own. I’m confident that creating on this loom will lift my mood, which gets fairly down due to the chronic pain. I’m very grateful for this chance to win, it’s a wonderful thing to do for our weaving community. I’m also wishing all the entrants the best of luck in this great contest. Many thanks again for doing such nice things for us all.
Ann Gannon
Congratulations on your anniversary.
Thank you for your generous offer to your weaving community.
If I was so fortunate to win this loom I would gift it to my 14 year granddaughter so that I would be able to use mine myself.
Ann
Kay Elam
You an are so kind to make this offer. My DH is unwell and I spend a lot of quiet hours beside him in small spaces. Weaving on The Ashford SampleIt Loom would help. To make those long hours productive, and maybe more peaceful. Thanks for letting me say this.
Anne Hampson
Congratulations Kelly on 6 years of the Weaving School.
I would love this loom as it would help me in various ways, I could learn a new style of weaving on it whilst my larger loom was occupied by a plain weave project, I could take this away with me to keep me occupied on rainy days (as you probably know it rains quite a lot in the UK🤣) plus I could take it when visiting my friend and encourage her daughter, & possibly son, to have a go.
Rosy Nancarrow
Happy Birthday 🎂🎉 I would love to win this little loom. I have a large free standing one, but I haven’t really used it yet as I jumped in at the deep end when buying it was a really good deal! I would use this little loom to practice and get proficient in weaving before tackling something on my large loom 😀 x
Patricia Giles
I have an Ashford 24″ Rigid Heddle; I would love the Sampleit to take out and about with me, to make small projects and samples on the move. Also to demonstrate to others and maybe sow the seeds of love for a new hobby!
Renata Brito
Winning the small heddle loom will make it possible for me to weave again. Nowadays I have not much space at home to work on a large loom, so I kind of stopped weaving. It will be great to make again some weaving art and tapestry and accessories.
Stacie Hite
I’ve been fighting a health condition. In an attempt to keep my mind sharp and my body (somewhat) working, I’ve been doing a lot of knitting and crocheting.
Recently, I also started weaving on an Inkle loom.
Winning this loom would help keep me moving forward, even as my health leaves me wondering.
Thanks for doing this.
Sherrie Hertweck
I would love to win the little loom. I have to uses with a little loom to start with. One would be to help others enjoy the art of Weaving. I always need a loom to teach others on so that they can take it for a week or two and practice. I love teaching others. The second reason would be for travel. It would be the perfect size to take with me when I go to Seattle to visit my daughter. Or go elsewhere hopefully someday Alaska. Thank you for considering me and have a wonderful year.
Cathy Murphy
I would love to receive the loom so that I can gift it to a friend. I would love for her to experience the joy of weaving and be someone with whom I can share experiences.
Sharon Lemons
I have been using a small frame loom (makes mug rugs) for sampling, but since it does not have a heddle they always look different than they do on my 20 inch rigid heddle. I would love to have this loom to make better samples.
Kate
Kelly, you are one of my favorite resources for weaving questions, and I really enjoy your classes and videos. I started weaving as a child but stopped for over a decade when I got intimidated by the complicated aspects of multi-harness looms. Rigid heddle looms were my saving grace as they got me back into weaving about four years ago–and I’ve woven almost every day since! (I have since gotten over my fears of multi-harness looms!) At present, I work in a community arts non-profit organization and would love to have a smaller loom to bring to work both for my own creative outlet and to introduce weaving to others. (It would also be great to have a smaller loom to take when visiting local family!) Lastly, I can see it being a useful tool for sampling different patterns and techniques in a more portable way than my bigger rigid heddle looms or my four-harness loom.
Thank you both for this exciting opportunity and for sharing all of your experience and ideas. Your emails are always a highlight of my inbox! Congratulations on reaching six years!
Mary Santry
Thank you so much for all you have done for the weaving community. I cannot tell you how many times I have played and replayed your videos helping me with my weaving technique. If I were to win I would use the Sampleit to sample. I struggle with color theory and putting together yarns for my weaving, if I am not following a pattern with pre-selected colors, I find it difficult to see the finished weave. I am too chicken to warp up my larger rigid heddle loom to sample. The Sampleit would help me explore color combinations. Thank you
Stacey Pepper
I would be able to work on weavings on vacation, in fact, I would vacation more! What a great excuse to spend time in beautiful places!
Marie Marrs
You are my inspiration! I have followed you as soon as I bought my Cricket. During Covid you were my weaving Angel. I would love a sample loom to help me with colors, reed size, and warp pattern size. I frequently skip making a sample and have regretted my choice. Keep up your good work, Kelly!
Judith L Phillips
I have a 32″ Kromski RHL that I love, but there are so many times I wish I had a smaller loom to test out an idea. It might take me weeks to get a project off the big loom, while a dozen ideas are running around in my head for the next project, and the next. It would also be fantastic to have a more portable option I can carry around with me and use anywhere.
Thanks for all you do to guide us on this weaving journey, Kelly!
Amy
I’m new-ish to weaving and have only worked on tiny things: coasters, bookmarks, etc.. While I know I can piece things together, I would love to be able to make some woven cloth.
Jan Talbot
I would have a great little loom for travel. It would be perfect for all those smaller projects!!
Kay Rutledge
Thank you Kelly for all of your posts and information! Being a new weaver and with limited space in my home I’ve enjoyed watching your videos on rigid heddle looms, they have opened my eyes to lots of possibilities for my weaving without the space requirements of a 4-shaft loom. A small loom is exactly what I need now! I am very interested in trying out different types of weaving and creating my own designs. I struggle with visualizing color combinations and a small loom will give me the opportunity to try different colors for the warp and weft to find the best combination without wasting a lot of yarn, something I’ve been struggling with. Your content is amazing, congratulations on 6 years, I look forward to continuing to learn from you!
Madeline Williams Welch
This is such a wonderful opportunity and a great idea to celebrate your 6th. I haven’t been weaving long and puchased a 24 inch loom. I love it! How would winning the Samplit help me? First, it would be helpful in my learning process on a smaller scale, less waste if I make mistakes. Secondly, it would help to be able to weaving in my small craft room where I like to be surrounded by my crafting instead of in my living room or dining room . Thirdly, it would help me to be able to gift more. And lastly, it would help to travel with my weaving, that would be so nice.
Thank you for such wonderful lessons and classes.
Kelly
Entry for Joy Cat Henig
I would absolutely love that little loom. It’s the right size to fit between my legs and on my lap so I can weave comfortably, and it’s just the right size for making scarves. I own the 15 3/4″ Ashford rigid heddle loom, and it’s just a bit awkward and too big for my needs. I guess a table would help but i don’t have that. I weave on my bed. That little loom would be a perfect fit for me. So I congratulate you and thank you again and always for all your many gifts you share, and I wish you well and continued success with your school, your family, and your life in general.
Debra Zuk
I think the woman who wants to surprise her weaving friend by giving her the loom should win the loom. Selflessness is a wonderful quality.
Kelly, yes, you provide us weaving classes at an incredibly reasonable price. I am a premium member and will continue to renew each year. One of my favorite things to do is peruse all the classes available to me through my membership. I don’t know of any other on line school that provides so much for so little. Thank you so much. You are greatly appreciated.
Deb Zuk
Sue
Having only recently purchased an Ashford Rigid Heddle loom and begun to practice what is definitely an addictive creative craft i would love to be able to warp and practice small samples. I love my loom but hate feeling that i am wasting warp when i find the desire to try a new stitch overtaking me, and i have a full width warp already on my loom. following you is wonderful. you teach at the speed that i so much appreciate. May you continue in health and strength to carry on. Many many thanks. Sue x
Shiela Kowing
I can see scarfs, belts, shawls, endless possibilities! How fun! I sure appreciate your help and teachings, and have learned so much since finding you!! Thank you!!
Kelly
Entry for Judy London-
“I would love to have to make samples on and also to weave mug rugs.”
Lee McFadden
Besides being handy to make samples before embarking on a full-size project, I would find this useful when teaching my friends how to weave. We get together for craft weekends.
Janet Koziol
Congragulations. If I won this little loom it would be a good starter loom for me. I have had one in person class on riggid heddle looms and loved it, I am ready to get started, I have started making a list of projects I want to do. Thank you for all your great information.
Judith Harrison
I’m reluctant to actually make a sample before starting on a bigger project, having a Sampleit would really encourage me to do so! Once I have started I always wish I had done one! I would also use it to teach other members of our knitting group when we gather in our local pub.
Sharon Diehl
Congratulations, Kelly, and thank you for your clear instructions and great classes.
Winning the Ashford Sampleit Loom would be quite a gift. Not only for personally creating sample weaves, but as a loaner for my local guild; Hangtown Fibers Guild, in Placerville, California, and for our county fair, where our guild has children and adults try their hands at weaving and spinning hoping to spark the passion we have in younger generations.
Thanks again for the opportunity and keep up your great work!
Terry Anderson
Congratulations on six years! I’m very new to weaving. Have taken a few classes to learn the basics. With this loom, can practice without wasting material. Cheers!
Barbara Longley
I would find it particularly useful for producing a little sampler before embarking on a new project on my bigger loom. Also it looks portable and would not take up too much room.
Astrid Drees
Hallo
Congratulations. I hope I can win this little one to learn more about weaving .patterns.😍
Adele Ings
6 years! Well done Kelly! Hopefully with many more to come. Keep up the hard work. Its so informative for us, your students. And so generous to be giving away this gift on your birthday!
As yet I am not a weaver (no loom) but I have been watching your videos and receiving your emails for a while in anticipation of one day weaving. I am a spinner so have a stash of yarn waiting. Waiting to be woven. This loom would make this dream possible. Thanks!
Susan Silvestri
Congratulations on the success of your weaving school. Congratulations are well deserved! The weaving school has helped me immensely, thanks to your thorough, friendly, and relaxed style of teaching. I would love to have a Samplet loom to help me experiment with colors, textures, and patterns. I’m also learning inkle and tablet weaving and I think that style might work on a small rigid heddle loom. My daughter is learning how to weave, and t think this would be perfect for her, Thank you for this generous giveaway, and best wishes for continued success in the future!
Sandi Costello
The Sampleit would allow me to become more confident with color and pattern. I would be able to experiment without incurring large expense, rather than playing it “safe” on a larger loom. It would also be terrific to set it up for my grandchildren to learn on because its size is so manageable.
Alison M
I have followed weaving for a while, and want to start, I have been searching for a used loom to start for months now, so with a little loom, I would start!
Joyce Simmons
Congratulations on 6 years! You are go generous with your information. I love watching your videos and learning about so many different aspects of weaving.
I would use the little loom for travel and to practice different types/patterns. Thank you so much for making the opportunity available.
Jocelyn
Congrats on 6 years! What a journey. Here’s to many more!
I would love a loom like that, I have a degenerative spine condition so I can only sit in my “comfy chair” and it limits my other activities. With this little loom I could sit in my comfy chair and weave!
Yasmin Martin
I am blest to already have a 10” Samplet loom! It’s an awesome little loom and I take it to my weekly fiber group! There is one passionate weaver in our group that uses “what she can afford,” a homemade loom. It’s functional, but I know she’d love to have a Samplet, and I would love to surprise her with it!
Leslie Gallimore
Congratulations on your 6th year birthday!! Without your weaving school, I would not yet be weaving. Your methods and projects are wonderful and inspiring. When I watch your videos I feel like you are right there beside me, guiding me.
That fabulous little loom would be great for testing out techniques and designs. Also, it would make it convenient to carry with me when I travel.
Linda
Wow, how amazing is this giveaway, thank you for the opportunity to win this loom.
I’m a beginner and would find this very useful to take with me to my local guild weaving meetings and with your online lessons, it will be great to learn some amazing weaving skills and have more confidence creating some beautiful items to wear.
Thanks, Linda
Jessica Van Der Molen
Congratulations on 6 years of weaving school! Winning the loom would help me teach my son (he is 8) who has been asking for me to get him a little loom to teach him on but stocks are hard to get and I’ve had no luck finding something that he can move around and comfortably use.
I look forward to more of your classes as I’ve learned lots from you that I struggled to grasp.
Orin Eisenhauer
I would be able to weave in more places because it is so portable.
Courtney Havenwood
What a generous giveaway!
I’m a new weaver and would love to have a small loom so it’s more portable … and so I can leave it out in my house!
Congratulations on 6 years!
Nina Banks
Thank you for the wonderful patterns, learn how videos, and the school. Hoping you never stop teaching. I have learned a lot of you. Congratulations on six great years.
Lissette
Congratulations on 6 years!!!! The Sampleit loom would help me practice smaller weaves without committing my large 32″ loom to practice smaller patterns and techniques.
Gai Butler
Congratulations Kelly, the six year anniversary of your weaving school is a wonderful, and well deserved, achievement! If I were lucky enough to win such a generous prize, I would use for sampling, which I have come to love and appreciate. It would also be used for weaving in the car and on family picnics and visits. And, if I’m very lucky, my granddaughter might become interested if she can see me weave often enough, it would be the perfect size for her to learn on. It has been such a pleasure to have found you and to be a part of your weaving school for the last few years Kelly..….here’s to many, many more years of your wonderful teaching!
Daneen
Since finding you on youtube during covid and learning to weave on my 32 RHL I have succumbed to handspinning, have not been brave enough to use it on my loom yet but a Samplit would be perfect to test out my spun yarn. Oh and congrats on 6 years, time flies when your doing something yor passionate about, you have made your dreams come true doing something you love.
Laura
Your videos have been so helpful to me and I am grateful. A small loom would make it possible to weave at all the kids’ outdoor activities which would be lovely.
Liliana Weintraub
Congrats on your 6th anniversary! I´d love this loom because I haven´t done any weaving for a while since the loom I have is big and setting it up in a comfortable place is quite complicated. A smaller and portable loom would allow me to sort out that problem and learn different patterns without the stress of thinking where I can do my weaving without bothering the rest of my family.
Helen Solomon
I would be so thrilled to win this, as I belong to a small village spinning and weaving group, and love encouraging new weavers. I would let them try weaving on it before they buy! Btw congratulations, you’re such an inspiration!
Patricia Brooks
Hi and congratulations on your 6th anniversary! I have to say you have been a blessing to me in my weaving journey. I began weaving about 20 years ago on a rigid needle loom, but due to family obligations and health issues, I set the loom aside. After finally retiring last year, I was able to take a tapestry weaving class at Fiber fest in Michigan. A classmate recommended that I look you up on YouTube and I am hooked! I am having so much fun weaving tapestries for my family and friends. Talk about an obsession! Weaving is very therapeutic to me, and I can’t thank you enough for your clear and detailed lessons and also your wonderful problem solving tips. I have learned so much from you and would use the Samplet loom for learning more detailed skills. I would like to make scarves using all different types of yarns and fibers. Thank you so much for all the possibilities and Happy Weaving!!
Albena Fairchild
I will incorporate it in my weaving projects as a companion to my floor looms and would feel like I can follow your classes for rigid heddle as well. It also would lend itself to easy transport for sharing with friends and family and help to introduce them to fun weaving projects.
Much thanks and blessings for what you do!
Madalina webb
Congrats on 6 years! You should be so proud of all your accomplishments and for how many people you have taught weaving to, it is rule such a beautiful art form! A loom would be helpful to me because of my son! He has fallen in love with watching me weave but most of the projects I am working on (like overshot) are a little to complicated to try and teach him. I would love to get him a loom of his own but we are low income and it is just not in the cards for me to afford a second loom.
These giveaways are so fun, thank you!
Gail E McKinnon
I would love to use a 10 in Ashford Samplet to try color combinations, weaving techniques, and textures before weaving a bigger projects. I’ve learned so much from the Online Weaving School classes!
Susan Stachelski
Hi Kelly,
Congratulations on your 6 years! I really enjoy your emails and have learned a lot from you and your classes. I would use the Sampleit loom for tapestry weaving and for sample color weaving. I was thinking of getting a tapestry loom but with the 10” Sampleit loom I would have a variety of weaving I could do.
Thank you for this great gift!
Susan Stachelski

Dear Kelly, congratulations on your anniversary! 😀
Wow, what a giveaway! I just started my very small weaving business in Hamburg Germany in March after two years of illness and am currently weaving my first collection for summer 🙂 I have a used 80 cm Ashford rigid heddle loom and I love it, but I am also still trying and learning so much and somehow make-do with a small school hand-loom (is that the right word?) for sampling and trying, but have also considered buying the SampleIt for exactly that: trying techniques and colours on a loom before I warp up the big one. The reason I have not bought it yet, is that my business only started and I am holding my money together as good as I can, so that I can last as long as possible, because who knows when I will start having an income.
I am so grateful I am able to make weaving my living now, but I would also really appreciate just a nice surprise happening, as I am dealing with grief since I started in March, it has really been a hard couple of months trying to balance everything and set up the business.
Thank you for the opportunity!
Susan R. McBean
Thank you for all your thoughtfulness. As if you haven’t gifted us enough already.
I would use it as intended…to sample! Which is something I have not done!!!
Thank you!
Carmi Paulson
Congratulations on your anniversary! I for one am so thankful for all you do to share your knowledge.
I am fairly new to weaving and have been learning the in’s and out’s through your online membership. The amazing. Samplet would be the perfect way to practice my skills I am learning from you! I also know a small sized loom would make it easy to share my weaving with my friends, who are fascinated and showing interest in trying weaving. It is a wonderful give away!
Jacinta griffin
Wow, 6 years, time flies- oh where do I start…. Lots of little samples, having my grandkids weave with me, being able to take it (just about) everywhere! Oh the joy
Marva Jolly
Im a new weaver and am enjoying exploring various projects with my 32″rigid heddle loom. I’m interested in a smaller loom ti travel with and also I’m seeing the benefits of weaving a small sample of the yarn a nd color selections before starting a larger project.
Jean Christopherson
Hello to my teacher!
I have loved being part of your weaving school! Your approach to each subject makes what can seem overwhelming into the steps that I can master to create something beautiful and unique without causing me to lose my mind! Thank you!
I have a guilty secret. I have never sampled though you have told me so many times that I should. My 32″ just seems too big, and I hate to feel like I’m wasting yarn…If I were to win the sweet Samplet, I would sample, I promise!
Lisa
Congrats Kelly! I am a beginner and I never used a weaving loom. I am interrested in learning weaving bands.
Elizabeth Annne Sielaff
I would use a Sampleit for just that…samples. Also it would be a perfect size to travel with and and one never knows who might see ‘weaving in action’ and stop to ask a question or two??
Enjoy Year Six. A fine age to be as our friend AA Milne knew:
Now We Are Six
When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I’m as clever as clever.
So I think I’ll be six now
for ever and ever.

Alice Tribuzi
Hi, It would be great for me as Im a beginner ,I also have a granddaughter who I know would like to learn the craft.
Linda Pace
I would give this loom away to my daughter, Wendy. It would be another way she and I could share by the craft of weaving. Thanks for the possibilities.
Michelle Khoury
Wow, Kelly what a generous giveaway and congratulations on the success of your weaving school! I have benefited from many of your videos and classes.
If I win the sample it loom, I would use it to teach my mom or my daughter. For their mental health, they have both do better when keeping theirs hands busy. Both have shown a lot of interest in my weaving, aren’t ready to commit to getting a loom but would be so excited to get one. Ha! I would have a hard time deciding who would like it most 😀
I LOVE the 10 inch sample it!! I got it on a whim bc my 16 inch presto is a little too big for my lap. Best purchase EVER! It’s my most used loom.
Louanne Holmback-Piggott
It is the perfect size for me to be able to teach my elderly mother and also my grandchild. Perfect to be able to share this wonderful craft and continue the craft through other generations both young and old.
Carrie Johnson
I have always been interested in weaving and love seeing all the work others do. A while back my aunt bought me a Ashford heddle loom and it still sits in the box, due to not having any room to work on it or a place to set it up. I always wanted a smaller loom, like the Sampleit loom , that could be placed on a table or even on my lap, if that’s possible, to practice and learn on, till the day I can use my bigger loom my aunt bought me.
Stephanie
I’d use it for…sampling. 🙂
Ellen Peller
I am “passing on the torch” and teaching children to weave. Starting with some neighborhood kids and then will consider branching out into the community. This would help me by having such a powerful little loom. Thank you so much for considering this request.
Laura Goold
Congratulations on 6 years!! I would love to be able to take a little loom camping with me and on road trips and such. It would be fun to take traveling!
Myrna
Congratulation Kelly for your online anniversary. I followed you since the beginning, when I had bedrest in 2018. I still have your video and very useful for me to watched again if I forgot something. I had 16″ RHL and I still have the 24″ Ashford RHL. If I have a new Ashford Sampleit 10″ weaving loom there are plenty of possibilities that I can work on it. I can weave a variety of projects on a small loom, including wall hangings, coasters, placemats, scarves, shawl and more.
For sure;
1. I will try to do simple project like scarf, dishtowel and more.
2. Getting know the loom more probably I can learn new pattern and probably expand my ability to design my own pattern.
3. After I gain confidence with it and also with the new pattern I am happy to share my experiemce with the others weaver.
Beside that small loom is more portable so I can travel with it.
Donna Chafin
Congratulations and Happy 6th Birthday Kelly!
I have 2 granddaughters who have shown an interest in my weaving and if I should win the Samplet I could teach them and it would be fun weaving together.
I’m a Premium member and look forward to every challenge you have for me. I might also add that my husband listens to you when I have you up on my IPad and although he doesn’t understand anything about weaving he enjoys listening to your voice.! Thanks Kelley for imparting weaving skills for those who follow you!
Irene K Baumgartner
Having a second loom would allow me to always have a loom warped for a second project.
Eileen Nelson
Congratulations on 6 years!!!
I have a large rigid heddle loom, which is a bit of a pain carrying to places, lol!! A smaller one would be soooo much easier taking places, lol!
Annette
I would love a small loom to test yarns together without having to warp the large loom, makes it easier. And this little one is portable so nice to weave outside.
LURDES FONSECA
CONGRATULATIONS on the 6 years and I wish your School many, many more.
A thousand THANK YOU for everything you taught me with your lessons, articles, blogposts, youtube videos, etc. I cannot stress enough how important it was to me, to have “somewhere/someone” I could go when I started to give my first steps in weaving. Wanting so, so much to do something and discovering not having the sightless clue of where to start (the RIGHT way) is frustrating. I’m still a newbie but now I can weave useful things instead of “this is not at all what I was aiming for”. And I owe it mainly to you.
I am so GRATEFUL to you and your willingness, kindness to share what you have learned with all of us. Again, THANK YOU, Kelly!
Just a quick end note: I am NOT applying to the Sampleit loom. This is only a congratulations message 😊
Sarah Koval
Congratulations on 6 years, I love watching your videos! I’m a student on a budget so having a small loom would help me make small projects that don’t use a ton of yarn. I’m also learning to spin and would love to try using my handspun on a little loom.
Sheila Adams
Dear Kelly, as a new weaver and a senior, I love your clear , detailed instructions. For me to win a small loom would be such a gift. I live on the west coast of Canada and have an older brother who is unwell, that I visit on the east coast. I usually stay a month and miss being able to work on my weaving. Since starting last fall, I have become quite enamoured with weaving. If I had a small loom, I could take it with me. I am not a person who wins in these things, but one must not give up trying. Thank you for this opportunity.
Congratulations to you and your family for helping us with your school for the past six years and continued success for many more.💕
Getz Debra
As a new Weaver, I am interested in all the things! The sample at Lynn would encourage me to do more sampling.
Karen Hartwell
I am new to designing my own patterns and weaving on my 20” Flip loom. The sampler would be great to test patterns on befor launching a big project on my 20 inch!
Maggie
I love to weave. It has helped me with retirement, downsizing and a major move. My 24 inch Ashford is like an old friend at this point. Also, the Weaving School has helped me learn so much. I really would like to win the loom to replace my original loom which will be donated to the local yarn shop for a teaching tool. Thanks for all the help and for the opportunity to win a new loom. (this is the second time I have tried to comment but the first doesn’t seem to have gone through).
Laura Mitchell
This is a great idea! And Happy birthday to your weaving school. I took one course and plan to take many more.
I would use a SampleIt Loom as a gift to my artistic granddaughter. I have an Ashford Knitters Loom and she has often commented on my projects. I think it’s important to encourage future generations in their artistic (hopefully weaving) endeavors.
Sabine
Congratulations Kelly on 6 years weavin scool, hoping for many more years!
If I would win this little beauty, I could take it with me to markets and show other people the
joyfulness of weaving.
Brenda Langford
Congratulations on your six year anniversary. I would use the Ashford Sampleit at my guild. I like to weave smaller projects.
Melinda McGlashan
As a beginner, I appreciate your YouTube videos and have treated myself to a membership in the school. I have learned so much and have a long way to go. My schizophrenic nephew is very interested in exploring weaving and the samples loom would be perfect.
Dawn Miller
Congratulations, Kelly! Your resources have been a big help for me in my weaving journey. It’s been wonderful to see your school and followers grow!
If I won the 10″ Sampleit, I would use it to weave narrower pieces, sample, and to teach new weavers!
Mona Gleysteen
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Kelly! I have been following you for 4 years! Thank you, thank you for all your hard work and inspiration. You truly have motivated me to become the best weaver I can be. Whenever I have a problem or something isn’t going right, I review what you have done or what you have talked about and I find that I have the courage and confidence to “fix” it.
My husband and I (and often our grandchildren) do a fair amount of camping and I like to take a loom because weaving is very relaxing and therapeutic. This loom looks perfect for weaving on the go. Currently I’ve been using my Inklette or a pin loom.
Michelle Fellegy
Happy 6th Birthday! What a great way to celebrate!! I would love to win this small loom!! I can create samples to figure out what to make on my larger loom. I would also be fun to take projects with to work on outside and on the go.
Julie Tazzia
Congratulations on six years! That’s an accomplishment to be proud of. As a brand new weaver, having the Ashford rigid heddle loom would be invaluable in teaching me the basics of weaving. I’ve been somewhat intimidated by my 8 shaft table loom and have been told starting with a rigid heddle loom would be helpful. Plus I could take it on my two family trips this year!
Sandra Ames
This would be a great teaching tool for our guild. It’s small size would mean less intimidation for newbies.
Bethany
Hi Kelly! I really enjoyed reading the history of your online school. As a stay-at-home / homeschooling mom of 5 I understand the need to have a relaxing and creative outlet. If I won the little loom I would use it for small projects and I would teach my 7 and 8 year old daughters (who have been begging me) how to use it. I have been learning spinning and weaving fairly recently, but the whole family is coming with me. My husband says he’s so glad I have this to do to “unwind” (haha.)
All the best! May you have many more years of success!
Monica
What an awesome way to celebrate Thank You this loom would be so helpful for trying out colors and patterns would love it.
Annemarie
Happy 6th anniversary for your weaving school!
What a most generous gift ♡
I would finally make samples, which I skip now because I have a 70 cm loom and waist too much yarn when I sample with this one and I like to weave smaller items.
Ruby Michelle Edwards
Congratulations sweetie and happy weaving school birthday and many more.
the little loom would be perfect for sampling and learning new teniques bfore moving on to larger project.
Suvi
This would be perfect to take with me when travelling or for weaving outdoors!
Toni Kaste
I agree Suvi, though I can’t seem to comment on my own, I am very interested in the giveaway congratulations on your anniversary, I love your content, and I could use this sample and learn for demonstrating Weaving at Historical societies!
Dusti
Congratulations on 6 years! The weaving school is such a great resource and I’m so glad to be a member. May your success continue for many more years! Since my other 2 looms are always filled with projects, I would use this little loom for 2 things: actually doing some sampling for future projects; and taking to schools for demonstrations.
Diane Dory
I have an 8 shaft table loom mounted on a stand. I miss my small rigid heddle loom which is how I began my weaving journey. Weaving small colorful pieces gives me a feeling of comfort. I could travel with the small loom when I visit family out of town. Congratulations on your success!
Kathy Roguska
Hi Kelly, congratulations on your success. I can not tell you how many fellow and beginning weavers I’ve directed to your site. I have learned so much!
So often I would like to try a technique or try something that I think would work for a specific project I have in mind but do not because of the time and materials required to warp one of my looms. It would be so helpful, and fun, to be able to, relatively quickly, warp and create a sample on the this small loom.
I wish you continued success!
Danielle Warren
This birthday giveaway is so generous and kind of you to offer!
I have an 8 year old son who is really interested in learning to weave. Adding a 10” Sampleit Loom to our home would go straight to him so he can learn alongside me!
Valerie Machajewski
Kelly,
I fell in love with weaving when a friend gifted me her 20 inch Knitters Loom and stand. I was thrilled a craft I had been curious to attempt was now a possibility. I began with a simple table runner with help from my dear friend at my LYS. It has been an adventure since that time. For Christmas my husband upped my weaving game with an Ashford 24 inch loom and stand I thought I was in heaven.
Then I discovered Kelly Casanova’s online weaving school and I fell more deeply in love with weaving. Your tutorial on the Italian hemstitch is the best. I have encouraged many to sign up for your online school to learn this simply beautiful hemstitch. Thank you for sparking ideas and solving my weaving dilemmas.
If I would be so fortunate to win the Sampliet Loom it would perfect for me to teach my granddaughter the joy and art of weaving. A craft she will have for her lifetime.
Congratulations on 6 years hoping for many more!
Tammy Modl
Congratulations on your success! It is very thoughtful of you to celebrate with such a generous gift to one in the weaving world. I recently retired and just got started with weaving on a 32” rigid heddle loom. As a beginning weaver, stumbling across your videos has been a very fortunate experience for me. Your videos are very informative, inspiring and understandable. I find myself impatient to learn and do everything I see in your videos. It would be amazing to have the opportunity to have a small, second loom that I could take with me wherever I go so I wouldn’t have to leave my weaving behind. Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity in the various videos you have shared with the weaving community. I look forward to the classes you offer.
Theresa Schaper
Hi Kelly,
Your birthday giveaway is so generous! If I won a Sampleit, I would use it to teach my grandaughters (ages 10 and 8) to weave. I have already helped them make potholders on a potholder loom and they really enjoyed that. This loom would be small enough for them to handle and not be intimidated. They would be enthusiastic new members of the weaving community! Thank you also for all your videos on weaving. They were invaluable to me during lockdown when I was learning to weave myself. Good luck with your weaving school going forward. 😀. Terry Schaper
Linda Kempster
Thank you Kelly for creating such wonderful content and congratulations on 6 years. I first came across your channel a few years ago when I purchased a Rigid Heddle Loom off marketplace. You had the most concise library of tutorials available on looms and weaving which gave me a thirst for learning and a love of weaving. I am forever grateful to you and for the inspiration you have given me.
A new Sample it loom would help me out a great deal as my old Ashford rigid heddle loom has a crack in the frame and not as sturdy as it once was. It would help me continue on with my fibre art journey.
Jasmina Colakoglu
Happy Birthday Kelly,
First off all, thank you for all the great videos and instructions. i am a newby weaver and have a larger loom that has proven a bit of a hassle as my apartment is small. So, every time i plan a new project i have to think how to accomodate the loom. A smaller loom would be great to practice more on and work on smaller projects without having to navigate where to put my loom. All the best from Istanbul

Congratulations on your wonderful achievement and many years of teaching us all to weave.
If I was to win the little loom I would use it to teach my granddaughter the art of weaving so that this skill is not lost to younger generations.
Lyn Le Lievre
I am absolutely guilty of rushing in and not sampling given time constraints! Winning this loom would take away all my excuses and avoid untold frustration and disappointments.
Congratulations Kelly on 6 years! I am in awe of your work and dedication to weaving. Thank you also for sharing your ‘failures’ so honestly so that we can all learn from them. This is something I really admire – and gives me hope in times of my little ‘happy (and not so…) accidents’.
Silvana
Happy Birthday Kelly for all you have done during these years! Your explanations are great also for me that I’m not an English speaker! I would love to have that beautiful loom to bring with me in my trips or to my shows, for making sasmples and for weaving narrow things.
Robyn Kalkaus
It would be a lovely portable loom to take along to my weaving group. Congrats on your 6 years!
Pauline Laughlin
Having a smaller loom would encourage me as a beginner (not overly confident) weaver to try more advanced patterns. Thank you for the opportunity. Best wishes for your anniversary.
Celia Ng
It will be so much easier to share the love with a small loom. It’s hard to teach on my large RH loom, and lend it out. A second/spare would make things a lot better
Alice McDaniels
Congratulations on the continuing success of your weaving school! I would like to have the 10″ loom to make it easy to take a project along while traveling.
Barbara LaGrone
As I am guilty of diving into projects without sampling, this little loom would encourage me to not only sample, but carry the loom along to gatherings where I could share the joy of weaving to my friends….So happy for you, Kelly…all your hard work and love for the craft shine through!
Kelly

Happy Birthday!! You should be so proud! The SampleIt would be great for travel and sampling…but I would especially love it for my grandchildren,
Thank you for all you do!
Dawn Smith
I’d like to win the Samplit because I returned to work just after beginning to learn to weave and I don’t have as much spare time as I’d like. Winning this loom wld enable me to further my learning in weaving anywhere and everywhere because of its lightness and portability (I could take it to work with me!) I could also quickly warp the Samplit for small samples without using too much yarn (budget not huge) to allow me to practise how colours interact together (which is currently the bane of my life – warping my loom with beautiful yarn to find the colours disappear on weaving). Many thanks for the opportunity to win this.
Loralynn A. Maresh
If I was to win this loom I would definitely weave more simply because of it’s portability. I would also sample more! Happy anniversary and thank you for the opportunity! 🎉
Rachel Mark
As a mom of a toddler, any project I start needs to be able to be set aside easily and away from curious fingers. This small loom would be easier to do just that! I also have started weaving while riding in the car… its often the only time I have my hands free! But with my 28″ knitters loom, this is a tight squeeze. A smaller loom would be perfect!
Thanks for your inspirational posts and emails!
Naomi Paskin-parsons
I would really like to have a loom that I could easily fit in a tote bag. It would also facilitate sampling as I tend to longer warps on my larger looms. It makes it difficult to just play around with yarn for fun or exploration.
Congratulations on your 6th year. It is really impressive!
Tammy Sanders
I do not have a loom yet, so it would be a lovely place to start. I would use it to learn on and hopefully create my own patterns and make scarves to sell. Education & retirement are not cheap.
Getz Debra
I am a brand new weaver and I want to learn and sample new techniques
Edyee Stocks
If I was to win this beautiful loom, I think that I would weave more – due to it being a lot smaller and more compact and transportable. I keep saying I am going to warp up my 36″ loom, but between watching my granddaughter and working part time, I just run out of time. Soon it will be nice out and I would love to be able to sit outside and weave. Win or lose thank you for the opportunity and all the inspiration you give me.
Judi Leatherberry
I would use it to teach others to weave and foster the love and use of rigid heddle looms for weaving. There’s so much you can weave on a small rigid heddle loom!
Kelly
Entry for Charlotte Carr Cramer
Karen Pyne
I would use the loom to teach others and maybe pass the loom gift on to a young person or college student who has been bitten by the fiber arts bug. I have a passion for passing the home arts and fiber arts on to the next generation and that little loom is fulll of creative possibilities that could sttart a lifelong journey.
Thank you Kelly for creating a community of rich learning that is valued by so many. Happy 6th Birthday and may we all be blessed by many more!
Beth Popp
If I won a sampleIT loom, I would sample more! And be able to weave project more on the go than my larger loom on a stand. Much even fold it up and take it with me somewhere. It folds, right?
Michelle M Gardner
Happy Anniversary! I’m hoping life will calm down to a dull roar soon and I can take advantage of all the beautiful projects in the weaving school. I started to do the weave-a-long but got derailed again. I am currently in the midst of moving for the 2nd time in two years and I’m having to drastically downsize everything. This means that I will have to part with my looms because I will have no room for them. If I were to win the 10″ SampleIt, that is a size I can take with me and I would use it to make items for sale on the go as well as gifts for family and friends. It would be well-loved! I have always been a huge fan of Ashford, and have an Ashford spinning wheel, and several looms I will have to part with.
Susan Capps
Thank you for your generosity and for all your videos have taught me! I currently have an Ashford 32” which I absolutely love. A smaller loom would give me flexibility to make smaller projects easier and the best part would be being able to weave with my granddaughters. They love to work on my loom but have not been able to make their own projects since Memaw always has something going! Ha! Thank you again!!
Barbara Stern
A well deserved congratulations for your hard earned success!
I have learned so much from you and will continue as a student in your on-line weaving school so that I can continue learning and growing as a weaver.
I wish you continued success in all you do.
Sylvia Wheeler
I would be able to work on more than 1 project at a time.
Joan
I commute two hours each way for the volunteer work I do – using the arts to build communities and improve well-being with youth and seniors. This loom would be small enough to allow me to weave during my commuting time and also teach weaving as an additional activity we practice together! Thank you for this opportunity and all of your generous teaching!!
Sharon Parker
I would love to win the loom. I currently have a 32″ Ashford but it isn’t very portable. My mom has dementia and visits with her are sometimes difficult. I find it easier if I bring my weaving with me but it is so difficult with the larger loom. I also sometimes do weaving at the lake and again, a smaller loom would be so helpful. Finally, I teach elementary school and have shown students how to weave but it would be great if I had a second loom that they could work on.
Congratulations on 6 years!
Sharon
Sue
Hi Kelly,
I am a new weaver and have been struggling with color design and patterns. Winning the Sampleit loom would be a dream come true for me as I truly believe it would help me create samples easier and give me better insight into color combinations and pattern weaving with different types of yarns.
Ruth Loeffler
Dear Kelly, you have created a wonderful school , no doubt with professional knowledge and great efforts! You deserve to have much success!
You also have empowered hundreds of people helping us to enjoy this wonderful tradition of weaving. Weaving is so useful; we create fabric and we create inner peace by being mindful while we weave.
I enjoy weaving and knitting and my family and friends enjoy receiving scarves, place mats and more.
My latest goal is creating products that I can share with people in need. I have special tendency to want to comfort homeless elderly people. In a world of rush, older people often are not given enough compassion and patience. With a smaller loom, I could take it to Costa Rica and quickly weave scarves for them. There, at night it is 14 Celsius. It would bring me joy to share my weaving with them!
May your school continue to grow!
Thank you for sharing your gift!
Many blessings to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Ruth Loeffler

Kelly
Congratulations on 6 years of hard work and great sharing!
I have been wanting to learn how to do more weft faced projects (is that the terminology?)
I am living in a 17’ travel trailer and have put my small 4 harness in storage- it is too heavy to travel with.
Merry Thornsburg
It would be neat to have a small loom to make samples of patterns or purse handles, or jewelry!
So excited! Thanks Kelly!
Meery
Deborah Kelly
Hi, Kelly. Many who have already commented here have better reasons than I do for wanting to win this loom, but it would be nice to have a small loom that can be warped with 2 heddles.
Susan B. Werrin
“I am guilty of not sampling.” There, I said it! I’m forever plunging ahead and tying on long warps, and then finding that the sett, or colorways are not what I expected. The Sampleit loom would help me to change my errant habits and would aid me in becoming a better weaver. Thanks, Kelly, for all that you do.
Angela Lynch
How would winning the Sampleit loom help me?
I am fascinated with krokbragd weaving. But I have found it takes me longer to complete those projects. When my loom is empty i am torn between krokbradg and other projects. I would use a sampleit loom to continue to learn keokbragd while still using my knitters loom to continue to learn everything else! Congrats on 6 years! Without you I would have been struggling instead of having fun with weaving.
Graham Bell
Will make sampling so easy. Thank you for this offer.
Wendy Murphy
Happy 6th Anniversary. A small loom would be awesome when I do crazyshot coasters or other small items.
Carey Neikirk
Congratulations on 6 years!! Whenever anyone asks me how I learned to do this, I always mention your name. Your school is a wonderful resource. This is a lovely giveaway too!! So generous of you. I would love a small loom of this size to be able to travel with, take to “crafternoons” or let friends try using to see if they would like to pursue this learning to weave.
Barb Vine
Happy birthday.
I congratulate you in growing a business from your dream.
I would like to win the sampleit because I am a new weaver and would love to share my learning journey with my grand daughter.
We both have been looking at all the possibilities on your learning channel.
Regards, Barb
Aliza Novacek-Olson
Congratulations on your success! I love working with natural fibers and using traditional methods to create fabrics. I spin, crochet, and wet-felt. Weaving on a rigid heddle loom is a new venture for me. I would love to try my homespun yarn on the little Samplet. It is the perfect size for learning and being small makes it more portable. I live in a remote area but have friends that are weavers. The Samplet would be a perfect travel companion to visit with and learn from others.
Rochelle Gibson
Hi Kelly, I’d use the Sampleit to share my love of weaving with my daughter who has inherited my “craftiness” and love for making things. I’d also enjoy being able to weave on the go and spread the joy with others along the way. I have only an 80cm rigid heddle loom and am loving learning double width blankets but they are long projects and it would be nice to have another project option.
Thank you for all the content, support and excellent products you provide. You have been critical in my weaving journey and I appreciate your heart and commitment to your passion but also your family and own well-being. It’s an excellent example.
God bless

Thank you, Kelly, for your excellent teaching and calm demeanor as you show people the beauty of weaving. A small loom would be perfect for me to try different techniques and yarns as my confidence increases in weaving.
Annette Schipf
This would be amazing. I could use it when On the Move”. I help my husband with farming and ranching and many, many times I sit in a truck or pickup waiting to shuffle vehicles, or give rides, etc. I also visit my children and could take this when I go to visit them. So many times this would be put in use.
I have 2 grand daughters and envision a time when I show them how to use the loom. So much easier for a young child.
Karen DeCraene
Winning a loom? I can’t imagine the possibilities! I would be able to share the craft with my Godchild, travel with my loom and weave in public – what a great conversation starter!
Happy Birthday!
Lorrain6
Congratulations Kelly on your 6th year anniversary and many more for the future. I am very much a beginner and the samplet loom would help me to experiment more and gain experience to tackle more projects. The size is so handy for traveling and having a bad ack would be much more comfortable to use. Thank you for this opportunity.
Carol Sank
I would love a small loom to take with me when I stay over and babysit my 1 year old grand daughter. It would be good for down time and maybe one day she would be interested. I have a 48 inch Ashford, and I are enjoying your classes
Terri Delory
Kelly – Congratulations on your 6 year milestone! I love my weaving school subscription, especially as your content has helped me to rally back from mental health issues that ended my career prematurely. Still, on more challenging days when I’m most in need of the meditative qualities of weaving, warping and managing a four shaft loom is not always possible. I’m thinking a smaller and simpler loom may be helpful on this days.
Margaret Baker
Thankyou Kelly, for your time and patience with me over the years. The Teaching School is wonderful. and I wouldl love to be ab le to buy into more classes. Winning the $5000 would mean so much to me, as I would have a lovely cache to be able to do so much with my weaving. Thankyou once again for the help over the past years.
Mary Homan
I am a new weaver and am excited to view more of your classes.
A new loom of that size would allow me to take my loom to and from the cabin this summer to allow more time for weaving; as well as take it other places. I would more easily be able to take in-person classes as well due to its portability. I would be able to have a couple projects going as well (using up some of my home spun yarn).
Tanya Windham
It would be awesome to have a small look that I could take with me on trips or weave on long drives!
Denise Kastner
Thank you so much for opening up all that a rigid heddle loom can do for me. Your class with three heddles really helped. Right now the smallest loom I have is 25” and it’s not great for sampling. Also, my grandchildren are getting old enough to introduce weaving to them and this would be perfect.
Again,
Thank you,
Denise K
Lisa
I would love to gift this to my daughter-in-law. She and my son have a very tiny apartment, and this would be perfect for her!
Anne Westbrook
Woot! Happy 6th Birthday! I would love to win a Sampleit loom. I’m a beginner with the rigid heddle loom and I am currently borrowing one from a shop. I would love to have a little one of my own to take to classes, guild meetings, festivals, etc.! Thanks for the giveaway. 🙂
Lisa Romberg
Congratulatios and happy 6th birthday to the online weaving school. I have learned so much from you Kelly. You are a true inspiration. Thank you for everything you have done. I would love a little loom like the sampleit, mostly to sample but especially to teach my grand-daughters how to weave.
anne cabello
It would be wonderful to have for my mental health. Having access to a loom that I can take with me everywhere would greatly help with stress and mood swings. Something to focus on has a calming effect.
Susan Smith
Your generous offering would provide me with a student loom to use for teaching a weaving class at a local gallery. Congratulations on 6 years and thank you for all the help you videos provide.
Carol Matheis-Kraft
Happy Happy Birthday.
I would use the 10″ loom to teach someone else to weave, as my 2 looms are always full with some project!
Ann
Congratulations, and thank you for so much inspiration, encouragement, and teaching! I’d love a Sample-it for sampling, and for the small projects I think of constantly while I have a bigger project underway! Also, I’d love to take it on visits to see my granddaughters. They love learning to weave. Maybe I’d be convinced to leave it at their house for awhile!
Francesca Amodeo
So generous! Thank you for the chance😍. Congratulations for the six year anniversary and for having taken the plunge!
I’d love a sample it loom for the simple reason that it would be so much easier to handle than my knitter’s loom with its wobbly stand☹️.
CINDY FLYNN
Aloha Kelly…First of all I want to thank you so much for motivating me to be an active weaver. I have a 24″ Ashford RHL in Oregon and a 32″ Ashford RHL back home in Hawaii. I’m truly a RHL weaver and always think about how I can create different designs for my towel projects. I travel a lot so when I’m not actually weaving, I’m constantly thinking about my next project. I yearn for my loom whenever I’m gone. A smaller, more portable loom may just end my misery. I also noticed your photo of a small loom upright against a wall…great idea! I always wanted to venture into Krokbradg and even tapestry and this is a great way to do it! I’m looking forward to more of your videos and blogs. Mahala (thank you) again!
Cheri robinette
Hi Kelly,
I love being a part of your weaving school and I have learned so much from you. You are a great teacher!
I think the smaller size rigid heddle loom would be a great tool for me to get into the habit of weaving samples and doing smaller projects. It would also be great to take with me when camping or traveling.
Thank you for all you do!
Sincerely,
Cheri
Susan Stark
Winning this loom would give me an opportunity to share my love of fiber/yarn/spinning/textiles in an ever-expanding way! I can see my granddaughters and I working together to create beautiful things together while instilling in them a connectedness to all the other weavers that have gone before us.
Thank you for your generosity over the years! You are such an inspiration to us all.
Susan Stark
Carolina
Happy 6th birthday.
I have a large loom to weave on and therefore I am forced to weave alone at home . Each week I am part of a creative leisure club (bobbins lace, crochet, sewing, cardboard, etc.) This small loom would allow me to take it with me to the club to show the weaving to other interested people.
Carole Burris
Happy Anniversary!
It would be great to be able to have such a compact loom to take on trips and also to enjoy outdoors!
Ann Patek
I am a relatively new weaver and find that I am often surprised at how my weft and warp play together from a color way perspective.I would use the small Kim to help me with that
Also…. I have a granddaughter who is interested in learning how to weave and I would use it ti teach Her
Tami Leslie
Winning a smaller loom like this would be a great encouragement to me to get it warped and weave! Unlike the procrastination I have with my bigger loom. What a generous giveaway!
Wanda Whiting
Would love to have a 10″ loom for smaller projects and easy to carry along with you. I want to try to some Inkle weaving on the Rigid Heddle.
Teresa
Kelly,
Congratulations on you 6th Anniversary!
Winning the 10″ Ashford Sampleit Loom would be fantastic, it would give me the opportunity to weave with my daughter.
Thank you so much for the opportunity:)
Alice Harrod
Happy Anniversary Kelly! What an awesome giveaway! I would love to have a smaller loom that’s easily transported. That is the loom I used at my first rigid heddle weaving class in Tucson. I knew I was hooked on weaving at that time. Then I came across your classes online. You have been so helpful with teaching me weaving techniques and I am forever grateful! ❤️
Stefanie Lloyd
Congratulations on 6 years!! I have learned so much from your classes. I would love to have a Sampleit Loom so that I can try out new patterns and create new projects. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are amazing!!
Anna manayan
Winning the loom would allow me to teach my nine-year-old niece, the beginnings of Weaving. Anna.
Anna Manayan
Winning the loom would allow me to teach my 9 yr old niece the beginnings of weaving! anna
Joyce Downing
Congratulations on your six-years of operation. Think of the thousands of happy weavers you have taught and inspired over that time…including me. I took up weaving after I retired in 2018 and I want to learn and try everything. Krokbragd is next on my learning plan and the 10″ loom looks like the ideal width for sampling and practicing new skills! Thanks for everything you do!
Anne Contento
I would bring it to my second home so I don’t have to carry my present loom back and forth.
Janelle
First of all, thank you for your weaving classes! I especially appreciate the double weave class.
I would love the opportunity to win the samplit loom. It would be fantastic to make smaller projects and have a portable loom vs my larger loom on a stand.
Deanna O'Connor
Thank you for doing this giveaway! No matter who wins, it’s a very generous thing to do and a fun opportunity to try to win. 🙂 If I had a SampleIt loom, I would use it to let my daughter weave with me. She is three (“And a half!” she would say) and she sees me weaving and wants to weave by herself so badly. I bought her a child’s loom on Amazon [eye roll] and it’s been a struggle, although she has stuck with it as best she can with such a low-quality toy. She wants so badly to weave but my loom is awful big for her. My son is very involved in Renaissance history and reenactments, and he does a lot of weaving and hand-sewing as well, but he uses tablet looms that are too complicated for my daughter. So, there you have it. If I had a SampleIt loom I would have something real my youngest child could actually use to make an actual thing, and we would both be so proud!
Joy Mark
Congratulations Kelly! You and your online weaving school have taught me so much! Thank you!
My 7 year old granddaughter, Olivia, loves to watch me weave. She wants to try it herself. So far we have just made potholders on a kids potholder loom. I think she’s ready to move up to her own rigid heddle loom. The Sampleit would be great.
Amanda Lubit
This is a lovely way to celebrate your milestone. For me the loom would be a way to get me sampling. Im almost a year into weaving and always want to sample but dont want to tie up my bigger loom… but I really want to start. Id also love a way to work on small projects (like mug rugs) simultaneous with a larger lengthier project on my bigger loom. Thanks for considering me.
Brenda Brooks
I would love to win a Samplett loom. It would enable me to do more sampling, take it away in my motorhome and make lots of lovely scarfs for myself and family. Happy 6th Birthday.
Cyndi Paola
Kelly,
Congratulations on six wonderful years. I have been following you for about four years, and an online weaving school member for 3.
I love your style of teaching, I can’t express enough how much you have helped me discover the weaver in me! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication, You are so appreciated and love in this, our weaving world.
The Sampleit loom would do just what it was made for here in my home, lots of samples!
So great for travel too!
Thank you for everything,
Cyndi
cindy menell
Happy birthday! I would love to be able to weave small projects and travel with my weaving.
Gale Vaughan
Last year I donated 20 scarves to a sober living home, all woven on my 24: rigid heddle loom. I think having a smaller loom would be quicker to warp and weave on, simply because of its size. I plan on doubling my donation for the upcoming holiday season. In some small way, I think my scarves are contributing to someone;s sobriety, knowing that a stranger cares enough to weave a scarf for them. hen these people come to live in the home, they virtually have nothing, sometimes just the clothes on their backs. They are usually at the lowest part of their lives and need something nice to help them through their journey to sobriety, I hope my scarves bring some light into their days.
MARINA
HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY TO THE K.C. SCHOOL OF WEAVING.!! 😁👏🎈🎉🎂 🥳
Winning the amazingly generous Kelly Casanova Weaving School 6th birthday giveaway prize would be an incredible experience.! I’d be able to take it with me most places as well as it being compact enough (especially in width) for my very small for age 6 year old to learn to weave and discover this awesome world of all things fibre and fluff-related with me.! 🥰 I hadn’t realised before that both the weaving school and my child are the same age.! From now on, I’ll be able to follow your journey and easily be able to keep track of the weaving school’s age in the years to come. 💖
Roseanne Rosenblum
Congrats for 6 wonderful years. I would like a small loom to take with me when traveling.
Akshata
My daughter is going away to college this Fall and will be 3 hours away by flight! I have a 24” RHL and would absolutely love to have the Ashford SampleIt 10” to weave when traveling back and forth. I know it will definitely keep me calm through the upcoming changes for me as a mum! Thanks and wishing your awesome Weaving School a very Happy Birthday 🎉🎊🎂 Thanks also for your generous giveaway 💕
Kim Sorensen
Congratulations on 6 years. The loom would help make it easier for me to get some weaving time in between working full time, tending grandchildren full time, volunteering part time and going to school part time. Since it is small, I could add it to a bag and weave while I wait in the carpool line, before class starts, or during my breaks at work. I know my granddaughters would love to use it too. They are 5 and 6 years old so it seems like it would be a great size for their hands.
Sherry Schichi
This would allow me to teach my daughter in law and my granddaughter how to weave along side me and be able to send it home with them to practice!
Cathy Miller
As a newbie it would be interesting to weave on a different brand of loom. I also do a lot of traveling and this would be easy to transport. Love all the posts and I am an avid watcher to all you share with us. Thank you for what you do.
Carolyn White
Congratulations on your 6th anniversary! Thank you for offering this great little loom. As part of an historical club, we visit 5th graders and demonstrate how our colonial ancestors made cloth and clothes via spinning, knitting, crocheting and with this portable little loom we can easily demonstrate weaving.
Annette Parr
I would so enjoy having a small loom, I would be able to take it everywhere with me. I would be able to use it in the car and on our boat. Oh the smaller items I could make. 😊
Bonnie Miller
Congratulations on the success of your weaving school. I have certainly benefited from your wonderful lessons! I would love to have a smaller loom to try pick-up patterns and to make scarves for our local Salvation Army.
Maggie Griscom
I love my 24 inch Ashford loom. I wish I had a smaller loom. We recently “downsized” and space is at a minimum. I have another smaller loom but would love to replace it with something more portable. Having moved to a very small town int the downsizing process I miss my weaving community and feel that is I had a portable loom I could join in with the “knitting” group but still be productive.
This is a wonderful gift for anyone. Your website and classes have helped me so much during this time of change and I feel like I have a friend close by when I weave. No matter who wins it is a wonderful gift from you.
Nanette
It would allow me to take my weaving to my friends groups and maybe interest them in weaving.
Kim Richards Gilchrist
I love weaving so much. I’d like to pass that on to my grandaughter so, should I win the loom, I will give it to her for her birthday. 🙂
Jen D
Congrats on reaching 6 years! Your school is such a tremendous resource, and I this giveaway opportunity! If I had a Sample-It, I’d use it for travel and to teach my daughter to weave. I’d also use it to try out new techniques without the loom waste that comes from my 24″ rigid heddle loom.
Rachel Marshall
Congratulations! I love every class I’ve taken in the weaving school. Thank you. Having the smaller loom would allow me to sample, weave when traveling, and have two projects going at once. I would be able to make a dent in my yarn stash! Good luck to everyone and best wishes to you Kelly.
Adriana Corral
Winning the Sampleit loom would be amazing! I am currently self-employed and developing a weaving program for young widows. Winning the Sampleit loom would allow me to have a loom to travel with for demonstrations and start 1-1 beginner classes working with the student simultaneously. Winning would allow me to expand my programs and services in my community.
Audrey Lintner
Such a kind offer must be shared. If I were to be gifted with this loom, I’d give it to one of our local schools, along with a supply of yarn and the offer of lessons and demos as needed. The chance to encourage students who need a creative outlet or a visual way to express their feelings is too good to pass up.
Cheri Sutherland
So many times I’e wanted to try out a new rigid heddle weaving pattern or technique as Kelly has shown in her newsletter or on Youtube.. I am stoped before I can begin though by the lack of space that the larger rigid heddle loom on its stand takes up, and makes it difficult for my handicapped husband to get around. I (sadly) have had to stop weaving until such time as I can get a smaller loom that can be used on the dining room table, yet easily (but gently) picked up and moved when it is dinner time. It nearly broke my heart when I had to cut all that carefully warped cotton thread from loom to warping peg. The space that a wheel chair could get through was being blocked by the warping process and the other area where I could warp was not quite large enough to accommodate the larger rigid heddle loom. What’s a girl to do-lol. (May 19, by coincidence, also happens to be my birthday! How funny.)
Judy
Happy 6 years! And here’s to many more!. Having this one might just do samples lol. But really I would give it or loan it to my 13 yr old grand daughter. She is very crafty
Barbara Archibald
After hand surgery crafting and weaving is a little hard. Having a smaller loom would allow me to do so much more!
Caroline Lehoux
Congratulations! I learned a lot with your weaving school. I want to experiment with overshot but it takes a long time. Having a second loom will help me do that without preventing me from doing my more functional weaving.
Pat
Congratulations on your 6th birthday! I’d love this little loom to use for practicing the structures I am learning, especially the Krokbragd that I’m learning in your class. Sampling would be easier on this and it would be a great size for taking on vacation. I could take it to visit my niece and teach my great niece how to weave. At seven, she would probably pick right up on weaving, and it would be something she could do for her whole life. So, if you will, leaving my legacy.
Comena Wihlidal
I would definitely love to have the small look to try out new techniques and sample, and to take along with me in the RV!
Marilyn Nishitani
Your the best teacher Kelly!
I found your videos when I first started weaving several years ago and you continue to be my go-to teacher. I recently purchased a 4 shaft floor loom ( who knows how long this learning curve will be). However I know I would not have had the confidence to even attempt this challenge without your priceless teaching. I have 3 regid heddle looms, 25: 15, and 8 in looms so would gift the loom if I were to win. I can’t thank you enough for giving me a new challenge in my golden years, I’m 76 years young! Now my best friend also a big fan of yours and I sell our woven products at the local summer market….doing quit well by the way again thank you
Ann Dawson
Hi Kelly … It’s wonderful to see how well your school is doing! I’ve followed you from waaaay back before your school was formalised and enjoyed so much of what you have had to share. With your generous and supportive approach to teaching, your clarity of instruction and your great creativity, you’ve been an inspiration to not only many beginner weavers, but accomplished ones too, and I’d like to pass on our collective massive appreciation.
As to what I’d do with the ‘baby’/Sampleit loom … We’ve recently had to ‘start again’ … But one thing I DO have is that obsessive hoarder’s share of yarn we weavers all come to know. Another loom would be an extremely handy way to solve two problems … !!
Julie Block
Congratulations on 6 years! I am new to weaving and have so far only woven in a class in a shop. I have taken it several times and keep telling the shop owner that I want to be a weaver when I grow up (I am 58). I would love to have my own loom!! I have always done other things with yarn and I have lots of it!
This a very nice giveaway! Good luck to everyone!!
Morna Dombach
I would love to get this for my friend who wants to start her kids weaving.
Mary Ellen Clark
I would love to have a samplit loom. It would be lovely to teach my grandchildren how to weave on a loom that size wise would not be daunting. Thank you for this generous act.
Chris Love
I’ve been. renting a 16″ Ashford Rigid Heddle from my local Fiber guild and would love to be able to own my very own one! This is a wonderful give away from you! Thank you so much!
Jane Lee
I would like a small loom because it would be easy to travel with and great for smaller projects or when my 24” loom is in use. I’d teach my grandchildren to weave as well. Congratulations Kelly on your 6th anniversary and thank you for bring such an inspiration
Lura Trosssello
I love weaving and it would be great a loom small enough to take with me when I travel. It would also be the perfect loom to teach my granddaughters to weave.
Michele Marshall
Congratulations on the weaving school birthday! Those numbers are a major milestone for you!
I actually have a 10” Sampleit and love it for sampling and small projects. A second one would give me a teaching tool and the option to sample even more for the patterns I’m trying to develop.
Lynne Martel
I have a 32″ loom and having a 10″ loom would be amazing for traveling. It would be so convenient!
Happy 6th!
Sue Barraza
Congrats on 6 years! I have loved all your classes, you have taught me so much on the ridged heddle!
If I were to win a samplette loom I would be able to help others how to weave on it. I have referred many new weavers to check out your YouTube videos so they would be able to weave like a pro you are. Thanks for all you do❤️
Louise
Winning a sample-it loom would enable me to let my son weave with me. At 18 and on his way to art school, he has never really “done the fibre thing”. Sigh. Our schools are struggling. Anyway, happy birthday! I love reading your blog.
Paula Blankenheim
Congratulations on six years! I would love a small loom to take out in public or weave on. When I take my inkle loom out people always stop to ask what I’m doing.
Debbie
Congratulations!! I am a new weaver and have larger ridged heddle looms; but, my grands are intimidated by the size of them. A small loom would be more comfortable for them and we would be able to enjoy the process more. Thank you for the opportunity to win such a lovely gift.
Dana Pehrson
I would love a little Ashford for so many reasons-it seems to be your favorite for one and I’ve only woven on Schacht looms. It would be such a treat to take it on long car rides, and also great to show and teach people about weaving. Thank you for the opportunity and congratulations on 6 years!
Barbara Nevin
Happy 6th Birthday! A Sampleit would be a great size to sample a weave I have “stuck” in my head. It would be a great traveling tool! Thank you for all you do for the weaving community.
Lisa Fedor
Congratulations on six years! I truly enjoy your classes and look forward to learning more. Having a sampleit loom would help me learn card weaving and some smaller projects that I want to work on. I have been demonstrating with my weavers guild and a portable loom would be great. Thank you for all your help on this journey.
Kathleen Christie
You are a wonderful person! I’m still trying to learn my rigid heddle! Have taken a few of your classes – should definitely join! Thank you for all your great posts!
Margaret Ridinger
Congratulations on your 6th anniversary! I am new to weaving and I have fell in love with it! I currently have a 4-shaft loom which is great. If I had a rigid heddle loom the creative possibilities would be endless!
Thank you so much for all the great videos. They have been very helpful in my weaving journey.
Laura E Wingate
What a celebration, congratulations to you for the success you have achieved. You have brought so much joy to so many people by teaching us to weave. The on-line classes are detailed and truly helpful but the videos are amazing, step by step easy to follow. I would love to win the smaller loom, my favorite thing to make is scarves and this loom would allow me to do that and as someone said take it with you when you travel. Always know that each video you work on is bringing us so much joy and helping us achieve a goal.
Mary Ann
Wow! Congratulations! The wonder of a 10″ loom would its mobility. It would be a boon! I would take it along when traveling. When my sister or her granddaughter want to weave, I can set them up on my 24-inch and still have a weaving outlet for myself. I would be able to take my weaving to my mom’s (where I visit every evening). I would use it to sample. I get giddy thinking about the possibilities. Thank you for your generosity.
Gwen Tindill
Congrats on 6 years!
What an accomplishment indeed!
As I’ve mentioned before, if not for you, I would have never been able to start my weaving journey.
I would love this little loom to use when I can’t get to my weaving room due to mobility issues.
I need to sample! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said this after I have attempted to do something rogue and well, it just didn’t work.
Thanks for offering this chance to win but I feel like I won the lottery when I came across you and the weaving school!
Cecelia
I’m New to weaving and find I really enjoy it. I made the plunge and bought a 24″ loom and have made a couple of scarfs. Just as I am getting ready to start New projects my Mother has been in hospital for her heart and I have to travel 1400 miles to take care of her having to leave my loom behind. If I had the small loom I would be able to bring with me and sit with Mom and learn some of the many great things you can do with the loom, practice sample patterns and knokbragd.
Thanks for all your help with the learning experience of using a loom.
Christy
I would love the smaller look for two reasons. One, to be able to take ideas floating around in my head and try then out without risking a large investment. Secondly, I would love to have something I could easily pack along on camping trips to weave in nature easily.
Karsten Sorensen
Congratulations on six years. I have just started to learn weaving. Your videos have been so helpful. I have wanted to learn since I was a young boy and watched a distant relative weave. Winning this loom would allow me to continue to learn while carrying on a family heritage. Wishing you the best in the next six years!
Bertha Alvarez
Congratulations for 6 years of your weaving business. I love watching you weave. If I win this small loom, it would be easy to keep it in my place. I would be so easy to take it with me if I go somewhere if I go outside in the summer to weave.
Elizabeth Toedt
I have an Ashford 24″ loom and have been weaving about a year. I never considered learning to weave until a friend recommended that I learn, to start using up some of the wonderful art yarn I have been spinning. I found your Online Weaving School and uTube channel early on and have used them almost exclusively for patterns, techniques and weaving projects. They are my “Go To” sites” for everything weaving!
I would love to win the 10″ Ashford Samplet! There are many of your smaller projects that would be awkward on a 24″ loom but would be perfect on a 10″.
Happy 6th Anniversary!! It is very kind of you to do this for us!
Suzanne Pratt
Hi Kelly, What a generous offer. I would love to have a this small loom for, wait for it, sampling! I am a new weaver and have so much to learn about color in this medium. Having.a loom for sampling would be a dream and I would love to travel with it as well. And, happy 6th birthday to your school. You’ve done such a good job explaining weaving. I love the classes. I took a leap from corporate work a while an ago and pivoted my career, so I know it can be a lot. Congrats on your success. Best, Suzanne
CD France
It would be small enough that I could use it while recouping from the upcoming surgery. Would also love that it can be taken on short trips unlike my bigger one. Thank you for this opportunity.
Kathy Robinson
My granddaughter is the only other person in my family interested in crafts of any type. She is currently learning to knit. I would love to be able to teach her weaving on her own loom.
Debbie W Williams
Congratulations on 6 years!! You have worked very hard and it has paid off, not just for you but for all of us that love your calming voice and great instructions. I would love to have the loom for when I travel in our RV. Space is precious and taking my 24″ rigid heddle is a very hard item to justify. Have a wonderful day!
Kristin G
Congratulations, Kelly! God is so good!
For me, I’m wanting to give weaving lessons to homeschoolers, but I only have 1 rigid heddle loom and would like to have at least one more. This would be perfect! Thanks for doing the giveaway!
Tracy Ruth Beck
I would use this loom for demonstrations at my Guild and other art events to promote weaving and help others learn to weave. It would be great to have a portable loom.
pami
This little loom would help me to be more creative, cause my big loom takes a lot of time to get started. with the sample it i could try easily and faster new things out what then would motivate me to get started on the big one!
Sharon
Happy birthday! I would love to have a small loom I could take in the car where I spend alot of time. It would be wonderful for making little doll and toy blankets for my grand nieces and nephews. Thank you for all you do!
Linda Hamm
I would love to win a 10” loom. We spend part of our time in NC at the beach at a campground. This would be perfect to travel with instead of my 24” rigid heddle loom.
Jeanne
6 yrs of ❤️ and Soul! Incredibly amazing Kelly!! You have & continue to provide a mode of learning & community to so many wonderful people around the world
Today, something small, portable & useful is more suited to me because of physical incapacitations. The little loom can be a powerhouse weaving & creating small width handwovens or panels but also very useful for preliminary experimentation for design & structure as well as a terrific hands on tool for sharing with new enthusiasts.
Lovely giveaway for such a joyful occasion! Appreciate all you do.
Carla D Boudrot
It would be used as a demo loom when I represent our guild at events!
Jenny Zorens
I have appreciated and learned from your teaching, Kelly, first as a student of your free videos and early-on through the Online Weaving School. In these ways, I enhanced abilities in rigid heddle weaving and later, with your teaching, I learned to weave on a tableloom and a floor loom. Thank you ever so much.
After having worked 35+ years in long term care with elders and people living with disability, I am passionate about helping to
recover meaningful, sustainable skills through weaving to enrich life for those who are institutionalized, isolated and largely alone.
I also would like to re-engage regional weavers, cultivate interest in weaving on a rigid heddle loom, for those no longer able to physically manage bigger looms.
I love to weave, but my passion is in realizing the stories that the cloth comes to tell.
Often these stories reach far back into memory or are rooted in hope of all that is still to come, Bringing beauty to life through the craft of weaving is a way of communion.
A portable Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom would allow me to teach people of all ages that weaving, too, is therapeutic and stands to change life and lives for the better.
Nadine Stacy
I would use this loom to give demonstrations to promote our weavers guild. Also it would allow me to weave more as I could move it from room to room at home rather than having to drive 45 minutes to a weavers studio.
Tynley Bean
I would love to be able to teach my children to weave by doing it side-by-side with them. I also think weaving is so good for their ADHD and mental health.
Kelly Fazekas
For health reasons, I have to spend a lot of time reclined and can’t use the larger looms. The Sampleit would be the perfect size to hold on my lap and weave!
Aimee Mason
Hi Kelly,
First I would like to thank you for all your hard work in your teachings, they have been invaluable to me. I’m new to weaving not even a year in. I saw one of your shawls (Clasped Warp Quechquemitl Wrap) and started off what has become a jump into this rabbit hole of weaving and have loved every minute of it.
I have been a creator of fabrics for about 35years now started with quilting with mom at 6years. (I still have that quilt block). Then knitting and crocheting at age of 10years with my grandma.
I am a grandma of 3 but by the end of summer I will have 5 grandchildren
My oldest granddaughter is 4 but from the time she could walk and get to the yarn she has loved using the yarn packs as a make shift pillow she likes to sort it by colour, stack it, etc… she also wants to play with my crochet hooks and loves watching me weave and can’t keep her fingers off. She loves running her fingers over all the threads on the loom like she’s playing a harp.
I would love to be able to win this small loom to teach her to weave. I can also think of many projects that a small loom would be very useful for.
No matter who wins the giveaway I’m sure they will put this loom to excellent use because I know I would.
Please keep up your work as I hope to continue learning from you for years to come.
Leslie Lineberry
Happy 6th! How exciting. Thank you for the opportunity to try to win this sweet little loom. We live in a quaint small home so it would be very welcome here. Plus, I love the idea of taking it to the mountains camping as it is so portable and teaching my little granddaughter to weave! Best wishes.
Deb Maves
You’ve built an incredible business in just 6 years. Congratulations! I have a Knitter’s loom that I was moving back and forth between my summer and winter homes and decided this year it was too much. A small loom at my summer home, where I have less time to weave, is an option I hadn’t thought about as I figure out what to purchase. Because I’m new to all of this, I’ve also started realizing that sampling is the process, just as sampling in knitting, and a small loom would be just the ticket.
Hazel Frederick
Happy Birthday! You have an amazing website and so talented along with being generous with your help. If I had the Sampleit I would weave more since it wouldn’t be such a big undertaking. Setting up a bigger loom for a small project is so much work and I like to gift many of my smaller weavings. It would also be easier to test a pattern or yarn. Thank you for your generosity.
Diane
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of weaving with so many. Having this loom would give me the ability to try different techniques, to take the loom to different places and find more people who are interested in learning how to weave.
Tamara Hogoboom
Congratulations and happy anniversary! Your lessons and videos have been my go-to resource for weaving help and practice projects. I’ve spent so much time watching and listening that I’ve started to mimic your accent… and I’m from Kansas! A small SampleIt loom would be perfect to throw in a bag and take with me so I can weave while I’m sitting with my mom at the nursing home. Thank you so much for setting up the giveaway.
Pat McDonald
Hi Kelly. A Sampleit would be great for trying all different ideas before committing to a project on the larger loom. Thanks for this opportunity.
Valeda Jennings
Oh my, your generosity is heartfelt. Having a Samplet would increase my creativity, not worrying about wasting yarn and looking at a live sample of what I would like to make. Thank you so very much.
Karen McComb
Congratulations Kelly 🥳 Thank you for offering this generous gift of Joy because this is what weaving has done for me❤️
I just started weaving 1year ago and joined your online school. I’ve learned so much and absolutely love your way of teaching. My Granddaughters are very interested in learning how to weave and I would love to teach them everything I have learned from you.
Pandas Heart
Congratulations, Kelly!
If this wonderful little loom were to come into my lift, it would be used for samples, scarves, and napkins. It would also get to come traveling with me in our RV so that I could weave while on the road.
Vivian Westbrook
Absolutely! I would LOVE to learn rigid heddle weaving on a Sampleit loom. I have been a bit intimidated about purchasing a RHL, so winning one would help me to learn the techniques and decide which loom I might purchase. Plus, I do a lot of traveling, as well at volunteering at fiber festivals, so the Sampleit would be the perfect loom for that. Thank you for the giveaway. Fingers crossed.
Lianne Tanner
A small loom would be perfect to do samples when trying new techniques and developing new skills. It would also help for teaching! It’s portability would be great to take along on trips and to my cottage.
Anita Teigen
I have learned so much from you over the years, Kelly. I live weaving on my larger rigid heddle looms, and would enjoy sampling and experimenting on the 11” version. It would also be fun to be able to teach others to weave on it. Thank you for putting your knowledge and generosity out into the world!
Mike Strickland
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂!
I would love to have this loom to get more advance in my weaving. Only have a little 4inch Beka heddle loom, great for making straps.
The Ashford loom would give me the opportunity to make mini tea towels, scarves and other things like that.
Kelly, I have learned a lot from your YouTube videos. Thank you for everything.
Lianne Tanner
A small loom would be perfect to do samples when trying ne w techniques and develop new skills. It would also help for teaching! It’s portability would also be great to take along on trips and to my cottage.
Terri H
I’ve actually been wanting a 10” Sampleit for a while now. I’d live a loom I can use in bed when I’m too stressed to be up and about using one on a stand. I could make things for family, friends, and myself while calming down and relaxing. Congrats on your six years, Kelly.
ValPaulley
A sampler loom is very portable and would be a real assist in sampling an learning about designs before setting up a warp on my larger loom.
Jo Ann Ratliff
I attended the Birchwood Fiber Festival this weekend and took a class on Rigid Heddle Patterns. It was fun and a great hands on experience. By using this Sampleit, I can practice a new technique prior to warping my larger Rigid Heddle. Perfect for my needs at this time!
Kristin Maguire
Hooray for six years of explorations, explanations, and demonstrations! Your careful investigation of weaving and empathetic teaching empower and encourage many a fainthearted of forgetful weaver!
An Ashford Sampleit 10″ Rigid Heddle Loom would be a wonderful tool for teaching my nieces to weave. “Just my size!” is desired by them in everything. The smaller scale would allow then to start at my house and then easily take it home with them. They would also be able to make gifts for family members.
Cecilia Zylik
Congratulations on a wonderful online school! I am new to weaving and the 10 inch sampleit would be great to have to learn weaving and new techniques or sample new yarns and to play with color. It is also very portable, so that I can take it when I travel and show family members what can be achieved with a loom.
Dee Vandervoort
Congratulations on your 6th year and counting♥️ Many thanks too, for all you’ve taught me over many years. When I first started weaving, I was doing it completely on my own. I didn’t know anyone who was a weaver, so there was no one to ask questions of. But there was YouTube and I found YOU. Thank heavens. Since then, I like to think I’ve become a lot more proficient and I owe it all to you. As for the cute little samplit, I would love to be able to FINALLY try an Ashford loom. My loom is made by by another manufacturer. 😉
Thank you Kelly
Mara Smith
Lately I have been thinking a lot about my family, our roots, and the weaving/fiber arts of the Slavic countries that my great grandparents came from. I would love to use a small loom to work on my hand manipulation techniques in a manageable way to explore difference methods, designs, techniques and wool/fiber types. There is so much knowledge and meaning in design and patterning and I want to work on it all day long!
Leslie Sanchez
Congratulations on hitting the 6 year mark! I only discovered you a couple of months ago, but you have made weaving accessible! Everywhere else just confused me! I don’t even have anything to weave with yet, but would be excited to finally try on this loom. Whether I win or not, I plan to get something soon to finally get started! Here’s to another fantastic 6 years for you!
Leann
I would love this as an entry level loom as well as a loom to sample patterns and ideas on. I have friends that would like to give weaving a go, and I’d love to share it and give them a chance to try their and at weaving. (and after have a small group to weave with FUN!)
Karen Cantwell
Congrats on six years! This small loom would be perfect for camping. Thank you for the opportunity.
Meredith Yarbrough
If I won that I would use it to teach my 11 yo daughter. I already have a 10″ SampleIt but a second one would allow us to weave our own project but together.
Lisa Macmillan
Oh wow, 6 already. Congratulations.
I’d love to win this Sampleit loom. Initially I would use it to mess around with colours and patterns. Being small I’d be able to easily reach the back to use heddle rods too, so I could test and try out more complicated patterns. I have a dream of being able to facilitate or help run workshops, and this would be ideal for that kind of use too. Thank you for such a great giveaway and fingers crossed.
Belinda
Hi Kelly!
Happy 6th Anniversary. I have been watching your You Tube videos for a few years and I just enrolled in a couple of your courses. I love your teaching style. You are so patient and clear with your directions and you always share your special tips. If I won the Ashford Samplit loom, I would use it for teaching. I volunteer in my community, teaching various fiber arts lessons, such as: spinning, knitting, crochet, etc. I have been wanting to add weaving to my courses and this loom would give me a chance to practice new techniques that I can share with others.
Gerd
small loom would help me do weaving outside in the garden.
Denise Devereux
I would love to have a little loom to do samples with & to eventually give to my granddaughter.
Frieda Underwood
Hi Kelly! What an awesome achievement and Happy Birthday to the online weaving school. The school has meant so much to me in my weaving journey and I appreciate all that you offer. Your generosity is staggering, both in terms of the time you provide to the school and your students as well as this loom giveaway. I would love to have a small loom that would allow me to weave while I travel. It would also be lovely to be able to put on a small warp and sample different yarns and patterns before warping up the larger loom. Thanks again for all that you do to make this weaving journey successful.
Libby Hitchcock
What a wonderful way to celebrate your anniversary! I have just come back to weaving and found I enjoy making smaller projects such as mug rugs and wall hangings that I weave up with no plan in mind. A smaller loom is perfect for this. and on days when not feeling as well, a smaller loom would be much easier to handle. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and passion with us!
Rachel
I’d love a small loom for sampling and something to teach my kids to weave on.
Nancy Goodspeed
A samplet loom is something that would help introduce my granddaughter to weaving—a perfect size for a soon-to-be 9 year old who is already interested in my table loom.
Thanks Kelly
Stuart Smith
I think having a small loom would be a wonderful inspiration to make scarves for children in need while allowing my loom to be used for my projects. I enjoy making and donating hats and blankets for babies so why not woven scarves for older children?
Jessica Egmont
Thanks for such a great giveaway opportunity! I would love to win the sample it loom to begin my journey in weaving. Sounds like the perfect starter kit that allows you to continue on to more advanced projects. It’s great that it’s small so it could live on the kitchen table as I work on a project or be able to take it with me, outdoors or in a trip! I would find it less intimidating as a beginner and it would help me focus on the the other aspects of weaving than staring at a huge intimidating loom. I’m really hoping to progress in weaving and someday have a larger loom but I have to start somewhere. I’m ready to get started! Thank you!
Angela Belyea
A small portable loom would allow me to take weaving with me everywhere I go. Currently knitting fits that spot, as it’s easy to take along.
Thsnk you Kelly for all you have to accomplished in six years to inspire and grow the weaving community.
Sonia Eakins
Happy 6th birthday! Im taking your weaving courses and learning so much. I love to take my crafts with me when I travel so I would really enjoy a 10” for its portability. Not only would it allow me to weave while traveling but I could take it with me when I travel to see my grandchildren who live over 2;000 miles away and teach them to weave.
Beth Benson
I would sample before jumping into larger projects – sometimes surprises are nice, but I would rather know what I’m doing before I start!
thank you for the great classes and information!
Allison Martinson
Kelly always talks about sampling! Currently I do not have a small RH for sampling projects. I would love to have a SampleIt for that purpose – especially when practicing supplemental weft patterns.
Susan L Detillio
Happy 6th birthday! I have an Ashford 24″ RHL. A 10″ would give me more freedom to take my weaving on trips and to meetings, gatherings, etc. Then I can teach my friends about weaving. They are always amazed at what I can create…. creating awareness in weaving is so important! Once my twin grandsons are old enough I can teach them about weaving also…. I will also use it for sampling new ideas, weaves, etc. Lastly, I can loan it out to friends of the want to try it…. thank you for doing this generous giveaway! I love your work.
Jane Henderson
Happy 6th! I have a floor rigid heddle loom, and you have taught me everything I know about weaving on it. Thanks for some seriously useful tips along the way! I would enjoy a loom that can travel with me.
Thanks again for being you and sharing your skill and personal info!
Monica C.
Congratulations, Kelly!
I would love to win the Samplet Loom – I’m a library trustee and a member of one of their craft clubs. One of the other members recently received a loom and I’m helping her start up with it. Our library lends out all kinds of things, so why not a portable loom? This would encourage those who don’t want to buy to try first.
Thank you!
Anje
Happy 6th anniversary Kelly !
And thank you for all the knowledge you share with us 😍.
Mmm, what I would do with a SampleIt ; take it everywhere and anywhere and I should probably use it to do samples, but that is not how I work usually, but should 😉.
Mary K Schnell
I own a rigid Heddle loom, and recently purchased an inkle loom. This loom would complete the set! I could make small pieces, or samples, I could incorporate all three and make really interesting items and clothing. There are many possibilities for sure! Congratulations on a successful business!!!
Sharon Austin
Congratulations on the anniversary Kelly! I have been a knitter for decades and love love love collecting beautiful fiber! As the collection grew I realized that I wasn’t knitting much of it, in part because I was spending so much time caring for my husband. He had Parkinson’s and it was starting to get bad. I had always wanted to learn to weave, and the rigid heddle was affordable and portable, so I bought a 36” Kromski, thinking that weaving was something I could do when I had quiet time. Warping wasn’t hard, just time consuming, and I had that when he napped. But even if I warped only 15” or so what I wove was awful. The width of the piece kept getting narrower and no matter what I tried I couldn’t make anything that looked right. I threw away a lot of tapered pieces… After my husband died 3 years ago I couldn’t face the disappointment of looking at the tapering work I was producing, so I quit trying.. The loom has sat untouched for 3 years, and I have thought of giving up completely and selling it. Maybe, if I was the lucky winner of this wonderful gift you are sharing, working on a much smaller loom would make it easier to learn how to properly get the results I want – woven fabric as wide at the ends as in the middle of the piece! I hope against hope that my name might be the one you draw on the 19th!
Sharon L Vail
A small loom would make a great teaching tool while at bazaars or small gatherings. I can set it up with my larger looms to let others practice and show how easy and fun it is to weave.
Debbie Wethington
What would I do with this loom? That’s easy, I would present it to my granddaughter! When I’m making something on my loom she is right there beside me. Her little fingers are just itching to do something. With the technology today I am so glad to see her out down her iPad and want to do something like this. Congratulations on your school turning 6. I enjoy your lessons. So clear and precise. Thank you!
Leslie Voigt
I am not leaving a comment to hopefully win but more to say how your classes have taught me so much. I’ve saved everyone of your emails so I can go back. Thank you for taking the leap. My dream is to pay it forward and teach others one day a samplitt loom would be the perfect size to start teaching my grandson who is always asking for one Thank you for all you do.
Holly Younger
Small looms are so incredibly handy for sampling a weave. I think an Ashford Sampleit would be perfect just for that, not to mention other endless possibilities. Thank you for the opportunity to win this great little loom, and thank you for the on line school. That has helped me so much in my weaving journey.
Katherine
Happy 6th birthday. I have been enjoying the emails I get. The samples Ashford samples loom would allow me to really to be able to try out some of the harder patterns because it can hold two heddles. Right now I only have a cricket loom and trying to do over shot patterns is much harder with only one heddle.
Véronique
Thank you for this generous contest!
If I would win, I would use it to practice my patterns and to make smaller pieces than I’m used to.
Karen Poe
I would love the little loom! We are on the road a lot and how awesome would this be to take it along! I love weaving!
Carole Bournias
I would love to win the small Sample It loom! I’ve been following you and weaving for a couple of years now, but I still have so much trouble picking colors and seeing how they interact. The small loom would let me try different color combos without wasting yards of yarn…also would be easier to try indirect & hybrid warping (which so far has been a nightmare I wouldn’t try again on my larger loom!).
I never win anything, but I’m still hoping & praying!
Lindsay
It would be lovely to have something small enough to pop in a suitcase and take with me… thank you for this generous offer…
Christine Zeitler
Hello Kelly, Congratulations on six years! I work as a programming librarian and the Ashford Sample it loom would be an amazing start to our item lending library, bringing weaving to people of all walks of life that may not be able to afford the first step of purchasing a loom! Thank you for offering this amazing giveaway, I always look forward to learning what you are up to!
Nicole Merkle
My husband was transferes to another state by his employer so we are now living in separate states. I would love this small loom to pack up when I go to visit him. I also want to teach my granddaughters how to weave and this would be a great starting loom for them. I make a lot of scarves so it would get a lot of use
Brenda Neidlinger
Happy 6th birthday!
I would like to teach my 9 year old granddaughter to weave. I have a baby wolf which is too overwhelming for her. She’s very “crafty” and always interested in what I’m weaving.
Robin Enloe
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!🎂. I would love this little loom. I have a church group that would love to learn to weave. They have mentioned it to me when they came over for a social because they see my knitters loom sitting out with a project on it most of the time. There are 5 ladies in my group, and I just purchased a 2nd loom so this one would diffently come in handy to teach them. Also, thank you so much for your classes. I just started weaving myself in December and have used your classes and your YouTube channel to help me.
God Bless,
Robin
Pia Thadani
I only have 4 shaft looms that take a long time to dress and have a lot of loom waste. I’d love to try a rigid heddle, This one is nice and compact, and looks like it would be great for workshops, sampling, and smaller projects.
Courtney Cross
Having a little loom would help me get back into weaving! I have a 48 in ridgid heddle loom and a 3 yr old. My large loom does not allow for portability or much flexibility with my weaving currently. If I could take my weaving around with me I would be able to find more time to weave currently with my busy schedule.
Valentina
Congratulations for these years. I am grateful for the teachings and love you have showed. If I won this small loom I could weave samples more easily, I could also take ut with me when we move to the country and something very important I could tesch my daughter how to weave without waiting to finish what I am weaving on my other loom. Thank you very much.
Helen L Ashenfelter
I would gift this to a friend- Libby- who would like to learn to weave but feels she can’t invest in the loom. She makes things for a local shop who gives to worthy causes in our area!
Tracy Dally
I would use the Sampliet loom to try new techniques, structures, and colorways before using my larger Ashford Rigid Heddle loom. The size is perfect for making scarves that I would be able to make for donations for those in need. Thank you for gifting such a,great prize to one lucky winner. Congratulations on six years!
Kris Burlingame
Hi, I started weaving 2 months ago and found that I truly enjoy the process. It’s very Zen-like for me. 🙂 I was given an off brand loom that was broken and was able to patch it up enough to use it. It’s rickety, has a bit of a sway to it and I have trouble keeping the tension even, but Ihave been able to weave a couple of table runners. And then I found your school, YAY!!! All that being said, if I were to win the Samplet Loom I would be able to practice better to get my edges more consistent and maybe someday be able to create something that I could hand down to my grandchildren.
Paola
I am not a lucky person so it is just good I did buy an Ashford sampleit few weeks ago, I did it after looking at your helpful videos and after have experimented how it was difficult to predict matching colors and threads crossing results just with imagination. I own an Ashford 32′ RHL and the little samleit really made the difference, I always test everything beofre taking any decision.
Anyway in case I am chose I may swap for a membership spot in your school..???
It worths a try 😀
Juanita Smith
Congratulations! You have taught me to weave from the beginning. Your videos are excellent. This loom has been on my wish list. It looks perfect in size and I can travel with it. Thanks for the giveaway ❤️
Liv Mari Nesje
With the Sample-It it would be easier to – yes – sample… 🙂 I miss an easy possibility to test out different colors together, or different methods and textures. I have a Knitter’s Loom 50 cm wide today, not exactly the largest, but since I have no separate room for my hobbies, I have to store everything away between projects, or other persons in the household would be complaining that my stuff is on the run again). The result is then, that it takes more to go to the store room under the steps do dig out my loom with all its utensils, only to try out something. A little loom like the Sample-It would, as far as I can see, make that easier 🙂
Rhonda Waites
I appreciate all of the work you have put into creating such wonderful content for us who are new at weaving. I’m So I’m love with the entire process! I didn’t really think I would want to create samples
Before committing to a larger version of a new project, but now I see the value as well as the need – there is so much to learn and I want to learn it all! I’d also love to own a smaller version of my 24” Ashford rigid heddle loom so that I can entice my creative granddaughters into this wonderful world of weaving. Thank you for the opportunity!
Christine chongo
Happy birthday 🎉 this would be the perfect little loom to teach my granddaughter how to weave. I also love making purses and small bags and this small loom would be perfect.
Vickie
Hi Kelly,
Love all your posts and videos and designs! I would use this darling little loom to carry with me to historical craft demonstrations that I participate in regularly at museums and festivals around my area of Virginia, USA!
God bless you and your family!
Tracy Skates
Owning a 10″ loom would allow me to do samples of my big projects and to do mug rugs and learn new techniques using less fibre…and keep my big loom from being tied up.. I also want to try inkle style on a small rigid heddle to make collars for our goats
Cindi Miceli
I am a new weaver and started weaving to help relieve the stress of dealing with a full time job, going to school to get my masters degree, and my husband’s failing health. A new loom like that would allow me the ability to weave whenever and wherever I needed to be to take care of my husband and still stay sane.
Rosemary McNamara
Happy Anniversary! What an amazing accomplishment to bring the joy of weaving and your incredible knowledge to so many for so long💕
A sampleit will allow me to take my weaving to the next level. I would really be able to exolore new ideas and techniques in a stress free way! I also can see myself being able to take my weaving when I get my IVIG infusions at Johns Hopkins. I usually bring my knitting to pass the time…I spend 4 days there every 6 weeks and I always use my art to make it a more fun experience and bring me joy. The smaller size would make it easier to do.
I can also see it as a perfect way to try out color combinations before I commit to my larger loom. How wonderful would that be!
Kelly I have learned so much from you and have grown as a weaver through your school. I appreciate all of your encouragement and helpfulness whenever I have questions. You have created a true community here.
LaDonn Jonsen
Congratulations on 6 yrs of hard earned success Kelly! I was an early member and you have grown so much as a person and business leader!
If I won the Samplette Loom I would be able to do proper samples… currently I am using very small hand looms – which is pretty limiting.
Whoever wins the loom will be very appreciative- good luck 🍀 to all who enter.
Nynke Wiersma
Hi Kelly,
Your weaving instructions helped me a lot in my weaving adventure. You could say I am addicted to my RH and this is also spreading to some of my friends. it would be really great to have an SampleIT loom, because than I can teach friends around me how to weave on a RH. So we can say to each other, like you always say “Happy weaving”
Nynke
Diane Hackett Carlton
Your website and school is very helpful as I expand my weaving skills. I belong to a knit group which is actually a fiber arts group. I sometimes take my small spinning wheel and I also find myself wishing for a small loom to weave on during that gathering. Additionally I am recovering from a brain injury and small weaving projects would help my cognitive recovery. Hoping you have many more successful years and that you don’t go away. Happy Birhday!
Susie Hewer
Wow Kelly, what an epic milestone and just think of all the people you’ve helped along the way, me included!
I would love to win the Samplett loom as I’m getting more confident and would like to experiment further and it would be a great way to test out new ideas. I’m especially interested in trying out Florentine embroidery patterns as I love their rhythmic pattern repeats.
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials and for explaining everything so well..
Susan Johnson
Congratulations Kelly! Sharing your journey as you go has been wonderful.
I would love a smaller loom to be able to take with and share with friends the joy of weaving.
Jennifer Puett
I am interested in learning more intricate designs using finer yarns. I have lesson and books, but need a smaller work area to develop the project. I want more decorative elements, and feel this more intimate size would provide a better canvas.
Debra Johnson
Love your online school. I would use your samplet to sample for bigger projects on my 36” rigid heddle
Jane
What an accomplishment to have grown your school to 6 years, Kelly! As a novice weaverI appreciate your generosity in providing free videos and information for when I am having a “duh” moment in planning, warping or weaving! The Samplet giveaway is a lovely gesture. I just rented and flew 10,000 miles with a larger Ashford in order to share some of the joy of creation with my mother. She has dementia, but had been a quilter and knitter and I knew she would enjoy getting her hands on fiber again. I’m planning on using your plaid posting so she can participate in weaving towels for one of my sisters new home. It would be lovely to have the Samplet to travel with when I come to care for her again.
Kimberlyn Curtis
Yay and congrats for 6 years! How exciting 🙂
The little rigid heddle loom would help my because I’m brand new to weaving, and so many patterns that look really neat always end up being for a rigid heddle and not the table loom I’m trying to learn on, haha. I also like that they’re easy to transport, so it may be helpful if I find a local group of weavers that I could take my loom with me and meet new people.
Karen Gallo
What a great prize!!! This is perfect for samples and for narrow scarves! Easy to take a project along with!! Would absolutely love this loom!
Lyn Dorman
I am a very new weaver. The small loom would allow me to do something akin to a gauge swatch in knitting. I would find out if I liked the yarn, texture and overall appearance. That would save time and make weaving more enjoyable.
Annie Shattuck
Congratulations, Kelly, and Happy Birthday to the weaving school! In such a short time frame, you’ve become a household name amongst weavers (every weaver I’ve spoken to has recommended your classes). For what it’s worth, this internet stranger is proud of you, and I’m grateful for the help you’ve given us!
I started weaving recently following a few really difficult years and an intense struggle with resulting depression. I lost all energy to even function on a basic level and spent most of the last couple of years in bed. Thanks to the birth of my son last summer, I’ve started doing better and picked up weaving as an emotional outlet. It’s the first thing I’ve been truly excited about and that has given me some creative energy in a very long time, so it’s become a symbol of my progress mentally as well as creatively. There have been so many people who supported me during the time I was struggling, and I’ve been using my weaving as a way to give something back to them and to show that I’m doing ok now. Having a second loom would mean I could maximize the little time I have to work (I AM still a new mom!) and would mean I could practice new techniques without halting the creation of my “Thank You” pieces. The small loom would also mean I could keep up with my mental outlet when I travel to see my family, and I’d be able to take it with me to teach a few other local moms who are in similar situations to my own.
Thank you for being so generous with your time and resources. I hope these comments show you a glimpse of the impact you’ve made through your teaching!
Godelieve Georges
Congratulations on the anniversary of your Weaving school!
I am a new weaver and now use a 70 cm knitters-loom. This is good for larger projects. Since I sometimes dare to make a mistake or two, which I can always solve thanks to your tutorials, I think a smaller loom is more suitable for trying out new things. Moreover , my daughter, who recently gave birth to her first child, a boy named Otis, has her birthday on May 19, so I feel even more hopeful to win.
Tracey
6 years is a big deal, as is your giveaway!
As a beginner weaver, I feel somewhat intimidated at times on even a tabletop loom. Sometimes I wonder if I jumped in too deep by starting with a 20″ Rigid Head Loom. Winning the smaller loom, might ease some of my anxiety and keep me motivated to learn more than I am currently.
Jeanette Kettlewell
Happy 6th birthday to the weaving school! I am VERY left-brained, so the math part of weaving is not a problem for me – colors are! I do not have an eye for color, or design, really. Having the 10″ SampleIt loom would allow me to try out different colors and types of yarn before committing to a full-scale weave. Best wishes for the continued success of the weaving school. The From Woe to Go class was a wonderful start for me.
Brown Carol
Happy 6th Anniversary, Kelly.
I’ve worked in special education my entire career. I have always envisioned using weaving looms to help with planning, following directions, patience in waiting for desired reward, fine motor skills, etc. This would be an awesome tool to use in the school setting! Thank you for your generosity!
Nancy Worsinger
Congratulations on six years of the weaving school! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your online classes. I’ve been weaving for about 2 years, starting with a 32″ rigid heddle and then a 24″ 4 shaft table loom. However – my husband retires this year and going forward we will be spending weeks at at time living aboard our 36 ft motor yacht and my looms are too big to bring along! I defininitely NEED a smaller loom if I am to weave while we cruise our way up and down the east coast of the U.S.!
Diane Wild
Congratulations on your remarkable weaving school success. I tend not to sample as much as I should because there is usually a WIP on the other loom(s). This little loom would be the perfect solution to future project ideas.
Stacey Matthews
Congrats on 6yrs. You haveclear instructions and your videos are wonderful. I was so frustrated and found I just need to change who I learn from and for whatever reason I ended up clicking on yours as I was clicking out and now I love my loom. The smaller loom would help me bc it would be lighter and easier to take with me.
Paula Kirk
Wheeeeee! A loom I can take with me! I’d weave in public, I’d weave in my front yard, I’d weave at church during get togethers. I’d weave. In the car during LONG drive home from church. And I’d stop wasting yarn on my bigger loom when I’d like to do a small project.
Beth Skroban
Congratulations on your 6th year anniversary of your online weaving school. I have been a student for 2 years now and have loved it, learned so much. This year at my granddaughter’s homeschool co-op I taught a fiber class. We did some needle felting, wet felting, and, of course, weaving on a cardboard loom and also on a Harrisville Easy Weaver that I had converted to make it a rigid heddle loom. I had one easy weaver from when my boys were little and bought another from eBay, had them both converted to rigid heddle looms. My granddaughter loved the class and would so enjoy her own loom. Winning a sampleit loom for her would be awesome. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Kim Burow
Happy 6th Anniversary Kelly.I would love to win the Sampliet loom as it would be small and light enough to take it away with me in our caravan and continue my addiction with weaving even when traveling on holidays. Thank you for all the help, ideas and wonderful online tuition. I’ve learnt so much and love learning new methods, receiving the encouragement and suggestions of fellow Casanova members plus the bonus of seeing other peoples projects. May your online school continue for many more years to come.
Peggy White
I would love a small loom that I could leave out and practice/play with. I took the plunge and bought an Ashford 24″ loom because I knew that if I loved it I would regret not doing it (I know my shopping habits pretty well after 67 years!). I love it, but it is not really suited to practicing/experimenting. It would be wonderful to have something smaller that’s quicker to warp that I could use for learning.
It would also be wonderful if I could come up with something really profound but that’s beyond me right now. After 3 years (three!) I tested positive for Covid Friday and since my husband of 38+ plus years and I share everything he tested positive yesterday. At least we don’t have to isolate from each other! I’ve got a couple of classes I haven’t started (tote bag, 2 heddles, and log cabin table runner) and thought of starting the tote bag, but setting up the 24″ loom is just beyond me right now as well. Maybe in a day or 2. 🙂
So happy I found you on YouTube when I got started – your videos are amazing!
Michelle Schuettke
Congratulations on 6 years! I love your weaving school and am learning so much from you. I recently retired from teaching after 30 years in a Montessori school and would love to go back and demonstrate weaving for the children and show how cloth is made. The SampleIt is so small and portable it would be great to travel with too!
Frei Douglas
Your videos saved my sanity during lockdown when I first started weaving…thankyou so much for your inspirational teaching. Having a sampleit loom would allow me to take a loom with me on my cottage holidays and also to try out new things without warping up the larger loom
Ashley Turner
I am so excited for you! I know what it means to grow something from the ground up! I’m a military spouse of 17 years with two kids. I started my yarn dying business 9 years ago. It has helped me provide for my kiddos with their dreams and aspirations. I have been able to teach countless military spouses how to knit over the years. I do this for free to give back to our community. I started a spouses fiber arts group for our current base in Ohio. With this loom I hope to add weaving to classes I can teach! Thank you so much for your consideration and congratulations again.
Jean Allen
Happy birthday to your wonderful weaving website. I have enrolled in a bunch of your classes. Now I just need to make the time to take them! My 26 year old daughter is moving out in a couple of months and I would love to gift her an Ashford small loom. She double majored in Craft and Material Studies and Graphic Design. She wove some beautiful pieces while in college. It would be awesome for her to continue her craft once she has her own place. Thank you for this generous offer!
Vickie Litterell
I travel a lot to Alabama and Ohio (6-10 hours away), to help do things for my sister who is an Army Veteran that is a double amputee, and to help take care of grand babies when my daughter needs someone. This loom would be awesome to pop in a bag and go! I want to try out so many techniques and this would be the perfect size loom to do them on.
Kathy english
Congratulations on your anniversary!!
I’ve learned so much from your school!
Winning would be amazing – a great loom for me to take camping 😊
Tammi Mannix
A BIG congratulations on your 6 years! If I were fortunate enough to win it would be a gift to my Dad. He often talks about watching his Mom ( my gram) weave on her rug loom when he was young. My Dad is now mostly immobile and after living a very active life is feeling frustrated and depressed. Other than me helping him to warp, I think he would enjoy sitting and weaving on a small portable loom. Wishing everyone luck on their entries and thank you Kelly for your generous give away and wonderful weaving school!
Ann Frederick
Congratulations Kelly on your success! We so appreciate all the hard work you put into providing all the wonderful classes for us. Thank you for the chance to win such a lovely prize. It would be great for traveling and also make sampling easier.
Barbara Struve
Congratulations on growing your weaving school into the “go to” resource for weaving education. Your classes are clear, concise and detailed. You can be very proud of how many budding weavers you have helped. Having a SampleIt loom would allow me to take a loom with me when I travel as well as encouraging me to sample which is something that I don’t do as often as I should.
Delia Palin
I’d be able to weave when we go on holiday. I suffer withdrawal symptoms. Lol
Kathy Rust
I always enjoy getting your emails with all the fun things you do. It would be great to add the little loom to our home. as it would give me a chance to teach 2 of our granddaughters how to weave . they want to learn and it would be a great way to teach them. Good luck to whoever wins.
Mary L Bergland
This loom would help me learn things like using a pick up stick , or color sampling ….using different fibers together ……without committing to a large project !
Bev Warner
Congratulations on 6 years! That is quite a milestone.
As far as the little loom… The best reason is it would bring joy! That, and allow me to learn new techniques without loading up my 48″ loom. Can’t think of anything better to add the fiber studio.
Nancy
Im a newer weaver that has been make ng rugs. I’ve watched some videos and now I would love to weave smaller projects, like kitchen towels. I don’t have a Ridgid heddle loom, it’s on my list.
Dianna Wassell
I am a teacher and would like to start a fiber arts club at my school. I have no budget, so gathering equipment is my first hurdle. This loom would be amazing!
Jan Olliver
I’m so very new to weaving have only made one very small plan weave item and very excited to progress my learning so at the moment I’m doing lots of research! I’m planning on enrolling in your yearly class membership and the samplate liom will make learning and exploring different technical on a smaller scale extremely valuable!
Andrew
Kelly, congratulations on reaching this incredible 6-year milestone with the Online Weaving School! It’s truly inspiring to see the passion and dedication you’ve poured into creating such a thriving community.
Winning the Sampleit loom would be life-changing for me as an aspiring weaver. I have always been drawn to the textures, patterns, and colors that come together in the art of weaving. Having the chance to own this loom would not only enable me to explore my creativity and develop my skills, but also allow me to connect with the wonderful community you’ve fostered.
As an advocate for sustainable living and using handmade items, I envision creating beautiful, functional pieces that I could share with my loved ones and community, promoting the values of craftsmanship and sustainability. The Sampleit loom would be the perfect tool to begin this journey, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway. Happy 6th birthday to the Online Weaving School, and here’s to many more years of growth and success! 🎉
Judith L Phillips
Congratulations on six years, Kelly. You’ve accomplished a lot in that time. When I decided to get into weaving a few years ago, your videos were invaluable to get me started. I bought a 32″ Kromski loom because I hoped it would be the most versatile, But I’d really love something smaller for quick, portable projects and trying out new ideas before warping the larger loom. It would be a great little study loom. Thanks for the opportunity and good luck to everyone!
Vicki
Congratulations on 6 Years! That is amazing!
Winning the small loom would allow me to work on smaller projects and would be portable to take along with me on road trips
Angela Knisely-Marpole
Happy 6th Birthday!! I’d take the loom in my motorhome so i could weave in an evening while helping out on archaeological digs!
Leonie Cochrane
Hi Kelly, Congratulations on your 6th Happy Birthday. You have no idea how much you have helped me over the last 6 years.
I always add extra warp to sample on. But you have to wait till the project you are working on is finnished before you can work on it and by the time I get to it. I have usually thought of my next project which doesn’t always work out on the left over warp. The samplet loom would be just perfect to test out the samples for the next projects. And It would be so much easier to make all sorts of small projects instead of trying to make small things on my 120cm Ridgid headle loom.
I would so love to win the samplet loom Because I would never be able to justify buying one, it would be such a luxury.
Love Leonie 💗
Gail Nagy
Thank you for your generosity in offering this chance at a RH loom. It would definitely come in handy for smaller projects while traveling in my small RV. A chance to spark conversation in weaving interest while I travel! So many possibilities… 🙂
Hannah Nolt
How lovely! Congratulations on your milestone and thank you for your excellent work. It would be so nice to own a small portable loom that could travel with me!
Valérie Bisson
I would like to have such a small loom to practice techniques and patterns, and it would be nice to take it outside on sunny days to weave in the garden.
Kyke
This loom would be so fantastic for making samplers, practicing new techniques, and keeping small portable projects on the go
Lynn Douglas
Such a generous competition. If I won it would be so useful t o have a portable loom. The other real plus is my granddaughter wants to learn to weave and it would be an ideal size to teach her and start to enthuse a next generation .
Andrea Brancato
It’s so portable.
Sheryl Kessler
Congratulations on six years and thank you for providing the instruction and inspiration you have! Someone in my Guild recommended your website to me and I have been enjoying your posts and videos. My husband and I travel to his hometown in Italy for three weeks and I take fiber supplies to work on my textile practice while he spends time with friends and family during the day (my choice). The people at the cafe are always fascinated with what I bring with me to work on in the evenings as they are the crafts of their grandparents. I would love to bring a small rigid heddle with me to use that time to really learn the RH but my 16” Kromski will be too cumbersome to travel with. Thank you for the giveaway.
Ashley Dell
Winning this lovely little loom would make it so much easier to take my weaving with me wherever I go.
Barbara
Six years of hard work and determination have brought you success. Think of how many would-be weavers your lessons have touched Education is a gift that keeps giving, its dividends are endless. Congratulations. A small loom affords me portability. I could see myself weaving in peaceful and serene locations. Possibly in the car, as someone else drives, lol. It would help me expose others to this enjoyable and skilled craft. It is a perfect format for teaching my grandchildren so they can share our passion. As I age, my fingers are less agile. Moving a shuttle incurs less arthritic pain than knitting, so weaving has become my creative outlet. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I feel privileged to have shared your creative gifts
Cindy Christensen
You have been a great resource for me in my weaving journey. I would have never have gotten started without your videos. I would love a smaller loom to practice new techniques and use when traveling. Thank you for all you do for weavers around the world.
Vickie Lyon
What a dream! I have a child’s size loom, and I’m loving it, but to have a REAL loom, especially this one, would just be amazing! It takes a bit of time and hand strength on my little loom. Thanks for the chance, and for all you do for us!
Susan Warren Nadolski
The lovely little Ashford sampleit would let me take a loom on my travels! It would also be super for teaching others to weave and join our merry band! 😊
Marilyn I Gazeley
Congratulations, Kelly. I don’t sample and I know I should – I hate to waste yarn. So with the 10″ I would sample – colours, patterns. I would also like to try small tapestries.
Cindy Megrey
I have a 24” Ashford Rigid Heddle that I love but when I want to make a sample I use it for sampling so a little loom like this little loom would be a great asset.
Deborah Temple
I would love this smaller loom so that I can more easily weave as it is more portable throughout my small apartment. It is hard to weave on my 24 inch as I don’t have room for a stand so don’t weave much anymore. This smaller one is perfect. My big loom is cumbersome.
Elizabeth Squirrell
Congratulations on the Weaving School’s 6th birthday!
I would love to win the Sampleit loom. I am a lifetime knitter/crocheter and learned to spin and weave later. I would really enjoy being able to sample my handspun and various other yarns on a small rigid heddle loom. It would also be perfect for trying new techniques and patterns, and for creating beautiful woven fabrics to be used in various ways. There is so much to learn and having a loom of this size would be perfect for discovering new ways to weave!
The size of this loom would be perfect for travel and to be able to take with me when I visit my sons and my Mum. I know she would be fascinated to see it too. (And perhaps she could pick weaving up as a hobby as well! She’s amazing with her knitting, crochet and embroidery)
Sarah
The small loom would be ideal for scarves and narrow projects. I’m new to weaving and I’ve been secretly wanting one. Thank you for your amazing instructions and videos.
Elsa Flego
How glad I am you ever made rhat leap of faith!! And how blessed I was to happen on you while browsing for weaving tips and lessons!
I wish your / « our » school many many years of all it offers and serves!

Hi Kelly,
Thanks so much for your content and easy access to it. To win the loom would be an amazing opportunity for me. I 3D printed a RHL that I have been playing on but obviously my home print quality doesn’t match the finish of an Ashford and I’d love to see if the tensioning issues I’m having is my loom or if it’s my learning curve. Thanks again for all your free content and the affordable price point of your other etsy and learn able content.
Pauline Mulrooney
I have one of these great looms so if I win it I would love to gift it to a friend to encourage them to start their weaving journey.
Susan OlHern
A smaller loom would be easiest to travel with. I’m still a new year at this and I would love to have something small to practice on. I feel like I waste a lot of yarn. Congratulations on your 6 years. Thank you for all I have learned from you..
Sue
Helen
I live in a retirement village and there are no weavers nearby. I would love to get others interested in weaving and having a small and very portable loom would be great to take with me to shoe how exciting and rewarding weaving can be.
Wendy Scheening
Congratulations on 6 years. That is awesome. If I were to win the little loom, I would take it to our family camp where I am spreading a love of weaving and crafting to my grandnieces and grandnephews. What an adventure that is. The time we spend together as an extended family (I was never able to have my own children) is precious, and our love of crafts is part of the glue that binds us.
Valissa Clarke
I’m relatively new to weaving and of course went out and bought the largest loom I could find, thinking I would be able to do anything with it. I have since learned that isn’t really the case and that your loom should meet the needs of your project. This sampleit loom would help me so much in learning good technique and then maybe I could produce something that wasn’t a complete disaster 🙂
Loretta
Oh my gosh, I have “secretly” been looking to obtain a used Sampleit loom. Wow, winning one would be such a relief. Kelly, since I’ve known you, you’ve inspired my purchase of two rigid heddles and one Baby Wolf Floor Loom. We live in a very small home suitable for retired folks. The weaving school has cultured my creativity. I have yarn everywhere and my husband, who is very supportive tries not to comment on stumbling over bags of yarn or weaving accessories. I’ve had my eye on the Sampleit to do sampling, something that is very hard to do once I get a full warp on. Winning this would be the ultimate accomplishment and head off having to again explain why another loom. What a great anniversary gift to dream about! Thank you!!!!!
Dawn Overholt
The Sampleit loom would help me try colors for my table loom. It would be portable to take with me. I could also use it for tablet and tapestry weaving. It would be a great tool to use.
Thank you for the opportunity to win such a nice prize.
Sandy W
It would help me a great deal because it’s compact and make weaving more comfortable.
While a larger RHL is fabulous to create small & large projects, I feel like the smaller size of the sampler would enable me to:
– use less space when warping (a tabletop vs. a room),
– I could weave on my lap on the sofa (vs upright in a chair), and
– I think it would be more efficient because it is exclusively for smaller projects that seem cumbersome on a larger loom.
Carol Gibson
It would be great to have a small loom to practice new techniques and for travel! Congratulations on your six years and wish you msny more!
Diana Walford
Weaving soothes my racing mind and even when things go wrong it has a meditative quality. Your mantra “hey, it’s just yarn” is all spot-on for keeping cool and carrying on. It is finding the time and space to warp-up and start weaving on my larger loom which makes me restless until I can get round to it. The little Sampleit loom would be the final icing on the weaving cake!
Christie WN
This would be so useful, I am recovering from major back surgery and unable to sit and weave at my looms at the moment. The Sampleit loom is small enough that I could have it on my lap which would be amazing. What a great Giveaway and congratulations on your Online Weaving School success.
Kylie
Congrats Kelly! Your achievement does seem like the impossible but you’ve done it. It’s an inspiration to be honest. It’s a success story.
If I won this loom it would bring me so much pleasure. How can a loom in your life not bring you joy!!!! Everyone needs colour, texture and pattern in their lives and weaving hits the spot!!!!!
Mara Lusis
Thank you for being so generous, Kelly (as you always have been). I would love to have the 10″ SampleIt loom for tapestry weaving, while my larger loom is busy with scarves.
Lisa Wallen
Hi Kelly, If I won this loom I would happily pass it on to my young niece who has shown a strong interest in crafting. It would give me a lot of pleasure to share with her my love of crafting and newly found weaving.
I love all yarn and hand crafts but sharing it with like minded people is what makes it so much more enjoyable. To have a hound niece that is showing an interest is fabulous!
Chotard Doll
My goal is to help others learn the joy of weaving. I teach a small group of elders in my community to weave on small looms, an this would be a wonderful teaching tool for beginner s And i would introduce them to the gift o Kelley Casanova Dan her weaving wizardry, which has benefitted me so much. Congratulations on y our milestone of 6 years. May there be many more. It’s been a pleasure to watch you grow and expand to y our lovely farm quarters.
Carla van Wier
Thank you for all your lessons and inspiration. I love to have a small loom for sampling and try-out out color combinations
Carol Berjak
I have recently moved to a retirement complex and the Sampleit loom would enable me to show the other residents how relaxing and therapeutic weaving can be. I already own a 16inch Sampleit so the extra one would let me show others, who might not already have a hobby, what they can do with very little experience and expense.
Katrin
Congratulations on your 6th anniversary! I would use the Sapleit for exactly that… sample warps, wefts and new techniques. Also I could take it more easily outside to our allotment for example.
Patricia
Congratulations! I would use this loom for travel, and working on smaller weaving projects. Plus, this loom is perfect for swatches when I’m not sure which yarn will look better for the intended weave project.
Sally Steiner
I would have some many uses for a Sampleit Loom! Because I am constantly travelling for work and otherwise, I could take it along with me. I would find it very useful for sampling prior to embarking on bigger projects as well as for weaving in tandem with my bigger loom to make pieces of fabric for garment construction. Love all your content 🙂
Catherine OConnor
As I’m hoping to teach some students in our small national school , the small samplet loom would be great for small fingers and hands! Weaving with the young!
Sue Heathcote
Thank you for the opportunity to be in this draw.
The Sampleit Loom would give me a ‘spare’ rigid heddle loom. I love using the Rigid Heddle Loom, and sometimes I feel I would like to begin another project on my loom, but can’t as I already have something on it! eg – I would like to create a set of Krokbragt mats and be able to create one after another on a long warp, and leave and return as I am inspired with new designs. You also have some good patterns and ideas. Of course, it is a wonderful way to be able to see what a particular design will look like!
Thank you, Kelly, for the inspiration and help you have been over the time I have been a member. Take care, and God bless you and your family.
Kimbra Shadbolt
I could have this to take on outings to my friends and get them interested in weaving
Juliet Brollo
I would be very happy to win this giveaway. Simply because not only would I be able to create samples, I could also teach and weave with my grandchildren. I would love to be able to share my passion with them and there is definitely a couple of them that would love to weave alongside Grandma. Thanks for the opportunity to enter Kelly.
Cassandra Vines
I could carry it along with me on trips!
Heidi Stoll
With a SampleIt loom from Ashford, I can try out colors, or weft choices with a particular warp, or carry. Project with me which I cannot do with my four-harness floor loom! I see so many beautiful pieces posted on the Kelly Cassanova Facebook group that I have to show restraint so I don’t buy lots of yarn to make everything thing I see! I’ve learned so much with your courses and I look forward to learning more using the SampleIt if I win! Happy 6th “Birthday”!!
Wendy Bradley
I would love to start weaving on a rigid heddle loom, so far I have only tried small looms.
Wendy Graham
Congratulations my friend on reaching such a well deserved milestone. It is such a wonderful achievement- just think about the number of lives you have changed. I constantly thank my lucky stars for your kindness, talent, insights and advice.
A samplet loom would help with my budding dabbling with sample weaving. But more importantly it would allow me to take a project on holiday. I miss my loom and weaving when we travel so I always have my inklette with me. Weaving in the car is a wonderful way to pass the time on a road trip. This is a very generous opportunity- thank you Kelly!
Kalpana
I would like to have a smaller loom to try a quick warp with some yarns I’m not sure about!
Amanda Knox
Wow Kelly what an awesome prize that is so generous of you.
As a fairly new weaver I would love this loom so that I could do some sampling before warping up my bigger (24”) loom so I could see how colours and patterns look. Would also be lovely to have a little loom so that I could sit with family and weave in the evenings instead of being alone in my craft room!!
Dorthe Landsfeldt Kristiansen
If I win, then I can weave small pieces and I can make new patterns. I would really like to win🌞
Dina Bradford
First off, Congratulations Kelly, on so many members and years of your weaving school. How generous and kind of you to give away this as a prize. I would love a smaller loom to move easily throughout my house and take outside without my husband’s help and sample vs. a large loom. After fracturing 3 bones in my spine mine is impossible to move without help.
Uta Heft
With the little ONE I would like to make bracelet
for my granddaughters
