France
Hello Kelly,
Thanks for starting this list, it’s honestly something that’s lacking out there right now. I can provide some recommendations for suppliers in Spain and France as it took me some time to find a national supplier when I first went looking for a rigid heddle loom. Weaving on rigid heddle looms is not as popular in Spain as it is in the English speaking world but I have seen an increase in interest on Instagram over the past two years. As there are a huge number of English speakers living in Spain I thought I might share some sites that I have found reliable.
http://tejoloquehilo.es/es/ – Tejo Lo Que Hilo is the weaving supplier I use most as it’s in Sant Celoni in the province of Barcelona so delivery to the city of Barcelona is quick. They are an Ashford supplier and they appear to provide more or less the whole range. They also sell equipment and fibres for dyeing and spinning. This site is only available in Spanish or Catalan but can easily be translated with Google Chrome.
http://www.textilesnaturales.com/ – A business created by British weaver and designer Anna Champeney. The studio was originally located in the north-west of Spain in Galicia but I see this month they have announced that they are moving to Catalonia at present after 20 years in Galicia. Textiles Naturales is an Ashford supplier but also sell Louet table and floor looms. They run a school too but I believe it’s mostly for floor loom weaving. Their website is in English and Spanish.
http://www.artifilum.com/ – Lastly an Ashford supplier from the east of France in the Vosges. I have ordered an Ashford loom and additional heddles from this site and it has proved to be quite reliable. I wouldn’t usually order from outside Spain as international shipping costs can be expensive but this company offered reasonable rates. They also sell Glimakra, Toika and Leclerc looms. Their website is in French and English.
Very useful, thank you Patrick. I’ll add these to the list!
auntJenny.com.au is another, she specialises in Ashford brand and has yarn as well.
Wondering if you have any recommended/trusted suppliers of custom labels? I’m new to weaving and have watched many of your videos. The labels on your finished items got me thinking that I’d like to label what I make, too.
I used Fancyweaver for my labels, they were great 😊
Thank you! I’ll check them out. Also, thank you for all your wonderful instruction videos! I just started weaving a month ago, and 90% of what I’ve learned how to do is because of you. 🙂
That is lovely to hear Julia, I’m so pleased 😊
http://www.weftblown.com/ … http://thealpacaspinner.com/ … http://spinwise.co.uk/ … all UK retailers of weaving looms and accessories 🙂
Big Love, Kelly 🙂

I'm so glad you have Paradise Fibers on the list! They are a great local retail shop here in Spokane, WA. Their shop is a warehouse full of wonderful yarns, fibers, wheels, looms and all kinds of accessories. They have hundreds of fiber types and customer service has always been top-notch in my experience! I've also always had great experiences with Weaving Works when I'm in Seattle.
Thanks Laura, I've added you to the list 🙂
Crafty Frog in Kambah, Canberra is an approved Ashford Dealer. We have a large range of looms, wheels, fibres, cottons, felting supplies and much more in our bricks and mortar store as well as online. We also have classes ☺
